  • Hello and welcome (back) to my channel! :)
    In today's video I'm going to share with you my experience with skincare and how quitting skincare was the best decision I've ever taken (and why you should too) ! The skincare industry is making us think that all those (expensives) products are "supposed" to clear your skin... Well, let me tell you that NONE of this is TRUE.
    So, if you're interested to have a clean skin WITHOUT skincare products, then this video is for you ! I invite you to try, at least for one week, to stop your skincare routine and see what happens. You'll be very surprised by the results (in a good way!). There are life-changing skincare habits.
    I hope you enjoyed the video, if so, please be sure to leave a like & comment down bellow!! I always comment back, and love interacting with you guys!

    Great video! You talk so much sense and it so refreshing to hear such honest and important experience sharing on the topic of skin, especially as the beauty industry is really becoming harmful in regards to pushing products that can actually be harmful to our skin. I came from a comment you left on a similar video :) I also stopped using skincare after it ruined my skin and only wash my face with water a couple of times a week and my skin is finally healing! Im irritated by all spf mineral and physical so I don't use that, and for anyone who is also sensitive to it thats okay. Just be careful and sensible in sun.

      This is such a sweet comment. Thank you very much ❤️
      Yeah I think that this topic is very important, espacially because of all the trends and marketing about it, making us believe that it's essential... while it's not!
      I'm glad that I am not the only one in this situation! For thr sunscreen, it took me ssoooo long to find a good one. All the others were harmful to my skin so i stopped using it!

    my skin looks best when I leave it alone and use few, but gentle products
    people need to understand you DON'T NEED all those products (acids, exfoliation, vit C etcetc)

      @kainatbatool622 hi so sorry for the long update! So I quit skincare for a week, I would like to say that I have normal skin and no too very little acne as well I do not wear makeup. I think quitting skincare went very well! My skin used to be quite red, but now it is much more pale and even look! Additionally, the little acne I had healed well! However, I did miss the selfcare aspect, especially as I really enjoy doing sheet masks just in order to relax, so I missed that. In all I would recommend everyone to try quitting skincare even if it is just for a while, and I have greatly decreased the skin care I do use!

      Hello back! ❤️
      Thanks for letting us know how it went! I'm so glad you found it in some way useful!
      But I also understand the selfcare aspect. I miss it too sometimes !! So when I really want to "treat myself" I do it. It's not a big deal! If it's only from time to time it won't harm your skin
      I think that the most important thing is to try to do whatever is GOOD for YOUR skin and not what you SHOULD or not do 💌✨️

    I wash my face only with water in the morning and apply a serum of hyaluronic acid and my sunscreen to lock in the moisture, and i do something similar at night but with a moisturizer that i like. Less products and gentle actives are the key. Also following advice from a dermatologist is better from follow the advice of some random influencer. They use to be very clear and say "you don't need all these products". A 10 step skincare routine can damage your skin barrier and cause you breakouts or skin sensitivity and redness. Simpler is better.

    • @theworldofmimii
      @theworldofmimii  Před měsícem

      Yes i agree with you. Those long skincare routine are destroying the barrier of the skin and damage it. Sometimes, influencers have like 17 steps with so many different products... hope people are going to realize of useless, or worse, harmul, all these products are!

    Bonjour et merci pour cette vidéo très intéressante. J'aimerais aussi réduire ma routine. Je me demandais quelle crème solaire utiles tu quotidiennement et comment tu la retires si tu ne nettoies pas ton visage ? Merci et bonne journée

      Bonjour et merci beaucoup pour ce commentaire 💌
      Jai cherché pendant des années une creme solaire qui ne m'irrite pas la peau et qui est (relativement) bien composée. J'ai fini par trouvé que l'huile solaire (50) de La Rosée était la meilleure option. Elle est très fluide, s'imprègne facilement dans la peau et (pour ma part) ne m'a pas fait de bouton ni d'irritation. Pour un budget plus restreint, j'apprécie également la crème protectrice visage et corps 50 de chez Corine de Farme. Elle est plus épaisse que l'huile mais fonctionne très bien !
      Je ne pense pas qu'il soit nécessaire de la retirer étant donné qu'elle n'est plus présente sur la peau après quelques heures seulement (elle doit être renouvelée). Mais si tu souhaites vraiment enlever les derniers résidus je te conseille une huile ou une crème demaquillante, qui fait très bien le travail !

    So when you take a shower you avoid your face so you go to bed with all the pollution particles, oil and dust that have built up onto your face during the day?
    Best way to break out.

    • @theworldofmimii
      @theworldofmimii  Před 21 dnem +1

      I understand your point of view but i don't share it. Washing my face every single day is, at least for me, the best way to break out. That's why I only do it from time to time, when I feel like my skin needs it (after a workout, a long day in a big city, or when it's very hot) 😉

      @theworldofmimii how often do you work out? I started this regimen about a month ago but i wash my face with water twice a day and there's been no improvement. Ill wash it less but my issue is i plan on returning to my old gym schedule which was 6 times a week and i dont know how often i should try to wash my face with all the sweat but also not completely stripping my face of its natrual oils
