- This is a new video for replacing a glass unit, it’s similar to my first video but this has a voice over giving you tutorial on how to complete this job.
Hope this video has helped please subscribe for more.
All videos should be like this. Straight to the point simple and standard. Good man
Straightforward demo, that's all that is required. Perfect.
Have never see any video straight forward and simple as this, 10/10 man
I’m actually so grateful god bless. I was worried what to do. I took out the frame from inside the house. Raised the window and got rid of the gap and put the frame back in place. Saved my self money and worry. Thank you
nice job. No nonsensical intro and "youtubery" involved. Good work.
‘CZcamsry’ = Genius!
Superb mate. Never done it before. Got quoted £140 to replace and fit. Done it for £40. Thank you
Just as it should be, well demonstrated and clearly explained .
Great, I tried for 20 minutes to get that beading off, now I know its possible. Many thanks for your knowledge and skill. God bless you.
Thank you, you gave me the confidence to do it myself, and now my windows look new again.
Thanks very much Shane. I could not get the new unit in, but learning from you how to clip in the top and bottom beads first solved the problem.
Having just broken a (thankfully) small double glazed window with a small small stone that got flung across my garden while strimming, I'm relieved to find its easier replacing a double glazed window than a older single glazed one and there not to difficult. Thanks.
Absolute hero... Saves me spending thousands on new windows!
Yep, no waffle, straight to it, a refreshing change 👍🏻
Thanks for the vid, and a great money saver too with your help I'm part way through a job that used to be a mystery. That moon knife is a big help too
Great video. It guided me to do the job successfully. Much appreciated mate!
Shane keep up the good work, straight to the point video, brilliant
First video i've watched on the subject...........don't need to watch any others, thank you.
You do. The guy doesn't show you how to heel toe a window properly. He only had to packers at the bottom because that window had no handle. Beware of that
Very clear, to the point and most helpful. Thanks
Perfect demonstration, great video, thanks for sharing 👍🏿
Nice video. Straight to the point and I also know which tools I need to buy! Much appreciated! :)
I found putting the trims back really tough. I found hammering them did no good at all. I spent a good hour trying to hammer them in, instead I had to push them in using a massive force. It was satisfying to hear that plastic against plastic noise as they squashed in.
AWESOME!... just what I wanted to know before attempting myself. Yhe last time I had a vinyl window repair done it cost me about $100.00 bucks.
This video was an absolute life saver. Thanks.
Thank u for this video. I have been trying to replace a broken window pane and no one knew how or wanted try to open the casement.
Great video easy to follow.....made changing my kitchen window easy.....thank you
These videos are very helpful and I looked for this video and particular because I need to replace the glass as it has shattered on my conservatory, what I am finding hard as finding somewhere that actually sells the glass
K seal if ur in northern England, they custom make units of any size for very reasonable prices, 25 quid for a 100cm x 45 cm unit, they deliver for 10 pounds also
Excellent video. What were the three tools needed?
Very clear and clean, no need for putty then!!
Thank you for this video, mate 🙏🏻
where do you get those special tools for window repair? thanks
Thanks Shane, where is a good place to buy the actual glass if anyone has any good sites for London based shops would appreciate it. Also do they all come in set sizes in general ?
As soon as I heard this gentleman I thought thank goodness, this sounds straight to the point and no messing around unlike all that American accent rubbish that drives me mad with all the chat and getting no where.
Grand now i know how to quickly and cleanly get into my neighbours house, take a shit on his floor, then replace window and stand outside my house when he gets home, see his reaction. Thank you
Very helpful to me. Thanks mate.
Nice one, cheers Shane 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
I agree with the comments below, what a nice straight forward video. Great guy!!
That's how you make an instructional video. Proper.
This video has given me the confidence to try, thank you soo much !!!!!
Thanks for the tips!
Very helpful, top job!
Thanks for putting this up.
Is there anywhere you can buy replacement window beads the ones that hold the window in place?
Great video! Can I ask do you always put the furniture stamp at the top left instead of the bottom corner?
Great vid - no stupid music or lengthy intros
Excellent video, thanks
Hello, nice video btw. I have UPVC windows that have a rubber seal in front of the glass (between glass and frame on the inside) and it doesn't look like there is any removable mitered frame (as you are demonstrating). Do you know how the glass is removed? I assume the rubber needs removing first but, I'd like some one with experience to advise. Thank you.
You did it the way I've always done it, but when I went and picked up a second hand window for my shed from a window fitter he removed the rubber seal at the front so there was no pressure and the other bits came straight, thing is I didn't see how he removed them and didn't ask before I left, so my question is how do they go back in?
Very helpful thank you!
great instruction i have one to change and having watched your video shane i will do it myself thanks.
Was it a success?
Does it work the same with a wooden frame? Do you have the spacers underneath too? And the sealing rubbers on the edge to keep the water out? I need to replace a kitchen door with a window.
Cheers pal just saved me a few quid 👍
Brilliant video. Followed it step by step.thanks very much
Thank you for sharing your skill
No messing about...Great video - thanks 😊
Amazing video. veey easy to follow. Thank u
Very informative, excellent.
Can you please give links to the tools in the description? Thank you so much for this video
Great video....thanks mate.
Brilliant 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for the eazy explanation it realy saved me today
Thanks Brilliant video. I used a hose on my window(I know stupid) which has blown the spacers between the frames. Can they be replaced?
Great job LOVED ITTTT!!!
Fair play, straight forward instruction.
Great video very useful! Would you recommend this process for cleaning a blown window??
I personally would put a new sealed unit in
Good video, and handy tip regarding not sliding the nylon hammer across the glass when tapping the beading back in. Cheers.
That was real quick. In a heartbeat !!
Makes it look easy, been fanning around with mine cos i just dived in then I thought - ‘Oh better look it up’!
That was brilliant thanks as I need to remove one 👍
very helpful video, thanks for showing us how to make it :)
Thanks, yes that was helpful!
If you have a draft coming in through the bedroom windows does the glass need to be replace or the whole unit?
very helpful, ….job done.
Thank you for this vid!!!
Thank you very much for your help ✌️✌️✌️
Great tutorial, and all my question answered in comment section.
Many thanks mate (and chaps with pointers/advises below)...

Ps.: my advise: never clean glass with scrub sponge.👎...(and you got the idea why i'm here lol)...
lovely no music no bullsh.. video thanks mate
Thanks didn't realise the packers were for drainage
Straight to the point. Jobs a good'un.
Great stuff mate, cheers
Very helpfull many thanks
Hello pal mines not hard plastic like yours mines block soft rubber is it the Same concept and can I put hard plastic back in after?
Thanks
I took the 4 beading trims off but the glazed unit is stuck fast to the tape.
Thanks, very helpful.
I have double glazed windows and im hearing all traffic noise in my bedroom , what i have to do for my windows, do you think I have to change to triple glazed or any ideas getting less hearing noise ? Many thanks
A new window wth triple would certainly be better but if check all the rubbers and sealant and the window is closing properly if so then triple glazing would be the way forward but if your window is in good working order you could just change the glass to triple glazing
Shane Atkinson thanks for reply
Excellent tutorial. That's a "moon knife" at the start if you couldn't hear. The sound went a bit funny
can you tell me a website in the UK where I can buy a separate glass insert, please?
Got a question my friend.I have calipered the unit thickness and I'm getting 26.7mm.Would you recommend getting a 26mm or a 28mm replacement? Thanks.
Go to sealedunitsonline mate. They have live chat and will help. I've replaced glass with them and you get a great price too

Many thanks Shane.👍
Komolor bhai Soitendro Ingti Jim👍🏻
Are the packers only at the bottom? How do you measure the window replacement?
They is another video on my channel showing this, I hope this helps
Thanks very much!!!
Very helpful - 👍👍👍
Awesome vid can this be done from the outside
Its done from the side the beads are, can be internal or external, internal is safest for security.
Great! Thank You so much
