This is one of my favorite capsule wardrobe videos here ever I think! I love it because you truly have personal style. It’s not the same old minimalist look popular to CZcams. It’s so clear you know yourself so well and have refined your taste precisely. Plus I love cool tones too! And second hand garments.
I love silk. I’ve been soooo lucky to have a whole closet full of it. I got it mainly from high end consignment shop in California😊 for a deep discount as the store went through a deep purge. From Diane von furstenburg, equipment, to winter Kate, most were brand new with tags still attached, Americans are consumers and I did sold 100’s of clothes from high end to mid range brands. I also gave away lots to friends, when I had moved to Finland. But yes silk is my top choice for textiles, then cashmere. I started off with just 7 silk blouses and a dress that I wore in rotation, until now I have excessive amounts 300 items dress, jackets, pants skirts , etc…
I'm not at all a minimalist, but I live in a very small house, so I should probably try.
I very much enjoyed hearing you put so much thought into each item. I hope you enjoy wearing them and that they keep you cool and comfortable.
I also love natural fibers (especially linen), well-made clothing, and thrifting. I knit, and it was wonderful to see you include items you made, including your crocheted sweater.
I'm looking forward to seeing more videos from you.
Thrifting is like hunting for treasure - you never know what gems you might find! I also love the thrill of the hunt when it comes to thrifting. 😊
Hunting for treasures, yes!
Oh my gosh, your wardrobe is so cool and yet so simple, love how you pull it off! Congrats to your colour scheme and your lovely DIY projects, great cardigan.
Thank you! 🤗
Ana I love you and your videos! You remind me of Amélie and you are so refreshing! Please continue being you and posting your own lovely style bits❤
Oh, you're so kind, Monika ❤️ Thank you!
"I do have one; so why not show it?" Exactly! Wise words and how much more varied and fun it makes the world.
Shockingly, wool can be awesome for summer. Many wears before requiring a wash and can be freshened in between wears with a spray of water and vodka. Very pricey though.
I haven't worn wool in summer yet, but I'm curious to try merino.
Very creative styling ❤. Some of the things I learned:
Thrift
Good fabric
Experiment with tailoring and making your own clothes
Color is key
Mix and match
Artistically sustainable style!🧡
I love the grey dress. Linen is my favourite fabric. You look quite bohemian ! :) love it.
Thank you, Ellen ❤️
I'm a very pale Irish woman living in subtropical Asia, I feel ya! Really love winter here feel so comfortable dressing cosy and wrapped up!
Love your summer outfits though 😍
Yay, fellow winter fan! Love wrapping myself up too ❤️
I have recently filmed my wardrobe tour and like you, mine was mainly dresses too 😁 I love them. They help with weight fluctuations, no digging in waistbands, you can wear them all seasons by layering and styling and they are a complete outfit in themselves-no struggling to mix and match items. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of your outfits and think they complement your style very well ❤ I love to crochet also but I always struggle making clothing! Best wishes from Wales, UK ❤
I will take winter over summer every time. Also I think you look great in anything!
Ypu're so sweet, Deb ❤️Thank you!
Love cool weather with some sunshine low humidity.
Such a lovely aesthetic you have. I like simple lines and natural fabrics that drape nicely. I do not like feeling constricted in my clothing so your wardrobe is quite appealing to me. To notice the sound of the fabric made me smile, it’s not an attribute one hears mentioned often. Great video as always, thanks for sharing your perspective with us.
I love your style❤️❤️❤️
Great ideas. as a seasoned thrifter, I also carry a measuring tape and check larger sizes. For one things some things end up in the thrift store is because the sizing is wierd. Like you, i have begin to only look for certain colors, mostly sage greens, greys, and lighter indigo. I don't skip every poly fiber because i spend a lot of time in the woods and lots of ourdoor gear is poly to avoid rips and tears out in the forest.
Poly fibers can be great for functional clothes and sport, I agree!
I live in Northern New England, I love dresses, Crocs and a sweater out the door I go
I love how you combine colors and fabrics! 👍🏼
Thank you ❤️🤗
Love your style! Everything looks very comfortable which I also prefer on myself.
Your wardrobe is lovely, and your style is so original. Your creativity shows in the way you combine your looks. I really enjoyed this video! Thank you.
Aww, thank you for yoour sweet words ❤️ I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Ana, your wardrobe is absolutely beautiful, you have such a great sense of style and you look beautiful in all of your clothes. Thank you for sharing your beautiful outfits.
Summer is the most difficult time of year for me too, due to the heat! And I second ALL of your clothing preferences for type of fabric, larger sizes, dresses, loose pants, long sleeve button down shirts, etc. The only real difference between your and my summer wardrobe is some of the colors - I don't wear violets or reds (and I don't have any yellow at the moment) - but I did recently acquire a man's button-down shirt in a light lime green and linen/cotton blend that I am absolutely in love with!!!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful, airy, CUTE summer clothing, and the crocheted top is adorable!!!
Thank you for sharing your summer wardrobe likes! I love the description of your new shirt, that color must look amazing 😍
What a creative wardrobe❤👋🇩🇰
Thank you, Anna Marie 🌸
Loved the gray underskirt with the blue shirt but a belt synched at the waist over the closed shirt would look wonderful on you!
Thank you for the suggestion, Sandra! I will definitely try it with the belt ❤️
I'm so with you, summer is my least favourite season, I can't stand the heat, I can't breathe nor sleep. I also don't like showing skin. I really like your style, it's so you and you look great👍. I too prefer a bit more the loose fitting as it feels lighter on the skin. You mentioned you are tall, may I ask how tall ? I'm not tall at all and sometimes I need to cut trousers though I found good 7/8 length and I too can't wear all shoes, comfort is important. Great vlog Ana, take care 🙂
Thank you for your kind support, dear Anita ❤️I'm 176 cm which is about 5.8 feet. It's not the tallest height for sure but as I love longer garments, it can be problem 😅
@@anagoldberg this is a nice height Ana 👍🥰
As long as your feet reach the ground it’s a good height. 😘
@@ajt0319 😉
You have such a beautiful sense of style that suits you to a tee!
Thank you, Marilyn ❤️
I really like your unique style! Wonderful that you've been able to thrift so many quality pieces. I enjoyed the video! 😊
Aww, I'm so glad you liked it, my friend 🤗
Great video Ana
Thanks Liam!
Very nice Ana. Dresses look like nice & breezey for summer. I like the lobg coat and great work on sewing red shirt. A sewing, hemming vid and or tips id find very informative. Thanks for sharing & all ❤❤
THANK YOU🙏💛ANA
Hello Ana! I just discovered your channel. I don’t like ironing either and I have several handmade linen items in my wardrobe. I have found that after each wearing, I spritz my clothing on a hanger with plain water. As it dries, the fabric returns to very wearable soft condition. Hope that helps
I really like the way you put your layers together.
I need to teach myself to sew...but i already have so many hobbies 😫
Hello Ana, thank you for your video! I really enjoyed it and I really like your style, however mine is totally different 😉 I like bright colors, I wear a lot of white and I don't like the feeling of layers on me. I've noticed that during summer my skin looks much healthier when the sun burns out all blotches. That's why I prefer short and uncovering clothes. But I work in air-conditioned office so usually I freeze in the office and then melt outside 😅
Almost all my wardrobe now are second-hand items and a few pieces I bought years ago. The quality of clothes has so dramatically declined so it's really waste of money to buy new things in order to throw them out just after one washing. I also completely eliminated artificial fabrics as I get to know that washing them is major source of microplastic pollution of water.
Love the cardigan you crocheted! So enjoy your videos.
Thank you, Leane ❤️
Over the last couple of years I have converted my wardrobe to linens and silk… mostly thrifted! Love finding oversized men’s button up silk shirts to throw over a tank top. Covered up but soooo cool 😀. Love your style and the way you layer.
Hi Susan❤️ Men's button ups are the best, I agree! 😊
Love the t-shirts and yellow purse:)
I too love silk, but I have only one silk item, an oversize blouse in purple that my mother gave me perhaps 30 years ago! I have periods when I don't wear it, but I love it so much that I have never let it go.
Wow, this does prove the durability of silk!
Your wardrobe is beautifully curated, I can see why you are so happy with it. I love the uniqlo dress especially with the v-neck.
Thank you, Kathryn ❤️
I either love thrifting. What about capri-length leggings, thin longsleeves and empire dresses you wear over the shirt? Perfect cover!
All in Cotton and linen. Essentials: straw hat, sunglasses and a simple fan; and a pressing iron. Hugs, Ana in Germany ♥
I love your wardrobe on you. You look so unique and cool. ❤ I live in Eastern North Carolina in the U.S. and it gets really hot here in the summer too. I prefer winter for the same reason as you. I don’t like showing lots of skin. I wear dresses, shorts, and t-shirts all summer with flip flops and as I’m very blonde it’s mostly light colors. I’m way shorter than you so I have the opposite problem with the length of clothes. I have learned to sew a bit so I can make alterations on some things.
💙Ana…you are a delightful beauty and you have given us the most inspiring ideas and images. This is truly transformative. Thank you for sharing your fashion perspective…💫💙
I am 47 and I’ve been dying my gray hair since about 21 years old. I am now letting my gray hair grow out and now I need to change out many pieces in my wardrobe because a lot of warm browns look terrible with gray hair! I’m going to try to thift some good clothes this week ❤
I just forund you and I think you are adorable. I am an avid thrifter and so agree with buying quality at the fraction of the cost. Love your videos!😊I love the crochet sweater you made .Beautiful!
that yellow bag is amazing great find
❤ this vodeo. I can recommend Merino for summer, it regulates temperature and keeps you cool. Also, I live in Australia and we have very hot summers here - I would suugest a light coloured hat - the black will keep your head hot.😊
I've been wanting to try merino for summer for a while now, so will look for it in thrift stores or will knit something. And yeah, a black hat is not the best choice for the hot sun 😅
LOVE!! So empowering and supportive for me as a person who tries to build step by step a more high-quality-wardrobe being an "old-on-the-streets-collector". In Berlin clothing is easy to find in for free boxes, but I start to be more picky with materials. That brings a lot of challenges. :) I totally love your style.
Your aesthetic is so cozy ❤
Thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your summer wardrobe Ana, and your thoughts behind your choices!
Thrifting is absolutely fun aswell as it’s sustainable! I hate the idea of expensive shopping just because of coming and going trends! With thrifting you find things that define your personal style.
Lots of Love ❤️ ❤
Thank you, Anne ❤️I agree so much with what you've said, especially about trends! Sending love 🤗
Trifting is treasure hunt!
Thoroughly enjoyed the fashion vlog. I too try to dress in natural fabrics and we had a similar style. I am 185cm tall so I find buying second hand difficult. I therefore tend to buy bigger and alter to fit my frame. Layering is good too. It puts the necessary inches on an outfit.
Although I'm 10 cm shorter than you, I totally get what you mean!
You look lovely in your thrifted finds (how lucky you are to find such treasures!), and have such great style. Your creative spirit shows in your wardrobe and styling. I love natural fibers too - linen, light cottons, and merino wool are my favorites. Merino wool is a miracle fabric. I have a dress that I've worn to do yard work - when it's 90 F (32+ C), and it's still not hot. It keeps you cool when it's hot, and warm when it's cold. 😊
Thank you for sharing your favorite fabrics. I’ve stuck with cotton for so long because it is soft and doesn’t irritate my skin like cotton-polyester blends. But I’m always so confused about what other fabrics to try. I will look out for tencel/lyocell.
Also, I love the raspberry color of that tshirt you made! I’m not usually drawn to bright colors, but that color popped and is such a happy fun color!
Hi Ryan! I think you'll like the feel of lyocell on the skin, it's quite soft and smooth at once.
Birkenstocks don’t work for everyone. I have the same issue about them in addition to constant blisters in the arch of my foot. I do enjoy other brands variation of them such as Land’s End. Very comfortable.
I enjoy wearing scarves too. I’ve managed to thrift several beautiful silk scarves and they keep me cool but also protected. In the last few years in my area, finding silk items and linen has increased which I am enjoying very much. Silk button downs are lovely and versatile, and it’s amazing the quality you can find. My favorite way to care for both silk and linen between wears is to cold wet them and allow to drop dry in the shower. The fabric dries quickly, especially hung outside under the table umbrella, and no wrinkles! No need to steam.
I also don’t like changing rooms for hygiene standards. I have a tape measure hidden in my purse to take measurements of a garment. I often take my measurements as weight fluctuates and measure items I already have that I like the fit of, especially pants. Then compare!
Love this video, very inspiring. For me, it's so impressive that you can mix and match so many different colours and shapes! Love your yellow bag
Ana, I love the petticoat look of the skirt layered under the dress. I envy people who wear dresses and skirts in the summer, they look so breezy. If you get tired of the light yellow linen top, I think it would look great dyed a similar goldenrod color as your leather bag. You have such great style! Very cohesive and aesthetically soothing to my eyes. I recently achieved a life long style goal, which is a real leather jacket. I've been hoping to find a second hand one for so many years, but I finally gave in and bought a new one. I hope it will last me the rest of my life.
Yes. I agree that she could dye it and lots of natural dyes would achieve that color.
Thank you for the coloring advice! The light yellow shade is perfect for experimenting 😊 And congrats on the new leather jacket! Finding certain things secondhand can be tough, so buying new is totally reasonable 🌸
Hi Ana I just heard the news about Tiblisi. Hope you and your husband are safe and well. Sending hugs 🤗
I love you explain about the fabrics🌸❤
Have always admired your style🩵
I wear shorts, to my knees all
Year, I dislike anything on my legs. 100% cotton a must, we all have our feel for different fabrics.
Love your clothing finds. Us thrifty friends need to stick together! Paying full price is not in my vocabulary for most garments. Even if I was wealthy … nope! 🇨🇦🙌🏾
Yep, feeling the same here - if I can thrift, I don't want to buy new🤗
We’re sisters in style and also live in Georgia, a very hot southern state in the US. I love thrifting.
What a lovely artistic-bohemian style you have 🥰 Looking forward to the What's in my bag - 2024 video!😄
Thanks, dear Saga ❤️
This is the first time I have watched you and I really enjoyed it. I love your style and feel I have found a kindred spirit so thank you and I will look forward to seeing more 🙂all the best.
I love your unique style and personality! Refreshing.🐇🩷
Thank you ❤️
You have a lovely wardrobe. Thank you for sharing.
I love your wardrobe !!! ..that is a great video again...🤩🤩All the best to you and Brian.
I am happy you thrift 🎉
Thank you Ana, so interesting.
Love all of those dresses on you, you wear them well
Thank you, Wendy ❤️
I like your style. I too enjoy thrifting most all my clothes. I’m amazed at the quality I find.
I would love to see your embroidery 🤗
Thank you, Vee ❤️Indeed, thrifting is such an exciting way to build a wardrobe!
Thanks!
Thank you for your kindest, Judith ❤️
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Just found you today.
You have amazing style!
I’m a bit too short and chubby to wear long and flowing, but I do it anyway! Lol! 🤓
I love your style. ❤
Thank you, Petra ❤️
Hi Ana! Your summer wardrobe is lovely! I am also drawn to red, blue and lavender colors. I usually do black or navy bottoms and black shoes. My summer wardrobe is small so I dress it up with jewelry. Wonderful video! Have a great week!
Hi Marcia! Thank you, you too have a lovely week ahead 🌸
I've always thought of yellow as a happy color, so maybe your recent purchases are a reflection of your current happiness 😊
This makes sense 😊
Unfortunately in Australia the thrift shops are very expensive.
Love your clothes, so lovely. I am like you, summer is not my favorite season.
Thank you, dear Marianne ❤️
Loved your outfits ❤ I agree the hot weather is so uncomfortable 😣 I too like larger size clothing. Have a lovely week ahead dearest Ana lol from 🇮🇱 ❤
Thank you, dear Sharon ❤️ You too, have a beautiful week!
very cute! :)
Love that grey dress. Is it from Linen Tales by any chance? Ah spotted. Its Linen Fox.
You look lovely in all of your clothes. They just go so well together xx
Yes, Lilian, it's LinenFox and I can 100% recommend their clothes and service. Thank you for being so sweet ❤️
❤❤❤❤
I agree with you about Birkenstocks- so many people recommend them as the comfiest summer shoe but with my feet/ joint problems they are too stiff in the sole with not enough support on the upper, I've discovered i need a thick but flexible sole, and ankle support- i love dr martens sandals- but the lighter ones, the heavy sole ones are too much for me unfortunately even thoug h they're pretty. Thank you for your videos, it really makes me feel good about what i have instead of most people sharing their 'hauls'and constant advertising leaving me feeling inferior. I wonder if they have the vinted app where you are? It's like thrift shopping but on an app, most of my clothing and shoes are from there now- i love it
Ha, I just bought Teva sandals..I have Birkenstock as well, but I think I bought a size too small, and it touches the top of my toes and it annoys me ( largest woman size , so cannot go up in this style 😢) .
💓💓💓
I love the way your clothes look. However, I disagree about cotton. I never wear anything except cotton and linen in the summer, and good cotton just gets better with age. I am wearing a 100 percent cotton cardigan right now (over a cotton gauze top - because of the a/c in here), and it's still lovely although I've had it for twenty years and wear and wash it a lot.
❤
Dear Ana! Thank you for inspiring video! Can you, please, repeat what is the name of Lithuanian linen brand?
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video ❤️ The brand is called Linenfox. They have both Etsy and a website, I bought my dress from the website, smoothly.
@@anagoldberg Thank you! They have beautiful clothes indeed!
Très joli t'es tenu. Ton bleu et ton rose. On aimerai la traduction en langue frenchies. Je like. A plus.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're so beautiful Ana😊. How tall are you? You've mentioned being tall before, I think with pant lengths, yet I don't know your height.
Thank you for being so sweet, Sandra ❤️ I'm 176 cm or about 5.8 ft.
@@anagoldberg oh wow. How lovely that you are so tall, you have many options when it comes to design. Love your videos.
What is the name of Lithuanian brand?
It's Linen Fox
République of Georgia????
Yes, also known as Sakartvelo 😊
Merci !
Thank you for this kind support❤️
I love winter mostly because I don't have to wear a bra.....seriously! In hot weather I wear T shirts and shorts WITH a bra.....ugh!
Why don't you skip a bra in the summer too?
Haha, I hate bras too 😅
@@anagoldberg 🤣
Some people should not give wardrobe advice
Thanks!
Thank you, dear Susan ❤️
@@anagoldberg You are so very welcome!!
