    This was great! Hearing Patrick talk, it's no wonder that Eliud considers him not just a mentor but a life coach! Patrick, no doubt, has a huge hand in Eliud being what he is today! I loved how he answered every question so thoughtfully and with such sincerity! He just exudes calmness and humility - a man of great knowledge and integrity it seems! And Radzi you're absolutely brilliant as an interviewer too - you asked all the right questions and were so respectful. Thanks!

      Life lessons to apply both at work and generally in life. For you to succeed you must have a coach with tangible evidence.

    Maximum respect for Patrick Sang. I n I say much love for the mighty humble coach. He is a living example of a “Humble African,” just as Mighty Culture’s the late Joseph Hill best put it. I’m proud of my Kenyan heritage. Can the likes of Harambee Stars coaches and FKF learn something from these great people???? Great journalism!!! Thank you.

    I never understood how hard the challenge is until i saw how long a Marathon is 😅
    To put it in easy words, kipchoge will have to maintain 13.5 m/h pace to break the 2 hour limit 😲
    I struggled for a few months to have that speed riding a bike, i can imagine how hard it is for a runner

      My statement was meant as a praise to the coach, that even with the accent, he was able to learn English better than most Americans. You’re trying to argue on an opinion based statement and not a fact. So there’s no need for the contradiction.
      I wish this was my coach.

    @Leech, many will break it in future because the mental barrier has been removed. Not everyone could have done it. I have ran a marathon and man, that mental and physical wall is real!! There comes a point where the shoes, pacers, fans and technology fade to black, even your mind turns against you and you have to reach to something deeper within the human spirit.

    Will more runners in future be able to beat the 2h-mark? Will Elliott be the first AND the only one? You guys realize that he has tons of technical support, the most optimal conditions. It won't be an official record because it didn't happen in a World Championship or at the Olympics. Those records are for real, for the history books. Running sub-2h under these sponsored artificial conditions is possible, of course. But not as impressive as an Olympic or Official World Record.

    • @callum4397
      @callum4397 Před 4 lety +18

      leech obviously so , but that’s not the point of this . To watch possibly the first sub 2 hour in ANY condition is an absolute amazing achievement that should be celebrated and not brought down because its not in the olympics or world champs . Just like the 4 minute mile being broken , this is a new achievement that yes, possibly will be broken in the future, but should be celebrated no matter what
