duolingo taught me how to say "this is my sweater"
Гты мой суши (that's supposed to say "Where is my sushi" for the people who actually speak Russian, is this correct?)
It taught me to say 'Dad, this is not my motor' (Папа, это не мой мотор) and 'This is a circus and not a café' (Это цирк а не кафетерий)
Wow. I understood literally every single word. Oh, wait... I'm russian
Nope. You are not. Because Russians don't speak like this. Hahahha
"I play the instrument, the girl sings" would be a pretty good band name
Tim Peterson lmao you’re right...
Играю гитар, а девочка поёт.
So simple!
As a newbie learning Russian, I don’t freaking understand anything
Don't get discouraged. Russian is a complicated language and takes a long time to learn. Conversational Russian, even simple conversations like this, can be very difficult to follow. Stay with it, though. Learning foreign languages is always a wonderful thing. It's a trip, not a destination.
Don't worry :) I'm on my sixth year of learning but I can only get some parts. Mainly cos the pace of learning russian in school is slow but if you're learning on your own dw you'll get there
I'm learning Russian. And this channel is very helpful.
@@djamilamessaoud5760 if you don't mind then you can talk to me in russian ....then it would be helpful of us .......
Типичный диалог на русском:
- Я рубил сучки у дерева весь день.
- Сучки рубил?
- Да.
- На гитаре играешь?
:D
From my limited, beginner knowledge... I've understood something about money and going home to play. I can make a few guesses at what that was....
It was an odd choice of words as an example for you guys. "сУчки" means "bitches" and "сучкИ" it is like "sticks". It's hard for foreigns.
I started to learn Russian in november as a hobby, and saw this video shortly after. Now that I'm watching it back, this time with no subtitles, I already I understand a lot more! Can't wait to come back to this vid again in a month or so to see how much more I can understand. Would love for you to post more conversations about different topics, they are challenging but a very fun way to learn. :)
Hello, where are you from, i am from Russia and I learn English we can help each other to improve our target Languages
@@paigemarie6822 I had forgotten completely about this video! Now I can listen and understand nearly all of it :D (but I find it a lot easier to understand when I read Russian rather than listen to it, I’m reading the first Harry Potter book in Russian now. I started doing it last year, however I was so busy w school so I’ve attempted it on and off. :) )
This is exactly how I sound when I'm trying to talk to my Sims with my mouth full
I am iranian and I really like the sound of Russians language... it's so powerful and has a good tune and rethem
Most Americans, that I've spoken to, think Russian sounds like a harsh language, with a lot of hawking in the throat. Like as if they're about to spit a loogie, if that makes any sense. It doesn't sound too harsh to me though, like any other foreign language sounds. I always wonder if English sounds so foreign, or even difficult to understand to others that don't know it.
@Donna è I've always thought French was a harsh language, it's pretty strong. I don't think it sounds pretty when I hear it at all. I actually watched a video of him going over the different sounds of the letters in Russian. I'm bilingual English/Spanish, and could relate almost all of the different sounds to one or the other language. That took away any feelings of Russian being harsh to the ears. The letters are a lot different than what I'm used to, but the sounds they make are not very different at all.
@@Gee5425 I feel exactly the same way! I think I'm the only one in my friend group to prefer Russian over French
I can't believe this video is almost a year old! I began studying Russian on my own about two months ago, and listening to this dialog was very helpful. It's a bit fast for me yet, but with the subtitles and convenient rewind on on CZcams, I realized I understood many of the words and the sentence structure. So happy to have stumbled upon this channel, thank you Fedor for making Russian accessible to self-motivated learners!
If you want to improve your listening comprehension skills, I would recommend checking out Memrise. They have a set of phrases pronounced by native speakers in everyday environment. It helped me immensely when I was studying German.
Yay I love this kind of dialogue. Keep it up
I grew up speaking english but i eventually want to speak russian because it is such a beautiful language.
im not learning or studying russian, but i love the sound of it so much!!
as a native speaker of Russian, I want to learn English. I forget everything I learn in it:((
Been learning russian for 3 years, understood absolutely everything except the branches part, didnt know what branches were called lol. Im really happy with my progress, and I've been a long time fan of yours, I'd love to see more videos like this. Пишу вам из северной Ирландии, приветствую!
I can't believe in this, by the end of 2019 i was starting to study russian and i saw this video and i didn't get more than 5 words even with subtitles so i didn't get the context, now i watched it again and I'm so happy that i was able do understand the major part of the words and i got all the context 😄
Давно и неправда - perhaps the best part of the dialogue, very common in daily speech and easy for students
Yes! Also in Poland we say 'To było dawno i nie prawda'. It is also very common here!
Royal cyka blyat “That was a long time ago and that is not true”
It’s kind of joke
@@royalbirb275 it's something like "it was a long time ago and it's not true"
Yup, my russian is still bad
Andy Koloskov keep watching and listening to russian at a native pace and it will get better. I promise.
Do not worry, just try to make it interesting. A lot of people learn language and stop 'cause they don't like learning process. I suggest you watch videos you like, but made in russian.(that's how i learn english, few years ago i couldn't say "i'm going")
Thank you for these incredible videos and this new concept of having a conversation with someone. I am so happy for this.
Fedor make as many of these videos as you can, please
It's very useful and interesting to listen to these types of simple conversation.
I love this!!! это отличный способ услышать слова и то, как они меняются, когда они заключены в предложения Спасибо за друга за ваше время в этом видео. Хороших выходных!!
Your russian language level is great! I hope someday I will be able to speak English as well as you in russian. If you have some troubles with learning I will be glad to help you
This channel has been a big help, I've been learning for four years and have barely seen any progress. I'm not at all fluent yet but I just watched the movies Брат and Иди и Смотри without subtitles. I understood the context of every conversation to the point where I could tell where the story was going and roughly what was being said. Большое спасибо, Федор.
Videos like these are really helpful, especially for learners looking to practice the theories.
Thank you very much, Fedor, I started learning Russian in January 2020 and it’s now summer of 2022 and this is one of the first videos of yours I watched. I couldn’t understand it without the subtitles at all say, a year ago but I’ve kept coming back and now I understand pretty much all of it without them with a big thanks to your Be Fluent course online thank you!
This video has to be my favourite of all your great videos my man fedor
WOW! I have to say, I started learning russian last year for a short time but stopped learning after only about two months. In that time I watched some of these russian dialogues but could only grasp mayb 10 to 20% of the convo. I started back up again about 3 months ago, more seriously, and after watching this video I could actually grasp at least 50%. This channel has helped me so much since I started learning again.
This type of videos are honestly the most helpful thing, if you could do more of them (or if you already have please let me know) that would be great!
I'm on week 3 of Russian training. I slowed the speed of the video to 75 percent ... That helped!
AMAZING! THANK YOU! literally everyone was saying super sad things and I was literally about to regret this... But you gave me hope... At least a little bit thank you 😂😂
I've been learning russian for a while now, and your videos have been a great help in that adventure. It's a beautiful language ang culture and I wish to visit the country one day.
это был очень полезным! надеюсь что ты сделаешь другие видео как это! :)
i'm so glad i can understand a very little of that conversation
I've just found this channel for improving my reeeeally basic russian, with other material I found on the internet to sudy as self taugh.... useful and pratical...
You got my support!
Greet from Italy!
DOH! As a newbie learning Russian I thought I was starting to comprehend through this and other channels (Daria is great and mentioned you). Months ago I knew nothing, within a short time I could (mostly) sound out written words. Then...here...you start "speaking" Russian. Halfway through I think I understood groupo (and came up with group), something about music, about working, maybe about a house. I'm lost : ) OK the jazz greats brought me in, but subtitles on this would be SUPER. Still I couldn't wipe the smile off my face listening to you 2 talk. Thank you Fedor, for helping us learn. really though, subtitles, going back and REALLY dissecting this conversation later, pronouncing over and clearly the words (sometimes I wish you would do that more on your channel. You tend to pronounce things once or twice quickly) But thank you.
Hey Fedor, I never comment here on CZcams, but I just wanted to say that this is amazing to practice with! I would love to see more of this
Please make more of these! I just starting to understand conversation and this is very helpful!
Great video. This really shows me that I really need to keep practicing my listening skills, and up my vocabulary. However, I understood the general basis of some of the conversation :D
Please more such conversations on different topics. This is very useful for all levels, even beginners.
Wooow this video is awesome please upload videos like this daily conversation 😊 thanks for billions times учитель Федор 😇
That was very helpful for me as a Russian learner to try and follow along. Greetings from South Africa!
I loved this video for immersion. Super helpful!

Video: A Basic Dialogue in Russian
Intro: HEY WHAT'S UP GUYS HOWS IT GOING?!?!?!
Super , i asked you this in instagram messages . i don't know if you saw my message , but this is what i wanted to learn .
You’re the best, Fed. Thanks!
I was so happy to just recognize the word ‘near’ which is возле I think
This is super cool, I love listening to this!
EVERYBODY is talking that russian sounds like portuguese so I came here to check it!
Yeah, it definitely sounds like european portuguese, but nothing like brazilian portuguese.
In Polish there are both nasal vowels and the sound /zh/. In Russian we have no nasal vowels.
Right when he introduced Vadim, the first thing that came to mind was Boris.
(Not meant to be insulting)
This was a great idea. Please do more of these dialogues?!
This was amazing! It may seem a little funny to you but this helps me so much! More dialogues!! Я очень любила !
It’s better to say „Мне очень понравилось“. „любить“ is usually used to describe habits and romantic feelings (I love you etc.). It is NOT a 100% equivalent to „like“ or „love“. There are some occasions, however, when you can say „Я люблю эту (песню)“, for example when a familiar song starts playing and you already know that you like it and want to draw attention for everyone to listen or something ling that. I cannot say „я люблю этот фильм“ when you see it for the first time. Hope that helps ;)
I am macedonian, and i thought i couldn't understand russian, but after listening to this conversation i become aware that i can understand a lot. Спасибо :)
Good job❤Its wonderful, I WISH YOU THE BEST, guys, keep fingers crossed and we-students will hapilly stay tuned. 🎉

Learning Russian language I mean.

This was awesome. You should do it more times. We learn a lot with this kind of dialogues. And try to invite different kind of people. Older, young, kids, boys, girls and set up different topics. It would be really enriching
I could listen to this on repeat and not get bored
Russian and portuguese are the two most beautiful languages in my opinion. Would love to learn them.
Would love it if you did more videos exclusively in Russian. Would really help with my input-based learning method :)

MORE DIALOGUES? I can extract soooo much to learn! This is was better than hundreds of lessons
I am currently in the beginning stages of learning Russian, I love the culture and language of Russia!
I tried learning Russian a very long time ago- I started with just learning the alphabet- it’s challenging for a person who comes from a country that strictly hears English being spoken and read.
I didn’t have the discipline back then, but during this lockdown bs, I’m gonna give it another shot!
This video is super cool 😎
Nazdrovya! Or as my Serb peoples say: Svieli!
Wow , I understood every simple word ! Wait , I’m talking in Russian since my childhood…
Great vid thanks guys!
I’m a big hockey fan and would love to understand interviews with players and coaches from the KHL. What would be the best way to train my ear to hear Russian when spoken at a normal speed. It is to quick and only pick up a few words when listening to anything at normal speed.
Here I am like, 'yeah man this will be a beginner course'. Then these guys just start talking fluently lol. All good I subscribed I'll stay posted
