2024 US Classic Championship Winning Routines

- These are the championship-winning routines on each event (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, & floor exercise) from the Core Hydration US Classic on May 18, 2024.
The US Classic featured the returns of Olympians such as Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Gabby Douglas, Jade Carey, & Jordan Chiles, world champions such as Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong, Kayla DiCello, Skye Blakely, & Joscelyn Roberson, and promising newcomers such as Kaliya Lincoln & Tiana Sumanasekera.
Note: To be in contention for the vault title, a gymnast must do 2 separate vaults with 2 different entries. Simone Biles, for instance, had the highest scoring vault of the competition but only competed 1 vault, so she was not in the running for a vault medal at this competition.

I love it and if suni gets it together we can use her for bars and beam. I can simone,suni and shilese
it's a great routine but the 8.75 E score is exceedingly generous, judges at OGs and WCs are likely much harsher

I love Simone’s beam mount using the springboard. It looks as if she just casually steps on to it and begins the magic that is Simone.
Shilese's first release on the bars was amazing!! Suni's mount is what I have been begging to be brought back on the beam. So happy also to see Jordan back and doing her thang!!

And her floor routine!! Omg it was BEAUTIFUL! Yeah she had a lot of errors, but she can easily clean those up and have a very good scoring floor as a backup for USA. Her bars and beam are so needed and we KNOW she can get a DTY as a backup for vault

At this point the highest scoring team looks like Simone (all 4 events), Shilese (all 4 events), Jade (vault and floor), Suni (bars and beam), and Jordan (back up all around + vault over Shilese if she gets her cheng)

I never really got into gymnastics, but I'm hooked now! These girls are phenomenal. Simone is the truth! The GOAT! I 😘 ved watching the other girls as well. The 3 for sure going to Paris I believe is Simone, Shalise, and Jordan. Job well done to all the athletes ❤️❤️
OMG, Simone is a force to be reckon with. She leave one speechless from the start of her floor routine to the ending. She wears her skin tone of greatness well. Bravo!!!!!

No offense but black athletes always push the talent to the next level. Pretty soon (in all sports in with they compete), the floor looks more brown and black than the original pink.

Shilese and Simone are unquestionably locked. Jade is very reliable on vault. This is the only Cheng besides Simone in the US.
Jocelyn has been doing a cheng for a year now. And Addison Fatta, Skye, and Jordan are training chengs.

@@user-dv7vr5jl4xJoscelyn’s Cheng is nowhere near the quality of Jade’s. Jade gets much more height and distance, not to mention her form and landings are always better as well. Jade is also much stronger and can score higher on floor as well, which is what we saw last night. Jade outscored Joscelyn on every event.
Yea Ik I was just saying that jade isn’t the only one besides Simone doing a cheng. Although hers is the second best in the country for sure

Honestly it’s Simone, Shilese, and Jade in lock right now. We all know Jade is about to throw the Moors and front full to double double, and even without that she is a great asset. Suni isn’t a lock yet until we see bars but seems likely. Fifth person could be a number of people but I’d bet Jordan

I agree ! ... in my opinion the team will be Simone, Shalise, Jade, Jordan, Suni...Simone and Shalise are a lock on the all-around. The 3rd all-around slot is the battle between Jade, Jordan, and Suni ( assuming Suni can do bars at the US championship). Whoever is the most consistent out of the 3 in the next 2 events in all 4 disciplines will be the 3rd all-arounder - with other 2 being specialists. I know they all want it !

@@lalareal180she’s consistent. Jade won American Classic with 55.0 AA, has more upgrades coming on floor, 2022 world champion on vault with a well executed Cheng, Olympic champion on floor. She is also besting herself over last year by 3 points and has a usable beam and bars if called on. Her direct competition is Joscelyn Roberson and Josc has lots of form issues. Joscelyn can only be used on 3 events if called on and will have a low D score. Jade has medals Joscelyn doesn’t. Full stop
I think at this point Simone and Shi are the only locks right now.
Jade’s floor quality has to come back (which I think she can do it) for her to make it, IMO.
I think if we see Suni’s full bar set she’s a lock, and that fifth spot could go to a handful of gymnasts. Jordan, Kayla, Leanne, Etc.
What's crazy is that Jade threw that Cheng out of nowhere. She wasn't supposed to compete it. She did not train it in practice or podium leading up to the competition. She threw that shit ice cold and executed it well. That in itself should tell y'all not to count her out. Imagine how it would have looked if she had been training it all weekend.

@@omglauraelizabeth Jade and her dad are pacing her nicely. When she is at her peak, she is only second to Simone with respect to vaulting and tumbling. NO DTY will outscore Jade's Cheng when she is ready.

@@omglauraelizabeth Rebeca without doubt has a superior Cheng but Jade is second to no one in the US other than Simone when it comes to vaulting and when it comes to tumbling she is second to NO ONE in the WORLD other than Simone.

Man, I wish Simone would train her double double beam dismount as a big F- you to the fig. Her double double was as good as her full -in dismount.
What you saw here and what she will perform in Paris will be a bit different. You don't seriously think Simone will show EVERYTHING at this meet do you? I think Simone will perform every one of her named skills in Paris.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 agreed. I want her to do the same, however unlike the rest of her skills, the double double is so horrendously undervalued and usually landed with a low chest I’m not sure whether it would be worth it. Either way never underestimate the brilliance of Simone biles

Triple Double, Double Layout 1/2 Out, Front Full Through to Double Double and Double Layout. That is one Difficult Floor Routine! She would have gotten over a 15.0 had she stayed in bounds.
And she will. She usually performs best in finals

There are SO MANY AMAZING US Womans Elite Gymnasts this year, I would absooutely hate having to decide at trials who is going. Obviously Simone Bile but wow...I can't even narrow it down to my top 5 right now, just spectacular! I amd gonna be heartbroken no matter who is chosen, so impressed and proud of all of them!
PS...Some of you in the comments are heavily underestimating a few people...Keep in mind this was only Classics....there is a LOT more competition coming

Simona / Shi🎉 two locked All Arounder Jade （Vault and Floor，potentially Beam in Qualification Around） Suni （Beam and Bars for sure） Jordan obviously can be the third Aaer as long as she keeps this consistency. Hopefully Jordan could update her vault to raise her possibility ❤
Jordan has been training a cheng so that could hopefully help give her a chance at being an all rounder

Never saw Kaliya Lincoln before. Beautiful leaps and great tumbling. Was impressed. How are her other events?
I think she has the typical DTY and isn’t the greatest on bars and honestly I can’t remember her on beam so honestly as much as I love her I don’t see her making it on the team

A decent DTY is rare anymore, so that would probably make it an asset.
I don't think she's really in the mix for these Olympics, but is certainly one to watch. She has beautiful form (and reminds me of Gabby!)

Fifth: Chiles if she can stay consistent. She has shown she can in high pressure situations. But if we really needed someone on Floor that’s an up and coming powerhouse.. I gotta go Lincoln.
Shilese's bar routine. Wow! This will be America's first dominant bars athlete.
Think shilese and Simone locked in. Jordan maybe too since she’s pretty consistent all around and already an Olympian. It’ll be good to have someone reliable on all apparatuses. Jade maybe to boost points for vault and floor.
Jordan is clutch. I mean you cannot send a replacement for everyone but if Suni is on that team, that team needs Jordan for the team scores for security. She's too good to be thrown in as alt. She needs to be on the actual team. She's strong, resilient, and very consistent.
Trinity did not deserve that bars score. Way too many errors for an 8.6 E. Same for Suni on beam. The international judges will not be so kind.

I am not an expert but I wonder if college gymnasts who have become accustomed to high scores have a reality check in competition outside of college.

Actually, Shilese can learn the ending from Hezly Rivera and Angela Andreoli after switch 1/1 to make sure it's credited. If she does a front layout, she doesn't even need to do a split full jump (no fear of credit).

Como a jordan pode ser útil na equipe do USA? Simone e shilese fazem 4 rotina, suni trave e barras, jade salto e solo. A jordan foi bem, porém ela não parece necessário neste grupo de estrela. Talvez seria mais interessante levar uma especialista, mas quem?
The same way that Leanne was useful at worlds when joscelyn was injured - Jordan can go up on any event and provide a good score as well do the all around in qualification as a backup Incase shilese or Simone have errors and don’t make it to the all around.

Afaik, the E-score tiebreak rule is only used for international comps

She only did one vault, so she didn't put herself in contention. You need one vault for the all-around, but two to be a vault medalist.

Gabby had a disaster on bars and then pulled out of the rest of the competition.
Gabby fell on bars and decided to withdraw from the competition… I hope she goes to championship will see though
