My brother was complaining about how he thinks I'm so lucky after a tree kick, I stepped up to my lie, which was about 75ft from the basket, with the basket being on about 10 feet of elevation, then grabbed a disc and looked him in the eyes while I threw my shot which proceeded to bounce off of a tree and directly into the basket.

When I first started playing in 2004, a buddy and I went on a road trip. Played several courses across the Midwest. We were at a course in Omaha Nebraska called Cottonwood Park. I just threw up a prayer on hole 7 from about 80 feet and I nailed it. Being so new to the game we went crazy, by far my best putt ever.

The best putt I've made was a 50 or 60 footer with my Harp in a 15+ mph crosswind. A small family had let me play through, and I received a polite applause from them for my birdie.

Instead I'll tell you about taking my brother out for his first time ever just last week. Hole 16 at Bud Pell, lined up a ~50 footer, basket elevated maybe 10 feet. He'd been struggling all round with some scattered decent shots (first timer) then he completely noodle-armed his putt. To my disbelief, the putter caught TWO big gusts of wind that picked it up and placed it dead center chains for his first birdie ever. He is now effectively hooked. Thats what its all about right? He has no discs of his own, if Eagle selects this comment as the winner i will give him the giveaway disc for Christmas. Thanks for looking!

    Thank you very much, Eagle!
You might like to thank that old random dude, because he got it 100% right: your putter truly is irrelevant.
Yeti will ask you to putt with your finger ON the rim, rather than under it. He is a 5X World Putting Champion, and my many conversations with him over the years finally made me realise and understand the importance of index-on-the-rim. (I despised it for over 2 decades!)
Your narrow staggered stance greatly holds back any pitch putting motion, as it greatly restricts the swing, but is fine for a spin putt. Pitch putters who stand in a straddle will always benefit from transitioning into a wide-staggered stance, where the swing remains the same, but their power increases dramatically.
I think only between 5 and 7% of all players have the physical talent to spin putt successfully. Successful putting lowers your score, rather than raising it. Spin putts are totally intuitive, and there is no real way to train yourself to execute them because thinking about a spin putt is death to a spin putt! In fact, the less you think about a spin putt, the better.
Jump-putting is 100% illegal, so it's good you don't do it. Chris Dickerson is a frequent jump-putter, for example.
No, what is legal is a "Putt-Jump" - Putt THEN Jump. But putt-jumpers and jump-putters alike often abuse their cardmates with their form, and so it is best if players do not use it at all. It avoids any discussion about legality and abuse of the rule.
It appears you are aligning your putt's Vertical Plane Of Play with your left eye. Are you left-eyed? It's important that whichever eye is dominant (most people are right-eyed) that the VPOP is aligned with it, otherwise the form will be inaccurate.

Wife was out of town, so I took my dog on a road trip to a course we don't get to play often, 1.5 hours from home. I played 18 holes and then the first 9 again. The local doubles guys were finishing up after doubles at a pavilion just by the basket for hole 9. I left my tee shot about 45 short of the basket. Drained the birdie, with the local guys I don't know watching, and they all clapped. It was great way to finish up 27 holes at a course away from home. Wasn't a tournament or doubles just a solo round but it was still a great putt ...

I've recently felt a new confidence in my putting it feels really good to just be able to make some putts for the first time in my disc golf career it feels like I can almost make a putt from anywhere within 60 feet and if I miss I make the come backer it's so fun to make a good putt. When I'm putting I feel like the way I'm starting to go I feel like I'm one step closer to going pro. I still have a lot to learn and more experience I need

It was my first year of playing, so understandably my putting was abysmal. I had a range of about ten feet. One day I was forced to throw through some trees probably fifty-five feet for par. I decided to really commit and BOOM. Nailed it.

Best putt I made was a 45’ hyzer putt through some very tight woods during the Magnolia Open B-tier. Had to stretch out on a knee once I thought I saw a gap. That putt boosted my confidence and led to my personal best round and tying first in my division for the first round!!!

At the end of the first round in one of my first disc golf tournaments I stepped up to my lie out of turn and used all of my jump putt to drain an 80 foot putt to end my round an grab the second position in my division after round 1. It was one of my proudest moments in disc golf because that putt propelled 12 year old me into the top card of the rec division at that tournament.

Best putt I ever made, I made for an EAGLE, par 4, great tee shot, putt about 40 ft downhill. Boosted my confidence like crazy as I am still fairly fresh to the sport.

Best putt I ever made was recent: I teach at a k-8 school, I’ve started a disc golf club there and helped install a local course near our school. No clubs with covid this year, and as my job changed slightly in October (level ‘orange’) this year so now I teach phys Ed (sort of), I took this opportunity to start taking small groups on the new course. One of the first times taking a group of kids out, I drained a slightly uphill, under some overhanging branches, 55 footer (spush putt!!). I was basically in shock, haven’t played recently (winter, crazy school, other reasons), and I cheered. I immediately announced that it was one of my best putts ever and that I do not normally drill big putts like that 😂

My best putt was this year at my 3rd tournament. I finally decided to make the leap and play tournaments. I made a 30 footer to stay in the money. Great feeling, and now I'm addicted to tournaments!

Best putt I ever made.. I was totally blocked off behind a tree about 60 ft away and I was down one shot to my brother in law... so i jump putted on a huge floaty hizer and hit middle chains.. I ended up loosing but I took the lead on that hole and I was so hyped. Perfect release, perfect weight and perfect speed.. it is just one of the reasons I love disc golf

It was a windy day on a newer course, and I was 30 from the basket behind some bushes. I threw a turbo putt and the wind took it from right to left straight into the chains for a birdie. My best putt ever.

I was in the second round of the first tournament this year, on lead card for the first time, and made a 35 footer from the bushes for birdie to take 2 strokes on the card. This putt gave me the lead and I went on to win my first tournament ever, it was an awesome boost!

My best putt recently was a 50 footer. I was having a bad putting day and was finishing up a round on hole 18 left my drive short and figured here we go again. Sent up a hyper putt and it was perfect. Best way to end a average round.

Putting is definitely one of my weaknesses but I'm pumped to go out and "putt" some of this to the test. The best putt I've pulled off was accomplished with a little bit of planning and a healthy dose of luck. I was about 25' out on a spider hole with no look on my side wider than a 2-3" gap. Since I was playing for fun with friends I decided I had to go for it, and put the putter on the hyzer of it's life time some how managing to slice clean through the gap and hit chains.

Visiting Portland, Oregon I was playing a round with my boys on a course with lots of hills, trees and grass. I was elevated about 20 feet on a hillside looking down on the basket about 80ft away. As I step putted, my foot slipped and my disc sailed from my hand up on hyzer. It then flexed into flat and faded majestically into the chains for my first ever eagle.

Left foot behind drive behind a bush, left leg FULLY extended, right knee on another disc for comfort. Brought disc underneath “you know what” and cashed in a 30 footer for a birdie. Almost pulled my “you know what” celebrating!!

My best putt ever was from about 80 feet away from the basket. It was slightly uphill, with lots of trees in the way. I threw my putter on a big hyzer out to the right side of the biggest tree and managed to sneak through all of the smaller ones and right into the heart of the chains for an eagle!

I had this goal to birdie every hole at Expo Park in Aurora since the day I started playing disc golf. Not in one round, it was a list I kept in my bag to motivate me to go out daily and get better. After 2 seasons I was down to 2 holes remaining. Hole 13 and hole 15 were impossible for my noodle arm to get it close. In February the lake on the right side of 13 had ice and some random dude said just skip it on the ice. So I hyzered it out there, it skipped forward and bam. Hole 15 was the only one left on the ratty list that was set to have a 3rd birthday soon. March 14th comes which was the day I started disc golf 3 years ago. To celebrate I added a new putter to the bag called the Razor Claw which came in 1 day earlier with the Huk Lab Stamp. This was set to be my throwing putter. When I tee'd off 15 that day I was extra motivated to not go another year without this birdie. I was 70ft away and here comes the Razor Claw. I use the same stance as Eagle, but don't have the coordination to jump putt. I pulled that putt way right in my mind but the Claw had other plans. It hooked sideways left, Right in the HEART of the chains. I can still hear them ring when I close my eyes. I have a new list now.

The best putt I have ever made has to be at Fossil Ridge High, It was hole 18 and I had a drive the put me in a bad position about 40-50 feet away. When I got up to my put I didn't know what or how to even throw from the position but I end up putting my right for at my disc marker and leaning back with my left leg behind and throw a big hyzer through a tight gape and put it in for birdie to finish out a good round!!

My best putt was at Whiskey Hills in Michigan. 125 ft down hill death putt on a tall elevated basket. I told myself to give it everything I had and continued my follow through by stepping through and running down the hill as it smashed dead center chains with a D-line P2.

Best putt I’ve ever made was out of my putting range, so I had to jump putt. The basket was up hill and guarded by branches from my view point. I had 1 hole to aim for and nailed the putt. I’m guessing the putt was 70 feet, but played closer to 100 since it was up hill. 3 other guys were walking by and saw it. All of them were stoked and congratulated me. Such an awesome feeling. At no point did I think I was going to make it.

Difficult Par 3 Hole 18. Just missed an easy put on hole 17 for Birdie to set my self up for a new PB with a Par on hole 18. Never birdied 18, ever. Small creek all along the left side. 281 ft to a very small green with steep drop offs 3/4 around the basket. My tee shot landed 40 ft front the basket but it was left and down in the valley. The basket was about 15ft above my head from where my disc landed. I had the disc lined up for the birdie and to get my PB of the course... Putt the disc way about my head with some anhyzer and....DRAINED THE PUTT for my new PB at my local course!!! By far my greatest putt thus far! Hope you liked it! Great content Eagle!

Played in a tournament back in September. Came down to the final hole with me being one stroke back. Other guy who had a stroke went OB on his second shot (par 4) layed up since I went OB as well. Banged the 60ish footer to tie for the playoff. I’ve never celebrated so hard in my life!

I was hanging out with my brother at a course near his house, had a ton of fun on the day and it was getting dark, near the last hole. I ended up losing my envy on the drive Dx but reteed and drained like a 60 footer right before dark. Great memory with the bro and at least some redemption for the lost disc :)

The best putt I ever made was playing in a doubles glow round with my dad. We ended up behind a hemlock tree just able to see the basket through it about 25 feet away. He went first and putted through the tree and somehow hit the cage. He said "I showed you the line, now make it." I proceeded to drain the putt through the tree in the dark. Definitely a memory I will have forever.
