@clownpendotfart: Karen Elson's album is name "The Ghost Who Walks". She was named The Ghost being that pale in her school days. The album is produced by hubby Jack White who plays also drums and produced the album. On guitar Jackson Smith son of the legendary Patti Smith and the late (RIP) Fred 'Sonic' Smith. This song is alas not on the album. I would have loved that too. It's worth to listen to Karen's album though.

yeah, the guitar she's playing is a fender jaguar. it's an electric guitar, plugged into a very nice sounding amp which is on low volume. thanks for posting this by the way!

@clownpendotfart Mes Aieux is the only band from Quebec I've heard of, so that's why I mentioned it. The only band from France I'm aware of is Overmars, and that's just because of the song "Deux Mesures de Solitude".

@clownpendotfart: I agree I'm listening to her album at the moment. It's very different from what I usually listen too. I love her for a long time as a model. Her album is great and a pleasant surprise. Great musicians but what else can we expected when you're other name is Mrs "White".?

Melissa was not a lead singer until somewhat recently, but she still sang. So I would say that's how she got there. She played bass as well, but does that really stand out?

A good number of covers are improvements, they tend to become more famous than the originals. Jimi Hendrix' "All Along the Watchtower" for instance. And, to commit a blues blasphemy, Cream's version of Crossroads.

I don't know much about either person, but I think Auf Der Maur is a brunette. I was also surprised by what a good singer Elson (who I had never heard of before) is here, considering she doesn't do that for a living.
In the off-chance that the newly reformed Smashing Pumpkins do not ask for her to join back up with them, perhaps Auf Der Maur should ask Danzig and Jerry Cantrell if they are looking for a bass-player for the collaborative album they have yet to begin on.

In all seriousness, I've heard several people claim he doesn't practice guitar much and the reason they stopped playing Justice stuff live was because he wasn't up to it anymore.

Is the acoustic guitar called a "jaguar"? I am not a musician so I am not familiar with the lingo. If you are referring to the large tree-climbing cat that lives in the South American jungle, then it is clearly not there.

Many share your opinion on Danzig albums. After that it became less a band than a person. Kind of like Alice Cooper. Also, if you are thinking of Meg White, she is actually Jack's ex-wife.

@fableofdream I thought in English Canada there was a requirement that everything be printed in both French & English while in Quebec most stuff is just French. Personally, I favor independence for Quebec. Not because I know enough about the place to make an informed judgment, I just favor secession anytime anywhere for any reason.
