Arenas doesn’t like Giannis because he thinks his entire game is brute force. And Arenas doesn’t like foreign players in general on top. He makes some good points but he is also clouded by his bias. Deeper than that , it must also hurt him to see someone he thinks he is more skilled than and works harder than accomplish much more. Arenas did it to himself with his immaturity. But seems like that lesson hasn’t fully digested in his head yet.

Miami has played the Bucks 3 times in the last 4 seasons...2020 (Bubble) Miami won 4-1, Giannis got hurt in game 3 and missed games 4 & 5. In 2021, Bucks swept Miami 4-0, Giannis played all 4 games. In 2023, Miami beat Bucks 4-1, Giannis got hurt in game 1 and missed games 2 & 3. With that said, Miami plays the Bucks well, but all this Giannis struggles against them narrative has to stop. If he stays healthy, Bucks are a better team than the Heat.

Middleton lost a step on defense. His offense is still good but he isn’t the defender he used to be.

Giannis is a great play maker and passer. If you watch him, you see he’s constantly setting guys up. If his teammates make shots the Bucks will win. Gil’s takes are always horrible. And as a female, he says disgusting things about women
Bucks starting 5 has the best net rating in the whole NBA. Bobby and one other bench player playing at a high level is all the bucks need. I agree with gil on the gameplan based on series. Now that you have a weapon like Dame, when that miami wall is built, KMidd and Dame are gonna let those 3’s fly and really kill them on the perimeter. Add in one hero game from crowder, lopez, or beasley and the games are lethal. In my opinion, the only team the bucks can really lose to are the nuggets and that’s because the best player is so skilled that he can simply CHOSE the style of game everytime they match up. 30 and 10 assists is just as easy as 10 and 30 assists for the Joker. And when the game is down to the wire, you already know what Jamal Murray is capable of. What the Bucks need is to find a way to make sure the others arent finding a groove. MPJ and Gordon can’t be free out there. Jokic can drop 40 in his sleep, but even if he and Murray drop 40 a game each for the whole series, the others are what will really win them the games. I personally trust the bucks role players more in certain situations. I think Jokic will have a very hard time guarding the various PnR’s the bucks can throw out there. Giannis can set a screen or be the ball handler just as easily. They have 3 ball handlers and 3 screeners as well (Giannis is both a screener and handler) and i can already imagine the mayhem of denying the original look just for the 2nd action off that original PnR to take place and so on so forth until boom, a random open shot for Jae/Beas/Brook. Dealing with that all series will be quite a stuggle. I genuinely believe the bucks have the most solid role players, the best trio in the league, and championship DNA from their main guys. Dame has never won, but if you’ve ever paid any attention to what he has done in this league (OT game w denver, OKC walkoff, etc) you’d think twice before doubting him
The only player , People fear on the bucks bench is Portis , who can also have games where he is terrible , and the Bucks defense is terrible , Stop acting like you have played like a championship team all year long , the Bucks have a major flaw defensively , especially against teams that can spread defenses out and attack on the Perimeter, Dame at times still struggles to play with Giannis , his best games have been when Giannis isn’t on the court

I used to think Gil was a hater but when he speaks about Giannis there is some truth past all the trolling. The way Giannis plays at the top of the key it’s hard for others to fit into the offense. Good teams are able to pack the paint WHILE also getting to the shooters. When Giannis is off the ball there’s no room for anyone else to drive.
This exactly! Giannis will generate open shots no matter what but i think the style of play gets overlooked. Giannis can dominate but we get stagnant with everyone else is standing around waiting for a kickout. I'm not saying abandon this, but we are better as a team and harder to stop in the half court when there's more player and ball movement and everyone touches the ball.

This is kind of an aside but I heard Grayson Allen say in an interview that with all the spacing in PHX it’s way more easy to score than it was playing with Giannis. I don’t think it was a shot at MIL it’s just facts. The gravity isn’t the same as it is with Lebron, Luka, Jokic, or even KD. Khris is fine with it but not everyone can play like that.

Only a fool would want the ball in Dame's hands over Giannis at the end of the game. Watching Dame this season makes me realize just how special Giannis is. That Lakers game showed me everything I needed to see with Dame getting the ball at the end. And Arenas is very wrong with the Bucks. I agree Dame and Giannis don't work. I think that is more Dame's fault than Giannis. I think Dame is overrated a doesn't play winning basketball.
