My goodness Chloe has matured so much. The sound she produces is absolutely magical. She has to be among THE best violinists of her generation, if not the very best of them all!
YES!❤
Not just of her generation.
Chloe is among the best violinists alive, if not the very best of them all.
@@jackburgess8579 wowowo calm down bro, calm down
@@ngotranhoanhson5987
It is just plain fact.
To see for yourself, listen to her performances and compare them with everyone else's performances of the same works.
@@ngotranhoanhson5987 Ay man, I think I gotta agree with him lol
The butterfly emoji in the title is so cute, so as Chloe and her performance!
I love the singapore symphony orchestra. Just so balanced and each instrument sounds heavenly. Chloe is magnificent, complemented by these musicians.
Sg and SSO owed to Dr. Goh a great deal. Our mighty tough old guard, who has built many of SG institutions, from Defense, Econ, Culture, and Bird Park. And he was one strongly rejected the idea of letting Sentosa island to be another oil refinery.
Dr Goh was its founding patron from 1979 and was acknowledged as such till 2011, a year after his death in 2010.
In a 1980 interview with The Straits Times on the occasion of the orchestra's first birthday, Dr Goh said: "We are not the Philistines that our economic and material success might lead people to believe we are. We believe that there's more to life than making money and that the orchestra would be worthwhile as it would raise the standard of culture of Singaporeans."
Yesterday (July 26), The Violin Channel published a very interesting interview with Chloe, in which she announced that she has enrolled on a BA at the Hanns Eisler music school in Berlin, starting in October, where she will study violin with Kolja Blacher.
I think that Berlin will soon feel like a home from home (in Chloe's beloved Singapore), and that she will have a wonderful time there.
I wish her the very best of luck as she begins this new chapter in her life!
It's a great next step as she matures from a child prodigy to a full master violinist
@@jamesrawlins735
Chloe is already a full master violinist (in the sense that she has given some of the best performances, of works central to the repertoire, of the recorded era).
I've never heard of this concerto, but it is absolutely beautiful. This young lady is also so incredibly talented.
There are so many wonderful Chinese pieces that we have little exposure to.
it's a chinese piece
I bought a CD of this masterpiece as a birthday gift for my piano teacher. She definitely will love it!
A very beautiful gift it is too!🙂
@@jackburgess274 Absolutely!
I... I don't know what to say. I feel as if I've just been teleported to heaven where the butterflies flutter among each other drinking the nectar from exotic flowers. Amazing, Chloe!!!🥰😍
The whole thing is lovely, and the beautiful Miss Chloe Chua is the cherry on top.
Somehow, Chloe made an already beautiful song, even better
Waiting patiently at flute and saxophone until violin angel Chloe comes and there she is. 😊 Growing big and beautiful. 🥰😘
i might inappropriately touch you buddy
🎷 saxophone? 🫤😭😱😅
I've been watching Chloe since her Menuhin Tie-Win with Christian Li and always wondered if she would complete a Chinese piece... I guess she answered that! An amazing lady - bravo Ms. Chua!
Wonderful!
Sounds SO good.
Perfectly played and who ever mixed the sound did a masterful job, you can hear everything so clearly,
Jin Ta is awesome!
Chloe Chua is still Ling Ling.
I'm proud to be a supporter of the SSO.
Way to go, Ling Ling. Superb as always.
I've been playing the violin for many years, but I never knew the violin could sound like that. Chloe is absolutely amazing!
Gosh! Her sound quality just hit the soul of the piece and mine from the first note on. Absolutely brilliant.
Chloe and the SSO; marvelous and superb, as expected!🦋💫
Chloe Chua will be starting her Bachelor’s degree in Hanns Eisler this October and will be learning violin from Mr. Kolja Blacher.
Confirmed.

Music history, music theory, etc... In a way, you're right. The Beatles couldn't read the score and had no ambition to learn it. Still, they had heard about Bach even though they just Rolled Over Beethoven :)
bruh the Flute and Oboe solo is immaculate sia
Fr. Everyone's talking about Chloe Chua's playing, but I think the flute and oboe solos are also worth talking about.
This is so relaxing. It's beautiful.
Wow. Thia a great version of 'Butterfly Lovers.' Best I ever heard. Musician encourage take their time. So. Sound so full and vibrant and warm. Chloe pretty cool. Orchestra really awesome, too.
That is absolutly perfect ! Its the type of music will make you see real butterflies flying around in a garden when you close your eyes .Its soft and full of hope , life . I love music because of that , it reminds us the things we forget .Tysm for this masterpiece , I am so proud of you Chloe , whenever you upload something i feel like a proud mother , MashAllah , great job !
I've never heard this one before, amazing. And so well played!

Go Chloe Chua Go !!!
What a tone!!! She is a magician of the sounds!!🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵👍👍🙏
Classical music is in safe hands because of you Chloe!
Beautiful piece and marvellous violin playing ! Thanks for sharing this marvel !
I have played this piece, and it's wonderful. The secret to its performance (which Chloe nailed) is that it was originally written for western instruments that would try to capture the spirit of Chinese instruments (in her case, the Erhu.) The piece was banned during the Cultural Revolution, and later was revived, but on traditional Chinese instruments: the opening flute is done on the Dizi, the oboe on the Guan. (Only the Cellos were kept- China has no equivalent.)
This piece comes full circle with the violin trying to sound like an erhu, trying to sound like a violin! Very difficult to do, but from the snippet here, she pulled it off. Brava, young lady.

Sidebar- my violin instructor (and principal violist of the Savannah Symphony Orchestra) is from Beijing, and went to the Beijing Central Conservatory. I sent him the preview video for this, and he recognized about 6-8 members of the SSO that were former classmates of his. 🙂
@@LucienMarine Oh, yes it was. It banned during the cultural revolution because of the use of Western instruments. My source? my good friend who was born and raised in Beijing, who went to the Beijing Central Conservatory, and whose mother was the first woman in history to play viola with the National Symphony.
Of course, I'm sure you're going to state that Chinese professional musicians of the era don't know as much as you, so go right ahead.

Chloe, I love it when you play, you're the best! How can you play so well!
this concerto is beautiful and the way chloe plays it is heavenly, absolute perfection!
They’re all talented. Bravo. My soul feels like being washed by the pure winds and the influx of a stream in a bamboo forest.
Butterfly lovers will always have a special place in my heart especially as a chinese, I just want to cry every time , but at the same time my heart leaps once I hear it 😭😭 absolutely stunning!!

The sound colour she makes is reminiscent of the erhu, if I am correct - either way, it's beautiful and haunting.
If anyone wants to watch a stunning version of the whole concerto, go to the video below. It's from the 2013 Hsinchu Music Festival in Taiwan with the youth orchestra, and the soloist is the head of the Erhu department at the Beijing Central Conservatory. One of the best renditions of this concerto I have ever seen.

If you want to hear a stunning version of the whole concerto - indeed, the best performance of it that you have ever heard - buy the recently released album.
You will then be able to listen to Chloe's performance in its entirety.
Indeed, 孫凰's rendition of the piece using the Erhu is pretty much the benchmark for which all 梁祝 performances using the Erhu must be compared against.
Its never fails to leave with me with wet eyes, even after a decade of listening to it.
If you know the backstory of the fable, her performance just churns out all the emotions from it.
On the Erhu, I have not yet come across another that has matched or surpassed that performance. I would rate it in the same stratosphere as Jacqueline du Pre's legendary Elgar recording with John Barbirolli.
@@leekangswee651 Couldn't agree more about Sun Huang. Another highlight for me is the Yangqin player behind her. (The one on stage right.) These players are still teenagers, but that young woman had an amazing skill on a very difficult instrument, playing in a group of excellent musicians.
