- Learn a few theraputty exercises for strengthening as well as stretching! As always, please ask a doctor or rehab professional prior to starting these exercise.
For my therapists out there, these exercises are great to use in the clinic (with gloves on during COVID, to keep clinic putty clean!). What exercises am I missing, anybody have some good ones?

I know exactly the saltwater taffy place you mean - in Seaside, between the Skeeball place and the beach! I also used to get taffy and fudge there - thanks for the happy memory!
This putty is so cool. I used it today for the 1st time and it makes my hands feel great. Thanks for introducing this putty to us. Is even helping me when I draw, I am putting some of it in between my 3 fingers and my palm and with my other 2 free fingers ( Index and thumb ) I hold the pen, and now I feel no pain while I draw. I give this putty 4 thumbs up out of 3 😁👍👍👍👍
That’s incredible!!!!! I’m so glad (:
So cool!! Please upload more stuffs haha so helpful watching your videos from the beginning!
Thank you!!! I’m trying to put out about one video a week but sometimes life gets in the way! Let me know if you have any specific topics you’d like to see (:
Thank you Kelly, my some is doing better thanks to you. It feels like getting help from a friend, BTW your hair looks cute:-)
I love your video! You move slowly so a client can follow along. I am a PT that works with clients with Parkinons and I was looking for videos I can have them watch on their own to work in strength and ROM. Do you have any videos that I can give my clients that they follow along with your for both hands for a full work out/ stretch program?
I don’t currently but great idea!! I often film home programs with a patients phone during our sessions so they can repeat at home
I like your video, it really helps😊
So useful mam thank you very much
I was recommended this by my hand therapist a couple years ago but declined it then, if I wanted to try it now, what firms of putty should I start with? I see it goes from extra-soft to extra-firm.
Good question - it depends on what your hand strength is, and what kind of diagnosis / condition you're dealing with. I tend to find that the lower levels (extra soft, soft, soft medium, and medium) tend to be what I use the most in rehab. Extra firm is usually WAY too advanced for the clientele I typically treat - I can't even squeeze it!
@@ForwardTherapy Thank you for replying. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome so strength is fine, it's for pain. The same hand therapist fitted me for a couple ring splints but I feel like I need a more proactive approach for keeping the joints from progressing now.
@@lulabell3233 Gotcha!! I'd probably go with a soft-medium grade, then!
medium is fine.
