War and its aftermath put you in psychic states that its hard to climb out of by yourself. I loved this film, its message and the song . a masterpiece of human understanding. Didnt even know "Gladiator" was musically gifted.

Ironically, my fiancee' and I watched this movie "on a Sunday afternoon", and it was pretty good. Well, when the credits starting rolling and this song chimed in, our eyes both popped when the voice kicked in, because this dude was just booming over the top of this subtle music "TIII-III-III-III-IME". We kind of laughed, like, "WOW! WHAT THE HECK?! Where did that come from" - but in a good way, both impressed and shocked. Well I couldn't tell exactly how I felt about it, until right about that second verse, then I knew I loved this song and ear marked it for later. I went to work with it stuck in my head and came home and found it first thing first. And I admit, when I sat down and listened to it and immersed myself in it, I just cried. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and the passion in the voice is undeniable. And I'm so thankful that I can listen to this song and think of my fiancee's beautiful smile every time I hear it for the rest of my life. Cheers everyone!

There was a time, before I got really sick, that I too had a fiancee and we used to do the same things, choosing to stay at home to watch a movie rather than go out. When I got the news from the doctors, that I had prayed I wouldn't hear(ever) the pain I felt then wasn't because of the bad news I heard, but from the agreement we both had made that I didn't want her to see me slowly deteriorate and that I wanted her to have a happy life. Wow! Stumbled across the last 30 minutes of this movie, the credits started and I froze! I couldn't change the channel.. Led me straight to the computer, I just had to know who this was. Amazing work by Russell Crowe and phenomenal vocal choice (Kristoffer Fogelmark - no more background singing for you- take the spotlight man, YOU have talent!!) hands down it was INSTANTLY one of my all time favorites from the first note. I agree with many here, there aren't many songs in a lifetime that can grab you the way this one does, I am just grateful I didn't change the channel.. Or I may have missed out on one of the most incredible songs of all time.
