    Well, done a useful tutorial. I wonder if there are any good techniques to go from Cubase timeline of the entire film, which usually has some 2-3K bars for a feature to Dorico? If you could give insights on that, it would be great. That will need some kind of XML import, but I wonder if there are any practical insights how to handle the entire process?

    This looks really great guys, well done! With the intricate attention to frame-rate and tempo relationship detail you've implemented, can we expect video sync to be 100% consistent no matter where score playback is started from? I ask as this is an ongoing issue with at least one scoring application still using the old Quicktime/Windows Media plugin as its video engine, where frames can jump two frames forward or backward when 'allegedly' scrolling through frame by frame...

    Looks really nice. Actually Dorico now kinda got better video functionalities and options then Cubase, how it can handle reels or cues with the different flows. And also with the tempo finder.
    Guess Cubase might (hopefully) gets inspired by that...

    Wow, great, Anthony, thank you for the info. When you showed the Video formats /frame rates near end, was this for Dorico only, or for all Steinberg products? Thank again.

      Thanks Kerry! The info shown is taken from the Steinberg web help article about 'Video support in Nuendo, Cubase and Dorico', which you can find here: helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000808250-Video-support-in-Nuendo-Cubase-and-Dorico. Thanks, Anthony

    I'm trying to understand the markers. When I creat the marker, it doesn't place it in the exact right spot that I chose. I also notice after I make a marker, I can move it around on the score and yet the timecode stays the same instead of changing to the new point I'm moving it to. So then the markers are inaccurate.

    • @dorico
      @dorico  Před rokem

      You can move markers graphically in Engrave mode if they clash with something else on the score. You can remove your position overrides by turning off the 'offset' option in the Properties panel.

    hi, when importing the video (mp4) I get an error window saying that the format is not supported. What can it depend on?

    The right click option does not work for Dorico 4. What is the solution to add video?

    • @dorico
      @dorico  Před rokem

      Did you right-click on the flow in the lower zone in Setup mode and choose the video option? It's still the same in v4.

    can markers shown in voices ,mot omly on the top of the full score?

    • @dorico
      @dorico  Před 5 lety

      I'm not sure you mean by voices, but you can display the markers at the top or bottom of a system, or on a timecode staff above a particular family of instruments, e.g. strings. You can also show markers on individual parts if you want to, not just the score.

    I'm attempting to score to the video for #westworldcompetition2020 but my program seems to fail to play the imported video properly. I've matched the frame rate (23.98) but when I attempt to play the video with the score, the video turns pink and starts glitching. When I resize the window, it temporarily solves the issue but then it starts glitching again and eventually the visuals stop. Please help! I'm on Dorico Elements 3 on a trial version on Windows 10.
    Edit for another question: assuming I can get anything to work properly by the deadline, how can I upload the video with my scoring onto CZcams? Is there any way?

    • @jackaguirre8576
      @jackaguirre8576 Před 4 lety

      Also, when I can get the video working, I often press play and the window disappears.
