- A viewer suggested this rule to me and it is pretty nice, easily as good as a Starrett with just a different take on the fonts and etching. I like that it is dual reading decimal inches on one side and the other side has 1mm/.5mm graduations.
Mitutoyo #182-207
Definitely agree with your statement about Mitutoyo being the Starrett of Japan. Own three of their vernier calipers, and love them!
Shinwa is another Japanese manufacturer of quality rulers/scales.
I love mitutoyo stuff
I just sold a brand new Mitutoyo digital caliper for $200 that I traded a Milwaukee fuel grinder for
They make a great backscratcher also!
Hello again Catus Maximus
Thank you for another Great Video.
Those are both really nice! For measuring equipment those are my 2 favorite brands. Micrometers next?
I have a mitutoyo digital caliper. Love it.
I've used both companies, and I consider them equal in quality.
Every time an inspector sends me an aircraft discrepancy measured in fractions...I reject it. Sorry, I don't do conversions. We build these things in tenths, and the scale we supply you with has 'em marked.
Nice video cat.
To me the mitutoyo is harder to read because of the horizontal scratches on the base metal, might just be the camera though. Great video.
it would have 2.4 mm at the end which would confuse people
