Ok, I laughed my ass off while watching this. All of us can relate to this guy's frustrations with the continuous pop-ups and error messages. Well done.
This is exactly what my computer has been doing due to all these compulsory updates from all the BigTech companies. We're helpless in their grubby hands and now that they are aligned with government, regulations cause more updates until nothing works. This movie is a prophetic masterpiece in a very short few minutes.
The only "help-desk" call that I've seen which is even more realistic than this one, is the one in Transformers 1 when the soldiers need to make an emergency call while Scorpion attacks.
Bob's Discount Galactic Weaponry....Love it.
Brilliant!!! A well balanced SciFi- we can really relate to his frustration!
Haven't we all experienced this? Updates and interruptions? Buffering? Freezing? I totally understand smashing some device.
Yes but did you turn it off, wait a minute and turn it back on?
My personal favorite: is it plugged in? ❤
Excellent! This concept should be used in ALL space vids and movies. Ultimate believability.
Those farmers with John Deere equipment have probably experienced something similar
When I saw that it was only six minutes, I knew that it was going to be good. Didn't realize that it would be great!
Totally relatable. Loved it.
This was so original, so true to a point. An 😉 enjoyable film. Thank you!
This sums up most of my electronic and digital experiences.
You should have ended the video by zooming in on the weapon to see it finally come “online” and functional. That would have been funny. 😃👍🏻
funny you say that! we were toying around with having that as a post-credit scene but ended up cutting it out!
AWWWW.......
Welcome to the world of subscription models.
Wow, just like real life.
Very well done guys, very well made!
I was not too sure what to expect. So glad I clicked on this video.
Always start with the hardware layer.
I was expecting to find out he was playing a video game. Very well done!
Entirely accurate. I'm not sure we'll EVER get past the need for updates, since it seems like EVERYTHING is now controlled by software. But wait! Version 2.01.a.09x will fix all the problems that you've experienced up to now. Please deposit 2000000 credits to download this patch...
i don’t know if it was intentional or not, but the subtle “smiley face” in the puff of smoke was fittingly appropriate.
the eternal parable about discount software and its bugs.... a deadly combination LOOOOL
I just saw this and the spaceship! Great work Xander!
in the sequel, klippy pops up trying to help him with his update.
Lol, really funny. I feel like I have a lot of gear like that. Never working when I really need it. Especially those cursed updates. Why can't they just make a product that just works? Imagine having a car that you have to take to the mechanics every day to update, just so you can drive it for a while.
You mean a Tesla?
Imagine a world where you have to pay a subscription to enable features on your self driving car only to have it drive itself back to the dealership when the loan payment fails.
Oh, hang on....
Genius.
That is exactly what is already wrong with the internet AND why we should NEVER switch to cloud-based automatic appliances.
Reminder, get updates before leaving home.
OK, wasn't expecting much, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised.
Very funny work.
A fun "thinker" flick 😏
Thanks for sharing your time and talents with all!
Much gratitude ❣️
Excellent, just so!
This is like clicking on a Zoom link seconds before the show starts and discovering the need for several minutes of updates
We've all been there!
well done
sfm got a massive graphics update
Brilliant!
This is brilliant. This needs to be incorporated into something larger to truly get the gist of it.
The bow and arrow makes more sense all the time.
keep your eyes peeled 👀
I did not know Adobe got into the interplanetary weapons business.
Humans when A.I. takes over weapons updates and licensing agreements.
But ohooow nohoooow he did not want to spend the extra couple hundred galactic credits on the upgrade to a "brand name" blaster with personal mobile force field package!!
armature!
Gort’s about to fry you, so “enjoy your imminent defeat”! 🤦🏻♂️😄
Hey guys, that was really good. I just loved it. There are day's when I feel exactly the same. I even say "Ah Shit"....
If Apple made a laser gun.
The "I gun"
I cracked up with laughter....SOOOO relatable !
Who made a rifle using windows?
Funny..nice for a change! Great job..
Very nice and original. Thank you.
Future mercenaries will all look like a cross between football hooligans and Barnabas Collins?
Hillarious from start to finish. I'm still laughing!😂
Closed captioning for interested hard of hearing people?
Brilliant point! Definetly something we're going to try and get added to this and our other films over the next few days, and will aim to add to our future films going forward!
we've just added some!
This is why we will not have computers running Galactica!!!
All I can say is 😅😂🤣, well done. We all have days like this. Excellent work.
Thanks 👍
Awesome! That was funny.
Brill
Should have had a linux operating system.
Great work! When you need customer service in a hurry, you learn you're SOL. But not to worry because you don't need them anymore.
Lol! This was great!
good one!!
Finally, the reality of all things technical….
...very stupid bounty hunter to not cover from the monster when he was unarmed. No fear nothing
thank you 😁
So relatable 😂
A look at our probable future. I will leave a note to my descendants not to buy their rifles from Discount Bob. Hope they get it.
Cool monster! Discount rifles?🤣🤣
I'll take my old M1A any time!🤣 Thanks!👍👍
EXACTLY ........i'm not a gamer at all , but the metaphor was very cool....the hrs. listening to muzac , only to be redirected and hung up on...............perfect.....there are days i nearly wish for this and
5:32 God, do I know that feeling!!
Bravo bravo clap clap
Lol, that was great!
My curiosity wanted to know what his weapon messages said...? Then I just wanted the alien robot to ... ? If you watch it, you'll find out.
We've all been there
If it ran on Linux he would not have those pesky update problems, it would just function.
LINUX proudly supporting ‘Intergalactic Arms’
Interesting take on the never own your purchases World
Technology is wonderful.....when it works....
That was too funny.
Too realistic...
I was waiting for it to get to the part where some East Indian woman picks up the phone and starts speaking in a heavy accent that he could not understand. LOL
lol
Great job...Genuis idea....but very few views 💔
it was mah but better than my lol i see how ur gonna turn out in another 10 years myg 💕💕🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank god TF2 doesn’t update. We’d really have to deal with that! …this is a reference to the hit hat themed war simulator, Team Fortress 2.
Windoze 25?
Enjoy your imminent defeat. Hilarious.
If Microsoft made weapons
LOL
Why not just run or make a trade for a brand new pair of underpants ?
Pft, you are a bug, trying to stay concealed out in the open when there is forest all around?
we were homing noone would notice that bit...
@@redsaturnmedia From a movie producers standpoint I can recognize that having the MC out in the open made it easier to film him from different angles and distances. ;)
😃😃😃
😄
No se porque pero pensé que se refería al de el TF2 jajaja
yo igual
I prefer tf2 expiration date
Running gag of rifle pop-up ran longer than the movie itself. Plus at 460 dpi, only a few words were viewable. For these, a down vote. My disappointment magnified because there are good elements of this film.
Yeah thats definetly something we realised recently and we've made an effort to fix for future projects! Glad you enjoyed it otherwise though!
Nonsens 👎🏼
🟦... I enjoyed this, but I sympathize and share in his frustration, I Too had to stop this video SEVERAL times to hold it up to a mirror so I could read the message that he was seeing,... it probably would have been best to spare us the aggravation &
made ALL the shots of the messages from HIS perspective so we don't have to stop and magnify to read the blurry backwards lettering on his virtual screen!
Good point! Definetly something we're bearing in mind for future projects...
