Shane was born with a neuromuscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy that requires him to use an electric wheelchair. He is the author of several award-winning books, the President of a nonprofit organization called Laughing At My Nightmare, and a renowned public speaker who has performed across the country at places such as Harvard University, The University of Florida, The University of Connecticut, Princeton University, and many more.
Hannah just graduated from Carleton College, where she studied Sociology and Anthropology. Her future aspirations include attending graduate school and owning a goat sanctuary. She films and edits the “Squirmy and Grubs” vlog.
Shane and Hannah have been dating for 3+ years and living together in Minneapolis for a year. On June 15th, 2019 they got engaged!!!! Their interabled relationship often confuses people, because much of society still cannot fathom people with disabilities being involved in loving, intimate relationships. Anyone who watches these episodes will quickly see their relationship is just as “normal” as any other. Sure, Hannah helps Shane use the bathroom and brush his teeth, but those activities do not detract from the emotional, intellectual, and physical connection they experience together.

Matti Mac . My husband used to say “note to self”....until I snapped at him and said “It’s a pet peeve of mind when people say that”....he didn’t miss a beat and said “note to self, wife hates notes to self”. It comes up still after 26 years together and we still laugh.

I just found your channel 2 weeks ago and i am absolutely obsessed with you both. Ive been binge watching all your videos for 2 weeks!! Hannah you are the sweetest kindest funniest girl ive ever seen in my life. The relationship the two of you have is absolutely adorable and very inspiring. I was diagnosed with a severe form of arthritis at the age of 17 and am now in a wheelchair. I have been single since i was 17 and have dreamt of meeting somebody with as beautiful a heart as you Hannah. The two of you give me hope that i might one day find my soulmate like the two of you have. Your love makes me see that there is a posibility of finding love as there are kind compassionate unjudgmental ladies like yourself out there and maybe one day i too can find my angel like Hannah. Shane you are the funniest guy ive ever seen on youtube and you truly are an inspiration for us wheelies out there. Ah yes...eating around the world. That’s what I did when I was there . Went to Disneyland in December and had so much fun eating breakfast with the Disney characters. Now I’m ready to go back to Florida to Disney World. Thank you for the video. You both do such a good job with them. I would love to meet you two in person! You both are down to Earth and kind....

Yes! Whenever Leti and I go to Epcot for a festival, the stop we ALWAYS make is France for the passion fruit martini slush. Great choice! The Tokyo Sunset drink at the Japan pavilion is awesome too.

Alexandra Weiss congratulations on getting married!! fall is probably one of the best times to go to Disney, though the time of day also factors into it! early mornings/late afternoons are good times! and if you get tickets to any events (halloween party, etc) then you’ll be able to go through fast lines at night!
