The moment when bows are actually better than swords in a solo..

Lyn has no issues dealing with most units given the high dodge rates from her high speed. However, she can only rely on dodging, as her defenses are quite low. With the addition of bows upon promotion, she can now fight units at both range. Bow's high hit rate, along with Lyn's high skill stat, her arrows will never miss the target, unless RNG wants to play with you. Her low con doesn't affect her that much since swords and bows are typically light, except Sol Katti.

Fun Fact #1: In terms of doing the highest damage to the dragon, Lyn is the strongest female character when it comes to using swords, tied with Rebecca using bows.
Fun Fact #2: Her combat/map sprites are kinda inter-swapped, in a way, that is if you actually noticed it.

I was using rutger in fe6 and he had 89% chance to crit on both attacks and he didn’t crit twice.

Thinking of Bow Lyn just reminded me on how I should've trained her more (No damage to the final boss with Sol) and that Eliwood was terrible as always (DOUBLED).
DropTheHat / AntonyCraft75 truthfully, not training her is the smarter option because she is locked to swords for the majority of the run and when she does promote she doesn't fix her problems (low durability bad weapon types, low MOV) plus she gets a bow which is leagues under Eliwood's lance+mount
Now, Eliwood is never Eligood but Lyn goes in the trashByn.
Even if you did train Lyn, her STR cap (which she generally won't reach anyway) is too low to do reliable damage with Sol anyway as seen in the vid (13 damage with 35 crit to the Fire Dragon's ungodly HP is absurdly low payout for taking 39 damage to Lyn's low HP (nearly 46 at 20/20) [85% of her HP]
For the fire dragon, HP doesn't matter much. You just have minumun 40 HP and you can take it on. Also, about her strength, you just need Filla's Might and it should be good. Plus, she's meant to be really swift, not really tough. That's why she doesn't have THAT much Str but has good Skl and Spd.
You got to refrain from using Eliwood as much as you refrain using Marcus by the time he reach level ten, then give him apa's drop and grind some exp to him and he'll be good to go.
@@kimitohanahala8674 just came here to say, Afa’s Drops only gives an extra 5% to growths, it only amounts to 1 or 2 extra points overall.
@@quinnlee-miller9792 yeah but hard grind for minimal gains, plus if you bench Eliwood for a while he won't be much of a burden since you have more chance to train other units with actual potential.

thesiaoz That does sound like a good idea but the thought of having to use bows over and over again just sounds painful to me. I know the trade trick can have her equip a sword for enemy phase but then I feel like that units turn has been wasted. I’m impressed with your commitment! Keep up the good work!

It's okay actually, since I am doing Eliwood (S rank lance) in the same run, so I train both of them at the same time, while letting Eliwood serve as a -not so useful- tank for Lyn.
Orichalcos AMV Maker I use Lyn with the same logic as a warrior. To me, C rank is enough for an optimal mix Lyn. She is actually a great unit to take out flyers because her high crit % and speed.

The bow rank was easy, he just had her kill all flyers with iron bow, and I’m pretty sure he used rng abuse or modding to get the stats
You just need to offer cookies to RNG and boom max strength on Lyn promote with using an single energy ring

I only summoned in a single circle then stopped afterwards to save orbs.. So my results are:
Maribelle as my free summon during previous banner.
Then.. I got a Fallen Robin (M) in this fates banner on my 3rd summon in the circle.
That's about it.

No one can outspeed Lloyd, since he has 29 speed in HHM by default, unless mine glitch is allowed.
With Uber Spear, any Lance user with at least 24 speed (while not weighted down) can actually outspeed Lloyd:
Marcus, Kent, Sain, Lowen, Wallace, Oswin, Vaida, Farina and Fiora can outspeed Lloyd just with capped speed and Uber Spear equipped. Eliwood and Florina requires body rings in addition to the spear.
Just imagine Oswin doubling Lloyd, what a sight to behold.

Why did you have Sol Katti in your inventory?
It's the only weapon that can kill the dragon that LYN has plus it's so she can defend herself in close combat as bows can't attack enemies 1 tile away from them
So uh, never noticed it before, but Lyn’s normal attack with Sol gives her jiggle physics…. Idk WHY they did that, but the fact that they did on a sprite based GBA title is kind of impressive? Definitely a weird flex at the least…
