Here is a link for the e-book. Right now it's only $10. Thank you so much for watching. www.johnnybrunet.com/product/complete-beginners-guide-to-griddling/
I bought it but accidentally left the page without downloading it. How do I get back to it??
Hi Johnny. I'm in Canada and when I try to purchase it, it keeps saying something wrong with the address and doesn't let me purchase it. Since it's an e-book why would it matter about my address. Can you clarify?
Thanks Johnny. I ended up using Apple pay and it worked. Looks great. We got snow here in Canada on April 19 and with a new grill waiting to be used I'm super anxious. I'll check out your book and be ready when I can hit the griddle.
@@1962pgb hey just saw this. I'm sorry I don't know why it didn't work initially but I'm glad apple pay worked. Thank you so much for buying it I really appreciate it. And congratulations on the new griddle you'll love it! We just got snow in Ohio yesterday, I don't know what's going on! It's ok though we'll all be making fries rice and smash burgers soon enough.
Hi Johnny. I ordered the ebook accidentally twice. I don’t need it twice How can I get a refund for one?
Literally the best guy to talk about this. Drink beer, do the bare minimum that produces premium results, and is a no bullshit guy. Subbed.
Thanks man I'm glad you like the videos. I feel the beer is the most important part 😁
Dude, I know this video is a year old and you probably won’t see this but I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic video this was on grilling. Never been a grilling guy although I’m looking at getting a flat top and trying my hand at it, your explanations were fantastic and I love the snap shot you had of the temperature gradients that you use and what to cook on them..super helpful.
Hey thanks so much for watching and for the kind words. I'm glad you found it helpful and I hope you get a flat top I love mine. I have all sorts of videos on temp control, cleaning, maintenance, ext.... So if you get one don't hesitate to ask a question and Id be happy to answer. I try my best to answer all comments. Have a good one.
@startingoverat5722 couldn't have said it better myself.
@@amp2193 thanks, glad you liked it as well.
Cool video my brothers keep flat topin lol😂❤
Yes last year I bought one because of him😊❤
BEST tutorial on Blackstone on YT. Thanks
You're welcome and thanks for watching. Good looking dog! My wife and I have a 16 year old jack Russel.
Thanks, this was Gracie. She was a Beagle/Jack mix and a very smart girl. Always got comments on her and how beautiful she was. She was with me for 16 wonderful years and I still miss her. @@JohnnyBrunet
@@smoothandchunky1 I bet she was great. I'm sorry she passed. Sounds like you were very lucky to have her in your life. Thanks for sharing. I need to hug our Murphy today and appreciate him while I can.
The intro said it all, an hour long meeting that could be summed up in a ten minute email. Hence why I try to drink beer as often as possible.
Haha me too Tommy, just working for the weekend. Thanks for watching buddy.

People with a narcissistic and self aggrandizing personality gravitate toward management positions. They love to hear themselves talk and think every word is pivotal on the success of whoever and whatever they manage. Truth is... about 5% to 10% is worth a $hit the rest is their self inflating ego. This is just the facts of living in a cubicle farm.
You’re my new favorite CZcamsr!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate you watching.
Thank you for this. Just got my first blackstone and been watching videos. Temps are the one thing no one ever talks about in their videos. These were the exact things I was wondering about. Got a sub from me.
Congratulations on the new griddle and thanks for subbing.
Love you man, drink all day Love it! Don't forget the cigar brother
Thanks brother, and that's a good idea, I definitely need to get a cigar in one of these videos.
Man here making a fantastic informative video not beating around the bush, while drinking a beer and wearing a Buckeyes shirt. Easy sub all day!
Thanks so much! I always appreciate the support from a fellow buckeye.
This video is jam up. Good info, good timing, good comedy. Fantastic
Thanks so much I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate you watching.
Glad you dropped the Bud Light or you'd have to reshoot the whole video. LOL
Your videos are awesome. I learn 2x as much from your 10 min videos than I have with anyone else's 20 min videos. Keep going, never stop.
Thanks Jared I'm so glad that they're helpful because that's my goal. I really appreciate you watching man. Cheers 🍻
All new griddle owners need a ‘Griddle with Johnny’ crash course. I know it helped me for sure, thanks Johnny!
Thanks for the positive reference Patrick!
You are my spirit animal.
Lol thanks! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m 28 and my younger cousin surprised me with a black stone griddle for my birthday. I couldn’t have been more shocked because all I expected from the guy was a handshake.
Well anyway your videos will really help me pay him back. And the “check your ego” attitude you have is wonderful. Need more people like you.
Thanks and keep cookin!
That's awesome that's a very nice gift from your cousin. I think some smash burgers or cheese steaks would be a great way to pay him.
And thanks so much I'm glad you like the videos and the style I present them in. I really appreciate you watching.
I like the vibe, simple and concise instructions, and most importantly for me some humor
Thanks so much Jeof.
By far most enjoyable video I seen on prepping the griddle. Good work man
Thanks Jo I'm glad you liked it.
Concise and beneficial explanation. God bless you!

Congratulations on the new griddle Alan. Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad that you and your wife enjoy them. And I appreciate you watching.
I cooked in a restaurant for a few years, I don come back to our Channel for accuracy or tips usually. However you are spot on man and I’ve leaned some things I didn’t know. Your beer comments are so much like me it’s amusing, also I see your surroundings and realize your just a normal dude and I got to support that. Keep it up man great channel
Thanks I really appreciate you supporting me and watching the channel. Also gotta love another guy who knows the importance of staying hydrated! Cheers buddy 🍻
Just had my 4 burner Blackstone delivered and found your videos. Thanks so much for making things simple and easy to understand. Look forward to getting the e-book and to checking out all of your videos.
Congratulations on the new griddle Rib! You're welcome for the videos thank you so much for watching them. I hope they're helpful and if you ever have questions don't hesitate to ask I'm happy to answer them. My first set of advice is make sure you grab a 6 pack for the seasoning process. It takes about an hour so you'll need to stay hydrated. 😁🍻
Found this channel and love the delivery and low key humor (and the information too). Ordered a griddle through a liquidation website, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I see it before next Christmas.
Thanks so much! Jabba the Catt is an amazing name btw. I'm really glad you like the channel and find it helpful. Also I hear you about the liquidation thing lol. I've don't that before too, there's some great prices but you just don't know when you'll get it.
Finally getting my first Blackstone grill here in a couple days. Loved your video on seasoning! Very entertaining and informative. Thanks for helping me get prepared!
Hey Bobby congrats on the new griddle and thanks so much for watching I'm glad you liked it.
The color of the cooked side of that pan cake sold me.
Thanks Joel glad you liked the video. Sometimes the camera makes the pancakes look better than they are but I'll still take a compliment when I get one hahaha. I appreciate you watching man.

Just won my first griddle, being delivered today. Excellent video my friend. Not only fantastic information, but delivered in great fashion. Removes a ton a apprehensions built up while waiting for it. Buying your ebook as a show of appreciation for you posting. Thanks so much Leo I appreciate you watching.
Great video man, thank you! 👍
Thanks! And thanks for watching a few of them.
Great info Johnny. Hey folks, I highly recommend Johnny's E-Book. I printed it out and keep it in one of my tool drawers for quick reference.
Thank you so much Todd for the positive referral. I really appreciate it buddy.
I've been dying to grab a good griddle for a while. Bit the bullet today and can't wait to get started. Thanks a ton for a great easy to understand video.

Awesome thanks bro for the info
You're welcome Raymon, thanks for watching.
I got the $30 lodge cast iron griddle for my birthday last week and I still used most of your videos to help! I seasoned it only once and I made some onion smash burgers.
Awesome! I have a lodge as well that's what I used before I bought a big outdoor one. It works out great, I bet your onion burgers were awesome. Thanks for watching.
Great advice. Just bought a camp chef explorer stove for camping with griddles. Good to know about the proper temperatures and will definitely a infrared thermometer.
Thanks Scott I hope the advice was helpful and thanks for watching a few videos. I've never used the explorer but they look awesome! And they seem very easy to set up and break down so perfect for camping.
I really enjoy your videos. Your real 👍
Thanks so much Cliff I'm glad you enjoy them.
Recently was gifted a blackstone 2 burner griddle. Your videos are an absolute blessing! Thanks for taking the time to show us how its done! I was definitely getting overwhelmed with all the accessories i thought i needed 😅
Congratulations on the new griddle and I'm so happy that my videos have been helpful for you. I really appreciate you watching. And yes don't feel like you need to go out and buy 20 differ accessories. A spatula, tongs, and an infrared thermometer are all you need in my opinion.
I’ve been frustrated AF today (4th of July) getting my griddle ready to cook (haven’t used it in forever). Then you gave me the magic tip I was missing out on….beer. I wasn’t drinking enough beer. Thanks for the tip sir.
Hahahah awesome spatula man, glad I could help! I hope you ended up having a great 4th brother, thanks for watching.
Jonny thank you for the like. I'm making. riddled shrimp tomorrow. your support is appreciated. ill have some wine in your honor.
Sounds good Gary, I'm sure that shrimp will be great!
Thank you for this, would not have thought of the IR thermometer.
You're welcome, thanks so much for watching.
Outstanding channel, Johnny! I bought a griddle about a month ago. I like your channel because you explain the zones, and why and where to put your food to cook. Other channels are like, "Look what I/we cooked! We're the kings of the griddle!" You seem to actually like to griddle. I know that I really like griddling now that I have one. Keep cranking out the videos, as they are fun to watch and very informative.
Hi Michael, thank you so much for the kind words. I'm so glad that you like the channel and find it helpful. That is my goal to help other people learn how to griddle not to show what I can do. Also congrats on the new griddle if you just got it. Have a good one buddy.
Thank you.
You're welcome Kevin, thanks for watching.
Super appreciate! This is gold. I'll buy yer book when I can:))
Don't love all the drinking, I'm recovering. But damn yo funny!!😂
I'm sorry but good for you for recovering. I'm glad you like the videos and find them funny.

Temu, get the infrared thermometer for less than 5 bucks
awesome 👍 thank you!
You're welcome Hugh thank you for watching.
First video I came across that talks about actually temps-for different cooks not just heat zones.
Awesome! I hope it's helpful, that's how I do it and I just think it's the best way to learn. Not sure why others don't talk about it much. Thanks so much for watching.
Nice bread trick bro!
Thanks.
Your a good young man for this.kudos
Thanks Roderick.
Thanks!
You're welcome Austin, thank you for watching.
Great explanation of zones brother
Thanks Benny! I really appreciate you watching.
Just got a griddle for Christmas… seasoning tomorrow. Love the channel…O-H
Congratulations on the new griddle Alexander! I-O
Great video. And a fellow CBJ & Buckeye fan!
Hey Pete! Thanks so much for watching and I'm glad you like them. Ugh it's a rough time to be a cbj fan but the future looks good! We got some solid pieces to build on. People that are actually going to stay. I have hope.
Thanks for all you do to get new people into the griddling game! Great information to help people get started and not be overwhelmed.
No problem Garrett thank you for watching.
Just got mine yesterday. I run the flat-top at work & was getting frustrated at home 😂. Love this thing 😍

great video thanks
You're welcome Ozzie, thanks for watching.
Good stuff. I also love the Buckeyes, grilling and Cbus IPA. Cheers from Canton 😅
Heck ya buddy, go Bucks. And tha ks for watching.
Glad I found you. I was on the fence with a blackstone or pit boss. The ceramic eased my anxiety on upkeep, but not on longevity. This video has empowered me to buy a Blackstone like griddle. Thx!!
Hey I'm glad you found me too and I appreciate you watching. Ya I have not used a pit boss but I have similar concerns about longevity. There is upkeep on a regular griddle that's for sure and it's a little more than a traditional gas grill. However I think it's worth it and it is not that difficult you just need to treat it like you would treat a cast iron pans. Keep it clean and try to avoid standing water. That all being said if it does get standing water or develops rust that's not big deal. you can just scrape it off or sand it down then start the seasoning proccess all over again. These things will not go bad on you. Thanks again for watching.
@@JohnnyBrunet Thanks for the response. I really like your style, and I plan to go on a diet the next time you do.😂
You're the best, thanks for the share about your passion.
I like the "organic" side of griddling that the first thing you do is Christen it and make it look not new. It is now yours. Not too many things in the digital age take breaking in.
To season I started with canola oil because I had about 4-5 tablespoons left and wanted to use that up. After 2 cycles with that, I started using bacon strips, one at a time - the best griddle barometer I know of. I swished the slice around with the heat full bore. The first slice of bacon would have been inedible unless you came out of the woods starved for a week. I kept cycling thru bacon slices until it didn't stick anymore and sizzled like it should. It took me about 5-6 slices to get to a point where the bacon strip wasn't coming out all mangled and kind of sooty. I have a 17" portable griddle as my 90% goto cooking apparatus. As I got near the point of it almost being seasoned, I started testing with eggs. Just like the bacon, the first one stuck really bad to the griddle, and after about 4 more sacrificial eggs, I threw a little butter down and the egg danced like it should. So my test looks for the first edible bacon or egg come off, time to eat.
You're welcome thanks so much for watching and for the tips. Ya after I do a few coats of oil I like them throw down some bacon as well. That's always a good way to get your griddle ready to go.
The beer tip came in clutch idk if i would of survived without it
Glad I could help. Last thing you want is to be sober when seasoning your new griddle 😁
I just got one for Father’s Day and I’m first timer on one of these
Congratulations Jeffrey! They're a lot of fun there's just a small learning curve. If you ever have questions just ask, I got videos on a out everything you could want know about griddles. Thanks for watching man.
Great vid!!
Thanks Chris, I appreciate you watching.
My 2 fav teams
Heck ya buddy. Almost football season.
I just realized I had already all the accessories but I didn’t have a griddle….I even had the thermometer that we bought for the pandemic …so now that I bought the griddle today ( from sam’s club for $ 79) it is time to cook…the hardest thing to cook on a griddle most likely it would be eggs…I cooked hundreds and hundreds of eggs on different griddles until I was sick of it….yes that is what you do when you work the egg station in a restaurant…as far as the temperature on your griddle you have to learn where is your hot side and your warm side as you cook on it…I never used a thermometer in connection with a griddle in fact I never thought about connecting the two…bacon fat will season a griddle real good…
Congratulations on the new griddle and thanks for all the tips.
I use an infrared thermometer inside too. I like any activity that involves beer btw.
I've used it inside as well on cast iron. And you can't go wrong with beer drinking activities. I've never fished before but I think I'd like it.
Please don't stop making these videos man they're great! Looking into getting a flat top grill and found your channel today, subbed, liked hit the bell and most importantly drinking those beers 😆
Thanks so much Rick I appreciate it man. As long as I got a griddle and a cell phone with a camera I'll keep making them. Thanks for subbing and liking and absolutley thanks for drinking those beers! If I know people have a cold one while I watch my videos then if I drink one while I make the videos technincally I'm not drinking alone 😏.
I like your picture of the guitars I assume you play? I played base in high school in a garage band but haven't picked it up for a while.
@@JohnnyBrunet I wouldn't call myself a player I'm maybe a halfway decent noodle-arounder lol. Dad taught me forever ago in high school on that 12 string acoustic in the picture, who does that??! Been comparing grills, the portable folding leg 600 looks like a winner, thanks for the Camp/Blackstone video that helped out for sure
@@_Rick_S Haha ya you don't see the 12 string as often but they sure sound nice. Your welcome for the comparison videos, I think if I could go back I would get the portable 600 as well. I thought I would use the grill grates more on my regular 600 but I have not.
@@JohnnyBrunet I was just watching another review and the guy was saying that he had a lot of heat radiating out onto the side shelves, I went on Amazon and found some adhesive reflective material that's rated for a ton of heat, if there's room to stick that stuff on the inside sides of the grill then it would keep the heat from getting to the shelves, not sure if you've had that problem
@@_Rick_S there is a lot of heat on the sides but I just figured there was nothing you could do about it. I'll have to check out the adhesives, thanks.
I just assembled my 36-in Blackstone last night. I'm going to season mine this afternoon I just have to run to the store and grab some beer and remember the propane.thanks for the video I learned something
Congratulations on the new griddle Josh! I'm glad you learned something and thanks so much for watching. Ya don't forget that beer it's the most important thing 😁. You got some good meals coming your way. Let me know if you ever have any questions man. I don't mind answering them and I have videos in pretty much everything.
I probably didn't need 6 coats of oil but my beers thanked me
🤣🤣🤣🤣
popcorn on the blackstone lol now ive seen it all. keep up the good work
Thanks!
I was pretty sold on your channel already, then I seen Brutus. Subscribed
Heck yeah Adam, go Bucks!!! Thanks for watching and subing brother.
Most people buy every gadget they can find at Walmart when they buy a griddle, You are right with essentials. I enjoy how yur videos are a decent length and still cover the topic completely. Have a good one.
Thanks Dale I'm glad you liked it. I didn't want to go on and on too long, just wanted to give the essentials, glad you agree.
As a first time griddle owner this is sound advice!
Coming from a traditional BBQ I'd have been burning everything to a crisp!
Awesome I'm so glad it was helpful, thanks for watching man.
