The original song is "Royal infirmary-durutti column" but I have to say this version is a lot better, in my eyes, and ears😂. Vini you genius

Agreed. This is the definitive version. I'm still so pissed off at the BBC for not even airing the full performance. Yet another bloody good reason for never paying another penny of their TV licence.

      I totally agree 👏
How many times as the durutti column ever played live on the TV?
I was lucky enough to see them twice, both in Manchester.
It is typical of the BBC to do this sort, but they wouldn't do this to Eastenders fans.
      I bet.😂👎🏼

There is a marked similarity. But not much more than the similarity in the sound-world of say Sensations Fix to that of Pylon, or Love Tractor, which has even more of a similarity, co-incident in commission to tape, as best as I can find, between one of the latter's tracks, and an oft-celebrated guitar track of the Smiths. I'm thinking its the Cemetery Gates riff, no less, but I may be mistaken. Anyone? We're wandering afield. Nice track, nice embellishments upon the original.

It probably ended because they more than likely had to go to some pathetic trailer for Britain's Got Big Idiots Grand Finale or some such utter crap, never mind about a true genius, underrated for 40 years and - oh, I don't know, let's just cut it off because we can earn money from what comes next....the BBC are an embarrassment...
