- Welp, a new RV came with a new griddle! A Capital Griddle, a brand I have never heard of or used, BUT, after seasoning and the first couple uses, this bad boy is an awesome griddle. Check out the seasoning steps in the video and comment if you have any questions. #griddleseasoning #griddle #campinggriddle
I definitely pay attention to my oil when I’m cooking indoors, but less attention outdoors
I use a doubled-over pice of heavy-duty foil and use it as a wind block. I can move it to what ever side it is windy on. Cheep and easy!
will you be reviewing the newBlackstone e series 22inch
I have a 2 burner model and the wind is giving me problems as well. Any reason that I can’t pop this in the oven and season in there?
Hello, I got the capital griddle but is not connected to the trailer, is there any way you could tell me how the griddle is connected to the gas?
I just can't find the correct connection for it.
Thanks
Eduardo
Not sure if you figured this out yet…you have a line at the back of the griddle and then a gas quick connect under the camper. Run the line to the connection and be sure to turn that connection on (it should be a small valve).
Our new rv has a one burner Capital
Dont use microfiber!!!
Actually, the 1 burner model is crap. It has 1 fire bar across some of the length of the griddle top that can only heat ~2" on each side of it. The rest doesn't get above 220F. And, even in the "hot zone" once you put food on it to cook, the temperature drops from the 400's to low 300's and lower where the food is. And the outer area never gets hot enough to do anything.
I agree with you, the 1 burner Capital Griddle is only good for the garbage@@lesleyfitzpatrick1711
My new camper came with the same Capitol Griddle. By any chance have you found foil drip trays that will fit that drip tray? I measured it to be 2.5" wide by 4.75" long.
No, but you can just line it with aluminum foil. Do you have the same burner system and how is that working for you?
I looked and definitely cannot find aluminum pan this small! Guess we will have to use foil...I know it doesn't fit well in my tray as well.
