My mans Ivan is a prime example of confident but confused and he doesn't even realize it.
Says there's no freedom of speech in other countries but there is in Belarus, yet gives two counterarguments on his own and then shifts to a different topic when confronted with his own contradiction
Yeah that was funny! And also a bit sad!
Ivan wouldn't even be here without American and British help during WWII. What an idiot.
Or else he realizes that he doesn't have freedom of speech, and dances around the topic to avoid being jailed. These people have a finely-tuned ability to "double-speak" to keep out of prison. A born & raised American has difficulty even comprehending how hard that would be.

Very easy to spot the ones that watch Ruzzian TV
I think it shows very well what propaganda can do. He doesn't sound stupid, just misguided by false information from sources that he thinks are trustworthy. As he says, ordinary people do not want war. He also thinks that it is the Ukrainians that bombs civilians, and therefor he does not like their leadership. I mean.. if that is what he is told by the news on TV and, it is hard to blame him for thinking that. He even says that he doesn't like countries that doesn't have democracy, and I guess that is understandable in itself. He has just been fed lies about his own countrys democracy and how it works in other countries.
Every boomer is like that. My parents in Czechia are now like this as well, all they read are hoax mails, and russian propaganda on facebook. Weird times

There were massive protests in the UK about the Iraq invasion. Other than a few people at both ends of the political spectrum, I think there's overall support for Ukraine and their right to exist as a free nation. There have been price rises but I think people are willing to accept that as the price for stopping a country being erased from the map
Denmark here ... Only 7% were against sending more weapons to Ukraine, while 3% said they weren’t sure. Even among the voters from the two most far-left wing parties in the parliament, 66% and 68% are in favor of donating more weaponry, while only 19% and 12% are against. The most left-wing of the two parties, that used to be against NATO and NATO membership have also changed their stand, now being all for NATO and a NATO membership, at least for the time being, due to Putin's invasion of Ukraine, for which they find no valid excuse.

Great video! For some reason I expected the people of Belarus to be similar in thought and demeanor to the many Russians we see on this channel, but overall there seems to be a greater diversity of opinion and as a whole the people seem much happier. Not what I expected at all, but all we usually hear about Belarus in western media is something related to Lukashenko and corruption. Hope to see more of this in the future in other former Soviet states in the Russian sphere of influence, it's very interesting
Everything is the same in Belarus. Only they didn't show everyone that was filmed.
thank you 🙏 we appreciate your support

But when thousands of commentators under this and other similar videos decide that they certainly know better how people live in Belarus and Russia, you are unlikely to repeat your phrase. Calling other countries “disgusting and bad” for you and other people like you is normal, but when people said the same thing about your country, it’s not funny anymore, right?
And how naive it is to think that in your country, in USA, in France, in UK etc everything is absolutely perfect, but in Russia and Belarus everyone is so sad and people live there badly, and in general they are all poor and unhappy there. So actively shout about propaganda in these countries, but forget that propaganda was, is and will be in all countries, and in yours too.

Well, I learned something today. Britain tried to destroy Belarus. I really did not know that... Still, who wouldn't want Belarus' resources, whatever they may be.

They also brainwash a lot against Romania, Poland and the European Union.
As a German, I'm surprised that there is at least one person who doesn't like Germany. I thought that was impossible. 🤯
No reasonable person, including Belarusians, has hate towards Germany. It’s a great nation with its rich history and culture, and we’re are not to be blamed for what was done by our ancestors
I know right, im English, and I was thinking there's no effing way to not love Germany!
Imagine living in Belgium, you will never be hated. People always forget or don't know we exist even though we host the european capital. Germany is an easy target because people can see it on the map.

As a Polish person who encountered a lot of people from the East, I always thought Belarusians are more sober than Russians in their views.
It's a little biased tho, belarusians are geographically and ethnically closer to the west. It's hard to hate for example Lithuania or Poland when half of your family is from there
@@glebskachko1811 If you're from the region, you should better than calling our personal experiences biased bc of ethnicity. And fyi, my family comes from past German and Austro-Hungarian occupied territories.
because your view of the world is the only sober one, right?
@@glebskachko1811 This is the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Belarus is closer to Russia than any other country. They have the same language, the same race (Eastern Slavs), and most Belarusians have families in Russia. Then who do you mean by "the West"? Do you classify Poland as being from the "West"?You can hate Russia and you can give your opinion about it. But there is a difference between giving your opinion and giving misleading information
@Congruent Cat I know quite a couple of lovely Russian people :) I could go on explaining where I live now (not Poland, wow!) and whom I encountered, but I can already tell you are a sad person with sad perceptions. All the hugs to you, hope you will see the world in less bitter colours!
Where does that guy get his knowledge from that there’s no democracy in England, America and Germany? They’re literally democracies, whereas Belarus is a dictatorship.

Then says [also paraphrase] "millions of the English are complaining about the government".

Yes, I love the ignorance. If the English, and the other European nations were locked up for complaining about the government, there would be millions of prisoners. Whereas, in Mad Vlad's Russia, they are locked up, or sent to fight in a war.
