If the Chinese girls hit the routines the only entertaining thing would be “who gets the bronze? Start competition!!!!” Literally nobody can come even close to the Chinese girls in difficulty and execution.
Well last year it was supposed to be Qiu Qiyuan and ou Yushan in the final and then instead it was Zhou Yaqin and Zhang Qingying. Here we see today that Qiu Qiyuan missed and Zhang Qingying got a score beatable by Simone and maybe Suni. Only Simone and Zhou Yaqin are consistent so I’d say they are still the favorites for gold/silver, not Qiu
@@Plaspos The American girls aren’t consistent either. Maybe Shi is, the rest aren’t. And Shi still can’t catch the Chinese girls if they hit their routines.
Chinese gymnasts learn technique first, then they learn the actual skills. That’s why everything on beam looks so deliciously technically perfect. Lines, toes, shapes, everything
@@pedrojorge1912 i mean her switch half isn’t always at 180 but maybe it will get better and better… and yes anyone failing to hit a simple split on floor at this level is sad
I don't know how much this technique is valued in the current code of points, but I really want to see Chinese athletes bring back their predecessors' iconic sheep jump one day.
What a fantastic performance, showing nerves of steel, absolute resolution and total control after every element, displaying true mastery of the most treacherous apparatus in women’s gymnastics.
Well lets be real China has been stars and beam and bars forever. They have always struggled more on the power events. They really do exceptionally beautiful work on both beam and bars!
@@erinames7783 They've really been UB and BB powerhouses, the thing is, for a long time they haven't showed the consistency level they've been showing lately, specially with Zhou and Qiu.
From a MAG judge here: This is stunning….only one of the leaps she could have a slightly better extension and of course she could go without the landing deduction, but I could not falter her in anything else. This is an Olympic routine for a medal… Well done, Yaqin.
Maybe I'm alone in my opinion, but I miss the days of tumbling and acrobatics on the beam. The focus of today's beam routines is jumps in combinations, although extremely difficult to execute, the dynamics and wow factor have greatly diminished.
I don’t. Excessive tumbling turns beam into a somersault competition. This is a more balanced approach where finesse , precision and balance are required to excel.
Stunning. That side somersault to the connection jumps was absolutely divine. Issue with the ring leap and dismount. Chinese are always so good on beam, but can she hit when it counts?
Very precise and clean She looks really young because if she is shes going to be a scary competitor. As you you can see her dismount is not as difficult but she clearly can make up for it in other areas of her routine. Her leaps were jaw dropping and flexibility is amazingly good
She can win even with 7.5 E-score, that would be a 14.700 routine, she would only be threatened by the other Chinese girl, Qiyuan who has a 7.0 D-score
@@tambam6744No they aren’t overscored. Maybe sometimes they give the connection when they shouldn’t, but China seems to have learned the lesson in Tokyo and the gymnasts have worked on their connections it looks. Love the beautiful form the chinese have. But they are inconsistent and you never know which team will show up, the soectacular one or the inconsistent one.
Increíble pero he visto documentales que desde pequeñas las apartan de su familia y los entrenamientos no son entrenamientos sino torturas por la forma en que las entrenan
She’s not a goat on beam. The only thing that’s worth in her beam routine is her dismount and she hasn’t competed it since the Tokyo qualifications. All the rest are nothing special that a level 10 gymnast can’t learn to perform.
I'm reresponding to a comment. I know a triple full is difficult. I know because I've done them myself way back then lol. Her unbeatable difficulty could include a full double or perhaps one day a double double like SB
She has 16 skills + mount + dismount so basically 18 in total 😝. If anyone else tries 18 skills they’ll have a 6.0 execution score maximum lol probably even less with multiple falls 😂
@@comosedice6104what are you trying to say? almost in every competition she loses 0.1/0.2 on the dismount, and most of the time for big steps, she has great height and almost never a chest down
The peaking thing is an american thing, and tbh it has to do with "medication" they are taking to induce focus and endurance without getting noticed by drug tests. The rest of the world doesn't work with "peaking", look at the Brazilian girls, the Chinese, Kaylia, gymnasts in the European championship which is on May....A gymnast who is ready and well trained and she's at her peak won't start going down, losing her peak, 3 months before the Olympics, unless it has to do with the right dosage of "medication"....

Wasn’t that great?
She killed this routine. Elegance, grace, athleticism, and very near perfection!!! ♥️ Give this lady nothing but exotic flowers 💐
She's magnificent. Glorious work.
Zhou Yaqin is a fabulous gymnast. She so calm, grounded and does her work with a profound inner peace.

Sheep jump have been devalued so the Chinese are no longer doing it.
Sheep jump downgraded from d to c. Such a shame, one of the best elements on beam for me

Молодец!!!Классное выступление!!! 👍👏🌷
Who would have thought that this quad's highest scoring events would be beam and bars... and that China would be the one to beat on both. Insane

Hardly any wobble at all ! Perfect 🎉👍
Wow, if she could land that dismount better, that would be something like a 15.7 or 15.8!!!!! Incredible.
She seemed so light & delicate. Really exceptional.
Its going to be a very interesting olympics this year.
