I don't agree that you should stop reading Jordan B. Peterson, the amount of people he has helped, and still is, is astounding. All I would say is its worth reading other things as well.
Telling him to replace Jordan Peterson is bad advice. Telling him to come back to JP when he is better able to handle it is better advice.

To the Pirate King. Do NOT move to Los Angeles. Please. I listened to your whole story and my jaw dropped when you mentioned that. I live in CA and avoid LA and SF like the plague. The people i know who are orbiting around the movie industry there are miserable. The city is filthy. Its absolutely overrun with homeless and drug addicts. Plus hollywood is undeniably dying. Many creatives have already moved out of the city there, and other cities are seeing a boom (like Atlanta).
For the first part, the disapproving family is relatable. And for the second part i was thinking "no dude, you deserve way better then your ex who says that she deserves better"
Relationship was great untill the last 3 years. Bro thats almost half of it. That relationship sucked.
No job I ever got was good enough for my dad. He'd always direct me toward something that pays more but is completely outside the scope of my interest/capability and when I told him I wanted to write fantasy books he humored me for about 10 minutes before telling me "Just get a real job."
