As a Dane, I’m actually quite impressed about how much Russians know about Denmark!
FFS, we're a very small country with less than 6 million inhabitants!
The guy who wanted to go to a Music Festival was probably talking about Roskilde Festival, it is the largest music festival in Denmark, and it has just started today, (camp open since Saturday).
I mean the whole world knows about scandinavian countries 😅 your countries are probably the best in the world currently next to japan and south korea maybe. and your women are even more beautiful than the slavic ones ❤️
Only 6 millions? At least you are in the EU and NATO right? This one Russian was already kind crypticaly making up claims through some genetic similarities.. you are also slavs he said :O
@@accountnew7030 sorry, i hate russia.....but there are a lot of beautiful russian women!
@@MrExorbitus
True, we are part of both!
One of the founding countries of NATO!
It was due to Denmark that it was discovered that the USSR had a shipment of Nuclear Missiles heading for Cuba!
If you know about the Geography of Denmark and the Baltic Sea, it’s quite obvious why such a small country still was seen as extremely important in NATO - add to this that both Greenland and the Faroe Islands are part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and suddenly we have a huge load of territory for one small country!
And the US being dependent on Denmark letting them use the northernmost Military Base in Greenland!
Fun fact about the Kingdom of Denmark - in 2022 The Kingdom of Denmark became landlocked with Canada!
After four decades of "war", the border dispute between the Kingdom of Denmark and Canada was finally settled!
A lot of shots had been exchanged in the past, all liquid and none of them with less than 40% of alcohol!
However, neither country has set up a border station - as it’s on a small uninhabited rocky island, (Hans Ø/Hans Island), in the strait between Greenland and Canada!
Oh, and yes, the old Norse raided the Baltic Shores and rivers all the way down to the Black Sea, so there’s undoubtedly some Slavic blood mixed into the bloodlines of Scandinavian people.. 😂
@@accountnew7030
I believe it’s possible to find beautiful women, and men, in all countries!
Of course, what is and isn’t considered beautiful also has some cultural parts to it!
The Scandinavian Countries has mingled with the rest of the Baltic area for millenniums - old Norse has migrated to places like Italy, the British Isles, France, Ukraine, and even Russia.
This was nice to watch. Nobody ran away saying they're busy or apolitical. 🙂

Surely we in Russia know a lot about Denmark. In Soviet times Denmark was described for us in a very friendly manner, as a very nice comfortable country with interesting unique culture, great history, many scientists, writers etc. Personally me I grew up reading fairy tales by Andersen, I always loved works of Skagensmalerne, I was impressed by "Ditte Menneskebarn". Of course, I was glad to visit Denmark finally, not for a long time, though.

Very impressive how much you know! Much more than most of the immigrants who have lived here for 25+ years :)
Im not going to sugar coat this:
As a Dane I don’t hold the Russian government, it’s actions nor the Soviet Union in high regard.
I don’t like what the Soviet Union did, especially how members such as Russia treated other members. The actions towards the Baltic countries and Ukraine, as well as all of the gaslighting:
The deportation of Lithuanians, the starvation of Ukrainians, and more personally: how
the people who were being shot for leaving eastern Berlin weren’t mentioned with anything other than “why would they leave its great to be here”. a lot of those actions are simply not justifiable, it was not nice.
And the stuff the current Russian government does because of the former Soviet Union borders, doesn’t sit well with me at all.
My family are all from Denmark, we were big into communism, until the vail was pulled away from it all. The actions of the Soviet government in east Berlin as told by one of my family’s friends has left me shaken , and the rest of my family took a distance from it all a long time ago.
It was clear that the Soviet government just wasn’t doing what we were told it was doing. Everything that was supposedly just rumors made to tarnish the image of the communist state, turned out were actually true.
People were starving, people were being slaughtered, shot, killed hunted and removed.
I’m sure your experiences were different and you don’t see the Soviet Union as being all of the above, and they surely were more than just cold hard killers of kids and families who wanted to move. But it has probably been both and more at the same time.
But I guess I can’t complain about the nice things that state has said about us Danes in the past. It’s very interesting to know.
Idk what else to say, your words have made me happy that we aren’t being seen as monsters, but quite frankly I don’t know if I understand why we were described in a friendly way by a state who doesn’t like NATO, especially since Denmark was one of the core founders.
I guess I don’t know, with those thoughts voiced I will say with all respect, I hope you Take care, and stay safe.
@@CatchBurning I mean Denmark is a very indifferent country with no real hatred towards anyone, so it's not like our state has pushed opinions on us.

Denmark 🇩🇰 here. I am amazed how much these Russian people know and actually, they are quite precise in their knowledge. However, I don't think we would count as a "Slavic country", more likely a Nordic-Scandinavian country with a Germanic language. Not surprisingly, we may be a "mix" of our closest neighbours - Sweden, Norway and Germany. We might be used to the cold, but parts of Russia will probably get much colder. The Roskilde Festival is the festival the fellow talk about with approx. 130.000 participants - taking place at the time of writing.
He's probably talking about obodrites -- old Northern Slavic tribe very close to Denmark.
I wondered if it was an allusion to the revelation that, genetically, Russian slavs are the odd slavs out of the slavic nations: they are in fact basically Balts. Maybe this interviewee assumed that Danes are too? (Balts do have some Germanic mix over the last couple of millennia.)
I read somewhere that the Rus tribe was one of the tribes somewhere around Sweden
The Rus began to develop present-day Russia from the Scandinavian countries and they were called Varangians, so there are some roots
--- "We might be used to the cold, but parts of Russia will probably get much colder"
You, guys, litterally own a giant glacier island right below the North Pole.
As a Russian I’m surprised no one has mentioned Kierkegaard, Lars von Trier or Thomas Vinterberg. Cause all of them are very popular here. (smorrebrod and hygge were surprisingly strangely omitted too).
Surprisingly, Vladimir Dahl (Владимир Даль) - a famous Russian lexicographer - was of Danish origin as well
Or Vitus Bering, who built the railroad across large portions of Eastern Russia. He was also the first to cross the Bering straight (named after him post mortem) in modern history.
Or C.F. Tietgen, who's company built a large portion of the telegraph lunes across Russia, from Western Europe, to China.

Denmark is a great country ! The authors of the 3 major programming languages are from there: C++, C#, and PHP. Bjarne Stroustrup, Anders Hejlsberg and Rasmus Lerdorf
As a dane, I am pretty glad that russians think we are boring. Here are some facts about russians in Denmark: Russian battleships are allowed to sail through our waters in order get to the atlantic, but sometimes they linger around just long enough for people to get scared and make headlines. They just anchor menacingly next to our coasts and installations. We also see russian fishing trawlers with armed and masked guards observing us. And once in a while a few fighter jets crosses into our air space, forcing our fighters to scramble and escort them back. I think Russia uses this scare tactics on all their borders, constantly pushing just a little bit. It's annoying and it is no wonder NATO keeps growing; nobody wants to be a lone neighbor to Russia, case and point Ukraine.
Still, I do think of Russia as a country close to us in many ways. They are just stuck in centuries old imperial thinking. I would love it if they just chilled the f.... down and joined the fellowship of Europe.
The generations must change in order to Russians loose their imperial mentality. And I know this because I was born and raised amongst Russians
Western Europe is on the decline, with their modern monetary policy, woke ideology and sexual debauchery, while Russian society is on the incline.
E f en A🍁
They do this in northern Norway, as well. Fishing vessels with advanced surveillance equipment on board. Vessels that turn off their tracking signals so as to go into "stealth mode" while sailing conspicuously back and forth over submarine cables that connect Svalbard with the Norwegian mainland. Fighter jets repeatedly violating Norwegian airspace in order to test how quickly the Norwegian Air Force will react.
Yea, I spoke to Bornholm residents and that Russian tactics seems to work. They are kinda afraid
I'm beyond impressed, i really wasn't expecting such a vast knowledge about my country.

Some financial info about Denmark that surprisingly have had an increasing government budget surplus the past two years in a row. It went from a small $613 million budget deficit in 2020 (obviously because of the covid-19 crisis) to a surprising $8.4 billion surplus in 2021 and a just as surprising $18.4 billion surplus in 2022, primarily driven by strong industrial performances, and there is no sign of an energy crisis or financial crisis being on it's way. In fact, the latest government prognosis from 2023 show that there will be more money for public spending's over the next years to come.
This goes for all European countries. Belgium went from a 3 Billion yearly deficit, to a 30+ billion yearly deficit. European Central Bank printing money like crazy since 2020. Germany, the motor of Europe, dug a deep hole in the last 3 years, and especially the last year. Changing into a deindustrialized and de-energized country will show the rest of the world how fast a country can change from one of the most rich nations in the world to a 2nd world country.

One of the worlds largest container shipping companies Maersk also made their biggest profit ever in 2022, and LEGO always do well, no matter if the heavy industry is doing poorly or you are stuck at home with little to do during a pandemic. Denmark also rely more on renewables and no so much on gas and also has it's own oil and gas fields.
I am impressed with the knowledge of the interviewed

As a Russian, I can say: we consider you the most advanced Baltic country (out of three), you have a very good Internet connection, we envy you. Many dream to visit your country, some even to move. We know you don't like us and we understand why. I hope for quick changes within our country so that relations between our peoples begin to improve

Daniil, can we get some comments about the Baltic countries? Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia?
.... or Poland?
The thumbnail is absolutely insane 🤣
I'm interested to see what they have to say about Ireland.
As a Dane, with many Russian friends and colleagues, I'd love to say to any Russians who read this: The current conflict between our nations is not a conflict between the people of Russia and Denmark, but a conflict between the people of Denmark and the leadership of Russia, based on their decision to invade Ukraine.
Se Survival Russia på CZcams.
It's not precise true. In my close circle I don't know anybody who wants any kind of war, but I know that lots of russians really support the regime. Russians don't want war, but they also defend and help to those who they think friends.
Nice that you are trying to be open minded. But if you even think for a second!; you will see that USA and Nato have been forcing russia to this "invasion"
I think the time where the people of russia , is Void of any responsibility has passed ! They have voted for putin time and again, and they where all very happy when russia annexed Cremia, quite easily !!! Now when the fight is hard , to tone has changed in some people in russia, but its kind of to late !!!

@The_Gambler10 I think Denmark has more to offer than just beaches, but yes you could abosolutely visit Denmark only for the beaches :0)
Thank you, more accurate to say not Russians, but Moscow residents are knowledgeable about foreign countries. Russians from small towns are not.

Lots of great knowledge and kind words in this video! 😊 I don't think this group is representative of Russia as a whole, most don't know that much about Denmark/Europe in my experience. The reverse is probably also true...
Many comments on here seems to be unaware that Denmark has many beautiful fjords. What we are missing is mountains and snow.
2:07 Shout out to danish architecture! 👍
Daniil, can you pose questions about Sweden too?
Maybe the answers will be different since Russia and Sweden have a long past history...
Naah, I bet answers would be of the same nature.

While there was a "mutiny" going on in Russia the other day, there was also a ‘peace summit’ plan meeting held in Denmark on Ukrainian request, but the sudden trouble in Russia unfortunately forced The US national security adviser Jake Sullivan to stay home and so cancel and not attend this highly important meeting in Copenhagen, with Senior officials from Ukraine, Denmark, G7 countries, the EU but not least nations such as Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey, who Ukraine aim to rally behind them in a broader coalition, to increase the diplomatic pressure on Moscow.
Those countries you listed after the EU has little incentive and a historical ax to grind with the collective West.
I don't entirely disagree with them, but I don't think they should take it out on Ukraine.
@@recoil53 ... Which is why Ukraine invited them to a peace summit meeting in Denmark, probably because Denmark is in top-2 regarding weaponry and financial support to Ukraine along with Norway per GDP and per capita, but the secretary general of NATO is Norwegian, so Denmark would be the most obvious choice for Ukraine to host the negotiations, considering that the countries in question have no axe to grind with Denmark.
@@agffans5725 Hey now... As the birthplace and decendants of the Vikings, we do historically know a thing or two about how best to grind your axe - so feel free to bring it along :)
They go visit zelensky in Kiev yet you expect me to believe that prigozhin little drama is scaring them away from Denmark? I suppose you believe everything they say. More likely nobody but the G 7 were going to show up..... and it's a US holiday weekend.
@@deborahdean8867 ..The meeting was held and everyone showed up, except for Jake Sullivan, because being the US national security adviser he could not leave the USA so long as there was a mutiny going on in Russia that potentially could lead to Putin pushing the nuke button.
If you want to party, you go to Copenhagen, if you want nature, you go to Norway, if you want to be left alone or insulted or eat horrible food, go to Sweden ❤
Dang, just because it's true doesn't mean you have to say it out loud, hahaha!

Sweden should send Ukraine a few thousand cans of surströmming that can be fired with mortars into Russian defensive positions and opened on impact.

Great video. Nice to see Russians in a different light.
Nice video!!! I wonder what people think about the Netherlands
tbh one of the favorite countries for Russians, especially for the people from Saint Petersburg:) The most beautiful city that was inspired by Amsterdam. All the dijken and canals built with the help of Dutch ppl. Honestly, would move there if not for the taxes lol:) But for real, Dutch/Russians are like super well integrating, since we are all also extremely direct and honest, no BS. And! Dutch are extremely tech-savvy (like Churchill once said: "Move the Irish to the Netherlands and they'll drown, move the Dutch to Ireland and they'll feed the world") and like best engineers. All in all, the best country for IT people from Russian in Europe, honestly. Costy cause of cost of living crisis, but great.
They had most of it right. Im impressed!
A shame their war prevents them from having more of this kind of discussions.
I sadly cannot say Russian sentiment in Denmark has every really been positive.
I absolutely would prefer a good relationship with Russia, but constant airplane provocations, armed fishing boats and russian warship just hovering over our coasts or ramming into ships and then just disappearing off radar really does put a damper on that. They are at an all time low now thanks to the invasion.
I do hope I’ll live to see russia throw off its ancient mindset and properly join Europe, but I fear I’ll be an old man before that happens if I’m lucky
In order for Russia to become part of Europe (which I myself really want, as a Russian), we must get rid of not only Putin, but also all the KGB officers who, by mistake, she remained in power after 1991, not being lustred and put in jail. It was they who brought Putin to power, and thus arranged a revenge. I can only say one thing, as long as there is no lustration in Russia, as in the Czech Republic, for example, Russia will continue to slide into a dictatorship.
Russian government was methodically pushing away people with European values and mindset, breeding loyal apolitical sheep herd. Brain drain in post soviet countries is one of the greatest in the world.
НАТО изначально и создавалось против СССР. Этой страны нет, но НАТО существует. Почему? Потому Россию не стали принимать в свое европейское содружество, а решили оставить НАТО и уже против России набирать силу. Украина хотела стать частью НАТО. @@helgeschneider9069 I was at a good US university when the first gulf war was in the offing, and (just because I was a foreigner) students kept coming and asking me what I thought would happen, would there be a war, would they get drafted (I did not even know how the reserves system worked)…
But it was extremely difficult to talk to them about it, because you had to back up and explain absolutely every single reference.
Most of these young people were of normal intelligence and some were extremely smart - yet they had no clue what Kuwait was, what Iraq was, where in the world either were; or that their country had backed Iraq against Iran, why that had a knock-on effect on Iraq-Kuwait relations, why oil prices matter when your own country “has all the oil we need”, why the US wasn’t acting as “the world’s policeman” out of altruism, etc etc. It was exhausting.
But foreigners there, we all felt the same - no wonder they were so oblivious of the rest of the planet. Even when you were actively searching, it was quite hard to get foreign news from the TV or papers (the internet was not a thing yet) beyond a few vague paragraphs and propaganda-laden cliches.
