Sorry folks, but I have nothing but GOOD to say about Lone Mountain!:
    1. I leased a 2017 Freightliner Cascadia Evolution with 287 miles in 2017.
    2. Steve walked me through the Lease item for item. It took about an hour or so.
    3. They did absolutely everything that they promised to do.
    4. If you go over a certain mileage you pay for the extra miles, but they credit it to your final payment. My final payment was $ 367.00.
    5. After the last payment it took about 2 weeks or so to get the title in my name.
If I wasn't ready to retire I'd get a new Kenworth from them!!

Loved my experience with L.M., but I did my due diligence. They allow you to take it to your own shop for inspection, and I absolutely took advantage of that. Shop found a couple things wrong, and L.M. took care of them *immediately*. Used Cascadia, 435k on the clock at the time. Would have ZERO issue buying from L.M. again, in a *heartbeat*.

@@cirjeex6412 I got my tractor (14 Cascadia, 13spd, dd15, with 498k) from the Ft Worth location, and drove it down to the Lonestar Freightliner dealership in Waco; my choice, I could have taken it to any shop I chose. They did an inspection, which was all good. I also had them dyno it, and it failed to complete dyno due to overheating; they identified an internal crack in the coolant reservoir. Took it back to LM, they replaced the coolant reservoir with a brand new one on the spot, and also reclocked my steering wheel at my request. Picked up my first load the next day, and never had a lick of trouble for the next 2 years I owned it.

Just Bought my truck and i'm not very mechanically inclined other than doing the standard "Pre-Trip". Once at the dealer i did that plus called a local mechanic to do a buyer inspection for $400. The mechanic came on site did a full walkthrough, crawled underneath the truck and even ran the regen to made sure it work plus checked for codes. Truck was clean and looked good to me but wasn't the case, still needed some "PM" and general maintenance on a truck with 500,000+ miles.
If you don't know jack shit about semi's do youself a favor and get a outside mechanic on Site! Don't trust the dealer! That 400$ is nothing when your buying a $30-$50k piece of equipment.

I have had my truck for eleven weeks and three days. I've spent $25,000 in repairs to keep this truck legal, much less reliable. I still have another $1,000~$2,000 to spend in the next two weeks for shock replacement. They wash the truck and I suspect use shitty paint to cover up all the defects.
LM tells you that you can put a truck on a dyno, but there is not a working dyno at the GA or TX location.
LM tells you that the truck is a "Martin" truck and the maintenance has been reliable. My mechanic who had to perform a top enginer rebuild, replace the shattered clutch, rebuild the fifth wheel told me that all the problems are due to "lack of maintenance".

Always easy to blame the consumer. Any obligation for the seller to inspect the truck and make any necessary repairs before listing the vehicle for sale? Of course not. If someone is foolish enough to buy it like that then that's their problem? That's how these companies get rich because we defend their unethical behavior.

A new truck can break down, and frequently do. So, the manufacturer and dealer should fix it, as long as it is still under warranty, for no cost. But here is the thing, a new truck being down can still be really bad, because of the opportunity costs, and fixed costs. Meaning, of course when its in the shop, its not making money. But, you got that new truck payment that still has to be made, and insurance etc., all of the things you pay no matter what. So, even though its fixed 'for free', its still gonna cost you money.

I saw the shifter steering wheel and the shades. I slowed down in navasota so you could pass so I could get a better look. Be safe

My Cascadia has been running really well when i got it in April 2021. I inspected everything and my truck was well maintained plus it was from Crete Carrier (still has the stickers).
Ive witnessed 2 other drivers and all they did was walk around and peeked inside the cab. They looked at me like Im crazy by looking under the hood.

Hey they're lot people like that, me I would be so Paranoid, I'd look at everything I possibly could. Maybe even pay the $400 or $500 to have a mechanic inspect it. I wonder how well those other guys trucks are doing today?

@@thomaskirkpatrick4031 the problem nowadays is when someone wants to be an owner operator they just look at the truck and take off without knowing what to check. There are so many owner operators that does not have the knowledge to fix nor inspect a truck

I just finished paying off my 2nd truck with Lone Mountain. My 1st one, 2012 Volvo 720, cost me roughly $24K in repairs each of the last two years. It wasn’t LM’s fault, breakdowns happen. My 2nd truck, 2017 W9, has done great these past 56 months, except for $28K in repairs over past two months (rear main seal, all new injectors, etc etc etc). Again, not LM’s fault. Everything he’s talking about regarding operating account and taxes set aside, paid quarterly, is SPOT ON. Don’t neglect saving for repairs and maintenance and taxes. $28K about killed me, but I made it happen. You can too if you run hard, run smart, and manage your finances from Day One to retirement.
