@ 11:35 ---> He came back out in the top left corner, you missed the opportunity...
@ 13:36 ---> Watch the front of his chest, and see his last breath escape thru the bullet hole. I've seen it before, a few times !
Congrats on the fantastic wolf... Doesn't get much better than shooting an old battle-scarred wolf with teeth worn from age, and has a radio collar to boot !
Yep, you're right... he did come back out in the top left corner. We didn't notice it until we watched the video afterwards. He was also 400+ yards away at this point, and we weren't ready to take that shot as we were waiting for him to work his way down the river closer to us. He had followed the bank for a long ways, and we hoped he would continue doing that until he was within 200. Unfortunately, he dipped up into the trees and never gave us the shot we were hoping for. In the end, we found ourselves a better wolf from the pack and have one heck of a story to tell from it!
That was an awesome bull and an awesome wolf congratulations.
Did you ever hear the history of the wolf from the game department? Curious how long he was with the collar.
I’ve reached out to the Fish and Wildlife department, and also to the leading Wolf study individual in the province and both of them have not gotten me anything back regarding the collar. I would really love to know as well. They both told me they would get it to me, but neither of them did
@@FatalImpactOutdoors I found a collar up here in Northern Alberta (Fort Mcmurray) and the University of Alberta who led the study also won't give me any info. Kinda disappointing. Where in Alberta was this?
All the battles packs he prolly went through beautiful beast he was up in age didn’t have many yrs left great kill
Nope he certainly didn't have many years left. He was old and run down. I would have loved to know some of the stories he could tell.
Really interested in knowing the history of the gps man. Have u heard anything?
I never heard anything back. Two different departments told me they would get the info and send it over. Never received anything from either of them
Looked like a good time. Good job on the wolf, and I completely agree with your wolf policy.
Congrats on the wolf. Excellent job with the camera to capture the action.
Thanks!
I thought collared wolves were protected....
Not in Alberta, no

Why killing deer or moose this is not a predetor hunt wolf or kayote to control his number
WTF? Are you saying?
@@morgankruse4666 wtf
Heartbreaking. You’d better talk to the park services about that. It’s illegal to kill a collared wolf. And I’m just astonished by the fact after you killed it, you lifted the wolfs leg up and looked and felt the penis. And then you just proudly said “he’s a big male” as if it was some sort of joke. Maybe you should be more worried. It’s quite illegal! And then your just like “I have always wanted to kill a wolf” just disgusting. Horrible video. Any animal has a life. ESPECIALLY ones that are protected, tracked, collared, and helped by wolf biologists government ETC. I literally can’t even. Like, it’s so horrible to see something so gruesome and disgusting. Thanks for reading. 🐺🍃 may the wolf rest in peace.. 🍃🐾🐺
While I absolutely respect your opinion, and do appreciate you taking the time to reach out with your thoughts, I do have to say that there is absolutely nothing illegal about harvesting a collared wolf in Northern Alberta Canada. Fish and Wildlife were contacted and made aware of the fact that he was killed. Growing up in the wilderness up here my entire life, it's always been easy to see the first hand damage and destruction that these animals do to our ungulate populations, and with them being so smart and wary, it is nearly impossible to lower their populations. Their numbers are far too high for sustainability, and as a conservationist that believes in the management of all species both predator and prey, I can assure you that taking this old wolf out of the pack was perfectly sustainable and good for the overall dynamics of the forest in this region. I don't expect you to agree with it, but just know that we don't go around senselessly killing animals. We love animals more than anyone, and the future of wild populations lies almost exclusively in the proper management and conservation funded primarily through hunting and conservation groups.
@@FatalImpactOutdoors i don't believe a word you wrote, you're not culling nor doing animal control, i still remember you saying the only good wolf is a dead wolf, you lie like a true communist.
it's so gruesome it's so gross it's so disgusting and yet you watch it through. liar
Do better with the titles and thumbnails. Makes it seem like you tracked and killed an old wolf with a gps collar. All set. not watching. Byeeee
He did
Why kill the wolf's
@@sonjaorleans8850 if you kill deer, you kill wolves. Cant eliminate one side of nature and not keep the balance on the other. Its common sense.
They kill the population of good populated animals, they could be overpopulated, they could be protecting there dogs or farm animals plenty of reasons to kill them why not kill them
What you say @ 18:00 is ignorant and disrespectful to all hunters and predators.
This attitude is what makes hunters look bad.
I hope one day you'll learn respect young boy.
