"I am not your failure Obi-Wan"
"You didn't kill Anikin Skywalker. I did"
That is without a doubt Anikin's last vestiges of love for Obi-Wan telling him to forgive himself.
He knows he was lost. He bears it with a great pain
@@vkm9909 o cara foi responder a um ingles em portugues kkkk
its more, that he is proud of who he has become and doesnt want to give obi wan the credit for making him. Anakin is Cocky and arrogant, theres no way hed let obi wan think hes responsible. this is early vader, there is no good in him
@@Thomriddle113 exactly. Good only slightly returned once he found out he had a son
The negotiator himself I believe is the greatest Jedi to have lived. He was not the most powerful, but he was brave and strong. He did not succumb to the lure of power but kept to the virtue of doing right by others, by Anakin, Padme, Satine, Luke, Leia. He endured pain and suffering but unlike Anakin and Maul, he did not let that pain destroy him. Yet another great tribute my friend. May the force be with you.
Damn, wish I could upvote this, but the like count is 66 and we all know that’s the sacred Star Wars number
Did you put homegirl from Moulin Rouge in the list
@@greghohenberger3185 clone wars. But yea I was laughing about it as well.
Very well said.
"This is Obi-Wan Kenobi:
A phenomenal pilot who doesn't like to fly. A devastating warrior who'd rather not fight. A negotiator without peer whofrankly prefers to sit alone in a quiet cave and meditate. Jedi Master. General in the Grand Army of the Republic. Member of the Jedi Council. And yet, inside, he feels like he's none of these things.
Inside, he still feels like a Padawan.
It is a truism of the Jedi Order that a Jedi Knight's education truly begins only when he becomes a Master: that everything important about being a Master is learned from one's student.
Obi-Wan feels the truth of this every day.
He sometimes dreams of when he was a Padawan in fact as well as feeling; he dreams that his own Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, did not die at the plasma-fueled generator core in Theed. He dreams that his Master's wise guiding hand is still with him. But Qui-Gon's death is an old pain, one with which he long ago came to terms.
A Jedi does not cling to the past.
And Obi-Wan Kenobi knows, too, that to have lived his life without being Master to Anakin Skywalker would have left him a different man. A lesser man.
Anakin has taught him so much.
Obi-Wan sees so much of Qui-Gon in Anakin that sometimes it hurts his heart; at the very least, Anakin mirrors Qui-Gon's flair for the dramatic, and his casual disregard for rules. Training Anakin-and fighting beside him, all these years-has unlocked something inside Obi-Wan. It's as though Anakin has rubbed off on him a bit, and has loosened that clenched-jaw insistence on absolute correctness that Qui-Gon always said was his greatest flaw. Obi-Wan Kenobi has learned to relax. He smiles now, and sometimes even jokes, and has become known for the wisdom gentle humor can provide. Though he does not know it, his relationship with Anakin has molded him into the great Jedi Qui-Gon always said he might someday be. It is characteristic of Obi-Wan that he is entirely unaware of this.
Being named to the Council came as a complete surprise; even now, he is sometimes astonished by the faith the Jedi Council has in his abilities, and the credit they give to his wisdom. Greatness was never his ambition. He wants only to perform whatever task he is given to the best of his ability. He is respected throughout the Jedi Order for his insight as well as his warrior skill. He has become the hero of the next generation of Padawans; he is the Jedi their Masters hold up as a model. He is the being that the Council assigns to their most important missions. He is modest, centered, and always kind.
He is the ultimate Jedi.
And he is proud to be Anakin Skywalker's best friend."
- Revenge of the Sith Novelization by Matthew Stover
"I'm Sorry, Anakin... For *ALL OF IT."* - Obi-wan kenobi.
Ewan acting the shit out of this scene
This line made me bawl my eyes out
Bruh I started crying when I heard that
The story itself was not original, but it wasn´t meant to be original. It was meant to be an emotional rollercoaster with huge character development set in a galaxy far away, where such stories are a rarety. And indeed after much critics on the first episodes we, the fabs where able to find reasons to love the series, the rage we saw vader use, the reva vs vader fight( wich was a bit original and character developing at the same time) and the last match between vader and obi wich ended in an emotional loss for obi. Only a glimmer of old hope flikkering away in the endless darkness that was vader. Only luke, when he would come at age would be a new hope, the new hope, but for that to be. obi had to accept that the force had a plan and he as a jedi had to let go off the old jediways. Only then he would find solace with his past and would be in balance with himself. That itself is the biggest achievement a jedi could go for and that makes obi wan a true jedi. He was the master the jedi needed in this time of need. To become allfather off all jedi to come. The figure that all jedk strife for.
He was afraid of facing Anakin again at first but then decided enough was enough and he faced his fears and while he didn't kill him. My first impression of the "You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker" was "I made my own choices, its not your fault" I thought that was Anakin(Good) coming out, as a way of showing there's still a soul left but its buried. Obi-wan doesn't believe he can be saved at this point but after everything and well this meeting, he has a right to feel this way. He isn't privy to Vader's thoughts and such.
A painful ending for the show but I think it hits the right note, Obi-wan conquered his fear.
You make something out of these movies that is beyond words, im such a big fan of your work. It's like you capture the feelings and emotions that are important perfectly and even amplify them with the music
This is a fact
Literally
Exactly
dude calm down
@@IlViciouslI why🧍♀️
“Like you trained his father” hits so damn hard.
"Only a sith deals in *ABSOLUTES,* I will do... *WHAT I MUST."* - Obi-wan Kenobi.
That always bugged me!
Him immediately going and drawing his saber is tantamount to the same thing it's not dealing in an absolute but it implies "then it's my way"
Heyyy shut up
czcams.com/video/B4zwh26kP8o/video.html
"Only a sith **DEALS** in absolutes, I will do what I must."
He is saying only a sith leaves no room for negotiation in response to Anakin telling him "if you're not with me, then you're my enemy."
"I have failed you, Anakin. I have failed you."
"I am not your failure, Obi-Wan. You didn't kill Anakin Skywalker. I did."
These 2 lines are the most beautiful and heartbreaking of all of the lines spoken between these former brothers.
Obi wan fed into the deception of anakin and reaped what he sowed.
my respect for obi wan will never die as literally everything happened to this man but he never went down the dark side
man, that hello there at the end got me smiling like a child again, fucking beautiful video as always man!
I am not your failure, Obi Wan.
Those words mean everything.
If you think of it, him saying “hello there.” also come as one of his character development in the story, which makes it not just a simple fan service.
I cry everytime I watch this!
An incredible character whom both deserved so much more than he got whilst simultaneously believing himself not to deserve anything. This tribute was brilliant.
I've kept this aside for months to watch when I finished both The Clone Wars and Kenobi. I'm so glad I did. I'd never really cared much for star wars compared to other franchises but watching the friendship and brotherhood forged between these two crumble in episode 3 and kenobi, it's such a rough watch for me. Thanks for the video, it was the cathartic release of these feelings that I was after.
Vader: I am not your failure, Obi Wan. You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker… I did
Kenobi: Then my friend is truly dead
“One last fight…” Bail 2022, this actually hits harder knowing all their pain…
Honestly brought me to tears. Fucking love obi wan
As someone in recovery for addiction and alcoholism I love Star Wars. I cried in all of this cause it’s like alcoholism is the dark side and sobriety is the Jedi. I just want my family to be proud
An absolute masterpiece. Thank you Slyfer, for years of nothing but greatness, and for being one of my biggest inspirations in video editing. Your fine work is, and always will be deeply appreciated.
I absolutely loved this show, especially the final episode, glad to see that you made something beautiful out of it.
This might just be the one of the best Star wars edits I have ever seen everyone saying they didn't like the show look at this it's a masterpiece and I'm so glad we got the magic that we felt in the prequels again
When obi one ask for guidance and a war veteran ask him for help. That was brilliant. Life has a way to do that.
Why did they war veteran betray they Jedi since Vader and they galaxy didn't care
When I heard the Samuel Kim version of the theme song I almost cried. My favorite version hands down. Beautiful work as always
This. Is. A. MASTERPIECE. All my childhood in 4 minutes… Thank you.
Obi-Wan and Qui Gon are two of the greatest Jedi to of ever lived imo.
“Emotional damage”
I always love your videos but this one particularly hits the spot as it combines the nostalgia I felt (and still feel) with the pain from the new series. Can’t really put it into words, I’m not a native speaker, but this edit is beautiful and you did a wonderful job. Obiwan will always be my favorite jedi, and you did him justice!
And remember, this is no ordinary Jedi. Kenobi is the last ember of a dying age!
"Grand Inquisitor"
OMG. I have no words. This is hands down the best Obi-Wan edit I've ever seen!! The music, scenes, and dialogue are all seamlessly and beautifully incorporated. Fantastic work, thank you so much for creating this amazing video.
I'm not crying, it's just a lightsaber in my eye..
Fantastic video.
A big fan of the track I’ve used it before too! Amazing work!!!
THE ENDING?? BESTIE IM CRYING
Broken down. So broken down and rusted Obi-Wan was in silence and in isolation. But in this adventure, he began to realize the importance of his role: an inspiration to the next generation who may or will fight the good fight. To bring in a new hope. At the end, Kenobi realizes he’s never alone and will always look out for Luke. He did. He really did.
4:32 I literally screamed “HE SAID IT!” When I first watched this scene
Nah, your literally the best at doing these, I watch many mixes that people create, but your work separates you of all of them, without disrespecting everyone else’s work of course, you make the words they say actually hit/feel you and perfect with every scene, keep putting in work! Love from Puerto Ricooo!
Everything you make just tugs at the heart strings! Just pure magic. Thank you for all the love and hard work you put into these.
Absolutely killer, this is amazing really captured all the emotions when I think of his story
Although I'm not a big fan of the series, this was impeccable. The best star wars video out there right now. The connections you made throughout the video with the past and present were amazing, as well was the music. Masterful work again.
I love this edit so much. It captures the energy and beauty of the prequels, original trilogy, and the obi-wan kenobi series. I just love this edit so much, keep up the good work Slyfer!
Great job as always man. I honestly have no idea how you get these edits out so fast.
I think he works with the trailer first then when the episode come out he edited them
The moment a series outshines the last three Star Wars 😅
Obi-Wan kenobi is the most heroic and loyal Jedi that iv seen.
You are insanely skilled. Your videos make me feel such intense emotion and they really elevate whatever media you are representing. Thank you so much for this!
It was said the chosen one would change the world, but maybe his master was the real hero
Crying my heart outright. At work, it's meal time; best break of my life.
Thank you, for all of it.
by far the best kenobi tribute
After suffering so much obi wan never turned to the dark side, he is my motivation to do good with others no matter how much they hurt me.
Just think how we could all together change our neighborhoods, our world if we all lived with this integrity and honor. We may not have light sabers , not all of us lol, but we do have kindness tempered with strength. May the force be with you.
The transition to a dual of fates is beyond incredible, such an underrated channel
The music choice is absolute perfection. The flow of it with the dialogue is poetic as always Slyfar. Great job!
Best Jedi to ever live
I knew you’d make something amazing. I just didn’t realise how much of a masterpiece you could make it. 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing edit. It's hard to imagine a better story than the one you created here. Brilliant and outstanding.
I just realized the most amazing thing about this is you must have made this in one day, that's an incredible deep passion. I'm glad to have witnessed it and to have realized that, because I think that thought might have gone under the radar especially if I had not seen the episode until later.
the chills when duel of the fates kicks in is insane!! great job...
That " HELLO THERE " wil always be 🙌🙌🙌🙌
So the memories of the time you spent with this man’s children gives you the strength to defeat him?
WHAT????? WHAAAAT???? THIS IS INSANE! WHY BREAKING MY HEART LIKE THIS???? OMG THIS IS SO GOOD I CAN’T STOP CRYING
My favourite Star Wars character. A legendary and iconic Jedi.
holy shit the goosebumps got out of control here
AMAZING as always ... music is chosen so well omg, ill rewatch it like 10 times
"i will do what I must"
Loved it, nicely done! Man, Obi-Wan has been through so much, and yet he found a way back to himself and the Force. He's my favorite jedi ever.
Obi wan is my favorite hero of all time.
The learner has become the master. When we think of Obi-Wan, we picture Ewan McGregor first - not Alec Guinness.
This is a REALLY good cut. I love it.
honestly one of the best tributes i have seen! you always do amazing work!! keep it up! for sure a tear jerker in parts. the pain, the happy feelings, everything was done to perfection.
You truly have the high ground with this one. Unbeatable!
anakin owed him an apology.
You deserve an Oscar for editing! Absolutely love it!
Your tributes mean very much for us Fans, thank you Master. May the force be with you - Always.
When I know I will have a rough day I watch your Sherlock Holmes, Star Wars and Harry Potter Tribute and prepare for today
Obi-Wan Kenobi, a life of serivce...
All these movies and characters you make videos for, they owe you a lot. You bring a level of appreciation that we couldn’t reach otherwise. Great work, as always. Bravo, mio amico. Bravo!
As always, such a great video. You really have a amazing talent making these. It's just the way you capture the right moments in movies/shows it's quite amazing
Obi wan is my favorite character for every part of star wars he was in whether it be the prequels, original, clone wars tv show, Kenobi tv show or his brief appearance in Rebels. He truly exemplifies what a Jedi should be
Perfection, the score and the clips are amazing. Watching it again like this, i came to work out vader let obi wan live the first time, "now you will suffer" allowing him to live to make him watch what he would do and constantly looking over his shoulder was much more revenge than simply killing him.........
Never ceases to instill emotion into the audience, once again well done slyfer
This is such a great show. I can"t believe Disney made it!
The first three episodes (of obi-wan) needed the emotional snippets you masterfully put into these. Amazing job :) as always.
Your work is remarkable. Finding a new reel with your tag attached under my feed is like finding a newly discovered flower never seen before. Keep it up. Can’t wait to see what blooms next. May the force be with you
This never gets old. and, always hits in the feels. Great job with this edit!
You did amazing capturing Obi-Wan, his pain and guilt were strongly felt
The "hello there" at the end was perfect. Great edit.
This ended up in my recommendations and I love what you did. Obi-Wan is my favorite SW character, you actually made me tear up. This is perfection 🥰 You captured every emotion
This was awesome!!! You did an amazing job with the cutting and the music! It was perfect!!
Oh Slyfer, I watch so many of your vids and am moved by all of them, but this has just completely taken the cake. This was just STUNNING. The cuts between the fights alone was just perfect. Thank you so much for making this, I think I'll be watching it over and over for a long time to come!
I’m telling you. Best editor on CZcams.
Boy you the goat! Thank you for your consistency and creative ability to show the heart of the characters we love!! Salute 🫡
Such great interweaving of the various movies and shows. I especially like how you blended the light sabre duals from ROTS and Obi-Wan.
this is amazing!!! oh my gosh i have been watching so many edits of the kenobi show but none have made me emotional like this one. your music choice was fantastic--i actually was on the edge of my seat even though i've seen all of these scenes. and the editing and the voice-overs?? absolutely cinematic and awe-inspiring. just, wow. i'm definitely going to come back to this video
He won’t let me down, he never has 😭
Genuinely beautiful and emotional editing - superb job
Wonderful as always. Not the first time, and undoubtedly not the last, one of your videos has made me emotional.
This is my favorite video of Obi-Wan (who's also my favorite character). It's beautiful and you truly do him justice!
the andor edit is gonna be phenomenal
The 3:15 mark is right about where every hair on the back of your neck stands up
This is beautiful! These kind of videos are great to watch, especially after something like episode 6 of Kenobi. Great job!
What a fantastic video, I got chills when the second half started. As always you make some amazing videos!
Your work is nothing less than breathtaking! Great work! Makes me glad to be alive.
God, man. These are always so good. Giving me chills and hitting me in the feels and shit. Good work, man. As always. May the Force be with you, my friend.
The Kenobi series is my single favorite piece of Star Wars media.... and that includes the Christmas Special!
