    the power loss is due to electronic inefficiencies, which are totally normal. the most important aspect of such a controller is HOW WELL it tracks the maximum power point, that is, regulate panel voltage for maximum power. That voltage is higher at low temperature and high luminosity, and lower when the panel gets hot and the sun is weaker/cloudy sky

      I totally agree with you. As far as I can tell it's doing a good job. But to be honest, there are probably someone out there who knows more about this then me. There is always a bigger fish in the sea 🙂

      @@ollelund I have a couple of different boost mppt controllers which I will compare under different light and temperature conditions, some of them don't actually asdjust the panel voltage, so they're not searching for maximum pv power. for those who do adjust the pv voltage remains the question how accurately and quickly they find the MPP voltage

    Question. When charging a battery you should use a pure sine wave inverter to protect the battery. What type of current do it make?

      Olle...That reminds my of a famous Finish Ice Hockey player, Olli Jokinen anyways Danish hockey fan living in Tokyo Japan trying to optimize solar from my balcony. I have 900kwh abt in 8x 110w panels in parallel. They are only at 18v and so I have to boost it to charge my 24v system. They NEED to be in parallel because of shading issues . I have looked at different options for this. Experimenting with a straight boost converters atm and this is ugly-

    I use the 600w charge booster for my 48V 16ah Ebike ... No problems whatsoever... As a matter of interest what is the smallest ( wattage )Solar panel you can use on the 300w booster

    • @ollelund
      @ollelund  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I have been trying it with a 60 watt solar panel and that was working just fine! I don't have any smaller panel so I don't really know how it would work.. What type of input did you use for charging the e bike

    Is it possible to set up the Ampere ?

    • @ollelund
      @ollelund  Před 11 měsíci

      It depends what you want to do. If I for example wajt to charge with 50v and have an input of 500w then the ampere will be 10 (500/50=10). So if you want higher amp you will need to charge at a lower voltage.
