Terrible accident to see, Stephen was trampled on by several horses and he was very lucky to survive this mishap. Did he do any more driving or decide to call it a day.
Terrible accident but the sportmanship of the other drivers trying to catch the loose horses the outriders couldnt get is hearwarming. Ive been drivers drive with one hand and lead the other horse with the other.

They are called outriders, they are so important to harness racing. I was in harness racing in Canada driving thousands of races and I have seen hundreds of times they have saved peoples lives and horses lives.
I worked at a harness racing barn and have been around horses for almost 20 years. It looked from th3 video like a jockey. I know how important outriders are.

He had some broken bones but survived. I think he’s long dead now.

A google check confirms that the driver, Stephen J Ward survived his heart attack. He later died 2012.

According to Animal Planet's show Untamed and Uncut, a show that showed shocking footage of animal encounters gone seriously wrong, the jockey ended up being okay from that ordeal.
