Ah .... the team was on the way down by then but I still miss them! Giancarlo’s lucky win in Brazil that season was its last hurrah! They would have been brilliant on Netflix!
F1 needs an Eddie Jordan now more than ever. Bernie sold out and it was time for him to move on but a hand to mouth maverick who got within a couple of podium finishes of taking the constructors championship as a independant owner is needed to balanace things with the the heavyweights. Something authentic added to the sport now owned by a huge hedge fund!
All anyone needs to know about Eddie Jordon is that long after he’s been out of the sport of F1 is that they still talk about him and mostly in a very positive manner
really miss this team, I mean eddie is a bit annoying but his team was fun, bright and surprisingly good back in 1998. F1 teams are all trying to have that NASA/McLaren esq science and calculators and windtunnels feel. Jordan GP, rightly or wrongly, looked like they remembered racing is fun and they were there for a laugh.
Seeing what became of Eddie Jordan once he arrived in F1, I mean in the day-to-day aspect of running his team, I wonder how anyone can think he was still enjoying himself like during his F3 years. You can see that he spent most of his time in F1, managing the commercial and administrative side of his business, spending very little time on the track, delegating the most exciting part of his job to his employees, all at the expense of real racing and his family life. In my humble opinion, many people are blinded by ambition and the quest for the top, that they tend to forget that joy and pleasure are in the simplest things. If you ask all the people out there what were the best years of their respective careers, from the drivers to the team managers to most engineers and mechanics, they'll all tell you that their best time were the lower formula years.
Many thanks for this upload. I saw this a good few years ago and it was only 30 mins and have tried to find it since. Never knew I'd only ever seen an edited version!
Great interview, when asked why no females in facility, Eddie says I would prefer to have females because they are cheap, reliable and good looking! He would get consumed by the me too movement! Love him, Eddie knows F1 inside out
Being Irish myself and proud of what Jordan achieved over the years, I find this docu very telling. Compare it to other docu's such as Williams, Mclaren or Ferrari and it falls down in the professional presentation stakes. Eddie mainly discusses money, how much its costs, not having enough and who to extract it from. Such things are never discussed by the other teams.
I remember that great race in Brazil the rain, that was originally awarded to Kimi in the confusion of race ending shunts by Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso, but was later awarded to Fisi. Was this filmed at the beginning of that 2003 season?
f1 has not been the same since Eddie and his yellow /green boys and girls left town, I was lucky enough to sneak/steel/crash in to a few of Eddies parties, dragging members of my family and friends behind, for my sins I never regretted those for a moment
Eddie just looking at the pictures at the beginning with the papers. Watching him go nuts down the pit lane at spa I’ll never forget just brilliant and how f1 is not going but in the wrong direction with it only being for big corporations big money how it needs an Eddie Ken Colin and Paul right now.
HairyArmpitLover Natural Beauty If I remember correctly there was some sort of disagreement but I can’t be certain. Which is strange considering the team was Irish registered with the FIA.
It makes you wonder if Eddie spent more time and effort on his team rather than his then lavish lifestyle if Jordan could still exist as a team today...
If you want to have a go at Eddie, look at his skills at securing contracts. He lost Schuey after one race weekend because the agreement they had didn't tie him down properly. Later, Eddie pretty much sunk the team by going after Vodafone in court when he thought he had them committed to sponsoring the team, but the judge found that he hadn't and made Jordan pay Vodafone's costs.
How I miss my days working at Jordan Grand Prix, simply the best years of my life, great people, great team, great boss xx
( Let's say you're not trolling...u know, internet:P) When did you work for Jordan?:D
Hello. My team. Wish in some way Eduardo could reform it
Why did u leave?
The best 4 and a half years of my working life was with this team at Silverstone. And I was there for the best years '97 to 2002.
Eddie is so personal you could never imagine another Team owner or Boss being so open like Eddie. He was the last of a true team owners.
The other probably will be Peter Sauber
Frank Williams?
Eddie....one of the greatest characters ever to grace F1
Ah .... the team was on the way down by then but I still miss them! Giancarlo’s lucky win in Brazil that season was its last hurrah!

Great footage, really liked the good old days when the yellow B&H cars challenging the top boys! Jordan was the Rock & Roll team in F1.

They were even better in 1999 finishing, 3rd in both titles and winning 2 races and scoring a pole position.

And next on BBC 3, 45 minutes of a grey screen, you don't want to miss it.
Adrian Chiles reminds me of that bloke in the pub who can empty the beer garden by entering it.
He's a clueless, annoying prick 🙄😆
Many thanks for this upload. I saw this a good few years ago and it was only 30 mins and have tried to find it since. Never knew I'd only ever seen an edited version!
God I wish there was another Irish team and more Irish drivers
Such a brilliant video!!
Great interview, when asked why no females in facility, Eddie says I would prefer to have females because they are cheap, reliable and good looking! He would get consumed by the me too movement! Love him, Eddie knows F1 inside out
I think he's a good man, honest. not a P.C. fake. Feminism could do with more honest men, even if they're not always 100% P.C...
Nice to see the Irish tricolour flying at HQ! Good man Eddie
My favorite F1 engine sound delivered Jordan with Peugeot engine. I used to call it a buzzer.
Brilliant ! Eddie is the king of the deal !
If FIS is driving for Jordan this can’t be 2004 must be 2002-2003
"He was a complete lunatic" .....lol says Eddie .
Ron Dennis is the master. 👌🏼I'm the poor relation. 😂😂
IRELANDS loves ya ED
man eddie jordan must of been one of the best people to work for
Jordan was always my second team.
Being Irish myself and proud of what Jordan achieved over the years, I find this docu very telling.

yes , because Eddy didn't have a big manufacture behind him
I think this is from 2003. I know say this because Fisichella was with Sauber in 2004
no its 2004 cause that year they had ford (Cosworth) engines. in 2003 they were with honda. Fisi must have left right before the season started
DJ Sega it’s definitely 2003. Honda pulled out after 2002
@@djsega4289 Wrong! they had Ford engines from 2003 BAR had exclusive Honda supply from 2003 onwards.
It's 2003.
Fisico turned 30 in January
'03 and they're celebrating his 30th in this video.
He's now 51 as of January 2024.
I remember that great race in Brazil the rain, that was originally awarded to Kimi in the confusion of race ending shunts by Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso, but was later awarded to Fisi. Was this filmed at the beginning of that 2003 season?
Think so,..Fisi was at Sauber in 2004.
kwgm yes it was
Yeah, before that madness happened
f1 has not been the same since Eddie and his yellow /green boys and girls left town, I was lucky enough to sneak/steel/crash in to a few of Eddies parties, dragging members of my family and friends behind, for my sins I never regretted those for a moment
This is actually from 2003.
They're covering the lead up to the 2003 season, but the production date of the docu is 2004.
Yes I figured that when he said you finished 6th last season meaning 2002 Jordan's last decent finish.
Great days
Thanks for uploading
So they never got Irvine, they got Firman Jnr
Unfortunaetly they had a shit year...
Tony Sweeney did win a gp though.
Eddie Jordan "F1 Woody Allen"😁 What a great guy.
Eddie's press officer is hot!!
Maybe she's dead like the team?! :-0
Eddie just looking at the pictures at the beginning with the papers. EJ handled Adrian Chiles lame attempts and Irish jokes and Paddywhackery well throughout.
Yes. Becos his son's upgraded best friend was larrousseUK till' euro 2000 began. 🎉🎉🎉
Hehe, Eddie gags when she says Ferrari. Nice
Interesting that Jordan uses Mercedes trucks and not Fords. I wonder if that played any part in the partnership falling apart 🤔😆
I used to see him shopping in nutgrove when it opened first he always had a baby in the buggy it was the first child
Yes. Also yur next door house was edmund matthew III. 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
Adrian Chiles - the archetypal Nice Guy - Everyman type . The personification of reliable blandness.
Why get a man who knows nothing about motorsport to present a show about motorsport?
Am i the first to notice you've made a mistake on Eddie's last name?
Eddie seems like a nice fair guy ,just as he is now as a pundit
Adrian Chiles is even worse than Suzi Perry.
👍✨💖👌
Who's Eddie Jodan? #Jordan
I forgot fisichella drove for jordan
Yeah, and Fisico has shown what he is able to do, even in a not competitive jordan he won a grand prix. A pity, that Jordan didn't survive.
Jordan is called Forza India now.
Force India, rather.
correct ! I forgot this....
He even won a GP for Jordan in Brazil 2003
If it was a way to get interest....forget it.
How did he get ninety million?
Not 2004 But 2003 season Giancarlo Fisichella was a driver in 2003
Jordan Racing : They reason for existing was to keep people smoking cigarettes.
You have no reason for existing.
Zoomer30 stupid
Fuck up you snowflake
Why Irish flag was never placed above Jordan pit garage during French GP ? Every time British flag was placed. Very odd
HairyArmpitLover Natural Beauty If I remember correctly there was some sort of disagreement but I can’t be certain. Which is strange considering the team was Irish registered with the FIA.
Again what's your point
Brilliant. Interview someone while they are chewing food.
😂😂 EJ still the man, 14. 1. 2024..
@18:16 is Eddie making a reference to weed?
The new dj broKlee q
Either weed or cocaine but he was talking about his health so probably weed otherwise he'd be pan bread by now.
guuuys he is Irish
probably cocaine
Eddie Jordan is a truly inspirational character. I mean, if someone as unprofessional and silly like him can get all that money then surely anyone can
Louis Walsh best F1 owner ever❤️

Eddie got a bighead and let it take over his brain. That Vodafone case was the end of it. Pity because he was a breath of fresh air at the start..
how to win even 3 racees with this little owner engineering knowledge? PS first chatty note made on FIzzy by Eddie is that he's a Roma supporter.
Eddie lives in a godawful house.
He’s worth £90m in 2004? No wonder his team was shit.
