Classic Broccoli Salad Recipe - A Summertime Favorite!

- A classic summertime salad that's perfect to make ahead and everyone absolutely loves!! One of our tried and true that we add to any bbq table!

BROCCOLI SALAD RECIPE:
For the Dressing:
1 cup of Mayo
1 Tbsp of Dijon Mustard
2 Tbsp of Olive Oil
1/2 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (or 1/4 cup of you don’t like it tangy)
1/4 cup of Granulated Sugar (or 1/3 cup of you want it sweeter)
2 tsp of Granulated Onion
2 tsp of Granulated Garlic
Pinch of Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp of Poppyseeds
For the Salad:
12 oz of Broccoli Florets, cut into small little pieces
1/2 of a Small Red Onion, finely chopped
5 Strips of Bacon, cooked, cooled and crumbled
1/2 cup of Dried Cranberries
1/4 cup of Salted Sesame Seeds, toasted

Love this salad. Pretty sure she meant to say Sunflowerseeds tho. Gonna try mine with this dressing for sure
@@sandralyttle6579at the end of assembling the salad she added sunflower seeds to it but called accidentally called them sesame seeds (they were too large for sesame seeds). The poppy seeds were in the dressing.

I'll give it a try without the cranberries and sugar, I've never had broccoli as a salad but the tangy, mustardy dressing with crispy bacon sounds like a winning combo !
My family has been making this salad exactly this way for years. I think before Craisins (particular brand of dried cranberries) came out, we used raisins, but we definitely prefer the Craisins.

I make a very similar recipe. The difference is I add pineapple chunks and use the pineapple juice in the dressing.

Looks really good but raw brocolli will almost litteraly make my intestines explode... I don't know any person who eats raw brocolli. Weird. Also, what summer are you talking about Laura? Here in France we've been having almost nonstop rain and cold to slightly mild temperatures since winter.

Cook Broccolini. Just add olive oil, cook 5 mins, blanch in cold water. Add 1 Tbsp oil, garlic, broccolini,& lemon juice.
