I *LOVE* Los Tacos No 1! They also make a "tortilla" completely out of cheese. It's very rich but definitely worth trying at least once.

hint, avoid places where a lot of tourist go. if you don't care about getting ripped off, by all means go for it. go uptown or get on the subways and go to local places in other boroughs. s... 8.50 for a f....... hot dog that taste like a slip jim? wtf? man, take your friends to gray's papaya! the hot dog server gave you a look like wtf!

Haven’t been to Chelsea Market yet, but have heard good things about Miznon. Dizengoff was there for a while, but recently closed. We had their hummus and shakshuka in Philly and it was delicious
Chelsea Market seems like the polar opposite of the kind of content you two would cover !! But worth going to at least once, even for locals ;) {Prob my 5th time)
I ate at that Thai place next to Friedmans and trust me, you were not missing out. Hawkers is way better!

Chelsea market It is completely worth it, It's not cheap, I was here to see my girlfriend who studied here in New York but it's completely worth it

Los mariscos right by tacos no.1 was so much better and had better seating. Its hidden in chelsea market in the same area

Hahhaa. The one we showed is right behind Los Tacos, i think there's a sign that says "Los Mariscos". Not a real secret, but kind of unknown. Also a cool bar I recommend downstairs which is a little hard to find called The Tippler.
I think it's a shame they serve that hot dog on that bun. It deserves better.
