    This short film was so emotionally touching because it holds a strong reality within the story, and that strong reality is LOVE. And here's some insight for those into science fiction...this little science fiction film right here will one day be science fact. The reality may not be as crude looking as it is here in this film, but the circumstances will be very similar...the truth of love will transcend the boundaries and limitations of flesh, thus bringing about a new and deeper and richer definition to the nature of what it is to be truly human.

      Some of the most paranoid people in the world are those that are in love with other people. Being in love brings in the touchy subject of "trust" ...and "trust" can often lead to paranoia. But, it is true how love can conquer many things...even paranoia from time to time...why not, right?! ...Also, love in the general sense, love amongst people can have a peaceful effect on people, and even prevent or stop wars and hatred...this I believe and know with all my heart and soul...God allows for such a possibility if we choose it.

      You're obviously and insightful and thoughtful man as to how you have the realization that love is a very broad and very deep emotional experience for humanity...and how the experiences of love will become even richer as we progress into a very different future that we cannot even imagine in the here and now.

    Incredible! This might be closer to the reality than any of reality shows. We lie to ourselves to make life easier, choose to see things differently from what they really are, we try to shield our kids from all the horrors around us - sometimes not noticing how much stronger they are compared to us. The boy should not forget, and the father should not pretend... but the reality hurts them so much that they do.

      In English:
      It means the robot child was originally designed to be a weapon. The person who the robot keeps calling papa reconfigured the robot to be a "child". The seller was warning the person that even if the robot was programmed to act as a child, it still had original purposes as a weapon, and could revert back to being a weapon -- which did happen when the robot was attacked later in the video.
      In Russian (via Google Translate):
      Это означает, что робот- ребенок был первоначально разработан, чтобы быть оружием . Человек, который робот продолжает называть папашу перенастроить робота , чтобы быть " ребенок" . Продавец предупреждает человека , что даже если робот был запрограммирован, чтобы действовать как ребенок , он все еще имел оригинальные цели в качестве оружия , и может вернуться к тому, оружие - что случилось , когда робот напал позже в видео ,

    Well first of all I've never watched a short movie before.. Always saw the short movie nominations in Oscars but never got around and watched one, I'm glad this was my first..

    Absolutely beautiful... For me, Science-Fiction isn't just about futuristic stories, or stories about technology... Sub-plots, sure. Science-Fiction is about beauty, wonder and awe. This had me invested in the story and its characters from the beginning until the end. The major thing for me with any film, is story and its pacing. You guys nailed it. Well done.
    When the little android-child decided to wipe its memory, my heart sank. Not many short films can get me feeling like that.

    This is one of the best movies I've seen on CZcams. A lot of these short films are more showcases of software or proof of concept. This one was a good story. It's got great potential for lengthening as well.

    A beautiful irony; even in this depicted dystopian society, seemingly impossible love between man and machine results in the most touching aspect of humanity.. self-sacrifice.

    • @jeremym3772
      @jeremym3772 Před 7 lety +1

      Giacomo Cimini maybe use this to create another kick starter you already have footage so im guessing(i dont know) you could use this to fund more of it and add more footage. add more footage and put it up on a site that allows the creator to charge a price for a particulat view. Could i ask what cost the most in this project?

    • @jeremym3772
      @jeremym3772 Před 7 lety +3

      Giacomo Cimini well hope you do looks like an interesting movie. Something netflix would actually be interested in. I know you said they come to you but maybe try getting this shown at a film festival in hopes of getting more financial backers with the aim of getting it on netflix or amazon

      ***** I just watched, the actors pulled me into it, so it was really enjoyable.
      I especially loved the subtle effects, the dingy room with a high tech panel on the wall, the dystopian city with robotic butterflies.
      A far cry from Hollywood were the CGI overwhelms the film or the film has to depend on special effects. Reminds me of the use of tech in Blade Runner.
      Thanks again, a pleasure to watch.
