  • Hi and welcome to my channel, in today’s video I decided to use my paper piercing on my scan n cut SDX2200D. Unfortunately I have a problem, if you can help I'd appreciate a message in the comments.

    Hi, someone on another Facebook group shared your video with me as I’ve used the paper piercing kit since it came out several years ago - the answer to your question as to why the preset design can’t be resized is that it has already been converted to shapes - irs a little bit like the text function, one that has been saved a .fcm so the file has been converted to shapes, the text box can’t be edited.
    So the designs that Brother give you can only use used at the size they were originally designed at -
    However - if you find another swirl that is a cut file, then arrange them into a square, then set the line to pierce and set your dot distance etc.

      Thanks Nikki, I did wonder if it was a actual dotting space measurement, although if you can manipulate other shapes that aren’t preset to different sizes what’s the difference? Thanks for your comment it is really appreciated xx

      @@beajackson it’s not that it’s a dot spacing measurement issue - it’s because the preset designs have already been converted to .fcm files - the .fcm paper piercing files can’t be altered. Xxx
