Those are so much fun to practice supination and pronation. I’ve had patients use those many times. 👌
I can already feel relief in my left wrist! 3 years ago it has never been the same after breaking the scaphoid. I have broken many bones but the scaphoid break has got to be the most
frustrating thanks so much guys. Hopefully the stiffness and weakness goes away! I have high goals and do not want to be setback by a weak wrist
How's the wrist?

Thick bar (or fat grips) deadlifts & farmers walk. Captains of crush gripper (men should aim for #2 minimum) wrist roller, dumbell wrist curls (pronated and supinated/ flexion & extension) pullups and dead hangs with bodyweight, dip belt with extra weight as well as towel pullups. Plate pinches and carries, opening your hand in a container of builders sand, hammer curls, these coloured tubes that these blokes are talking about, isometric holds and using expand yo hand bands or elastic bands over the tips of your fingers while you open your hand (extensor training, very good for tennis Elbow etc) as you should train your flexors and extensors equally.
If you're a male under 30 & your grip strength measures under 60 kg on an electric hand dynamometer, you have a weak grip.
That means a majority of men on average have a weak grip. -- If it's the 'average' to be under that number than I don't know what 'weak' means. -- According to Livestrong, which is referring to a 1985 publication from a physical medicine journal. "97.8-143.8" lbs is the average for men between 25-30. That would put men between Sport and No. 1 CoC.
60 kg is roughly 132 lbs. Which is between the No.5 to No 1. -- So, you're talking about the high end of average male grip strength.
This is specifically referring to normalized data based off 350+ males in the Milwaukee area.
@@MR-sn1fu so you are under 60
@@followtheleader1114 I grip a CoC2 (around 195lbs/88.5kg) at my desk. But I wouldn't expect everyone to do that. It's useful for other workouts like rows and dead lifts (or BJJ).. My point is the average exemplifies the excessive numbers he's pulling outta nowhere. I'm not all about the 'cool guys grip so hard' masculinity stuff. And anyone coming here to learn about what is 'average' and what they should be at when look at their own strength (possibly to assist in recovery exercises after trauma) should know demonstrable researched data exists countering this random claim.
Well I think if you are 2 or 13 I don’t think your grip should be over 60kg
@@Korrupt27 2 year olds with 60kg grip strength. Terrifying.
Thank you Bob and brad
The intro rock’s along with the information, thanks. Guys
Thanks!
Also going to order your book on treating back pain.
Love your channel! You've saved me from many aches and pains! BTW, could you two do a vid on pronator teres syndrome PT? I recently developed that and don't see anything on it in your channel. If you have already covered it I apologize!
Found any related information
they remind me of my dad and i love it
I had hand surgery that made things worse, and I finally found something that helped build my hand muscles. My fingers don't know how to hang on to a glass of water... I was rolling a lemon to soften it to make lemonade and it was really difficult! So I started using a tennis ball, rolling it back and forth, side to side. It has helped with basic coordination because my hand often doesn't hear what my brain is saying.
How's your hand
I’m only 2 minutes in but this has gotta be at least one of the top five channels on CZcams

Thanks
I bought one for tennis elbow, now I gotta find it
Are these exercises safe if you have tendonitis in the lateral wrist? My grip has weakened but my wrists are sore from too much knitting.
Watched this for Climbing and wanting better grip, stayed for these absolute legends!! Genuinely laughed so hard at the no friends joke 😂😂
Cheers blokes!
Gm sir😊have a nice day. Lots of love from india♥️🇮🇳
Love the intro!
Some of the amazon reviews say there are quality control issues with these because some of the heavier ones are softer/easier than the lighter ones.
gonna be giving the best handshakes from next week.
Your videos are the best so easy to follow.
I have arthritis in one of my wrist and thumb, my consult advised me non weight bearing
Can i do anything?
Love you two
Also just in case you don't have any of the equipment home one of the easiest ways to improve your grip strength is any exercise that involves a bar or hanging this could just be as simple as hanging as long as you can

Love your channel! Would your grip set be good for me with MS?
No longer available on their website, but search for TheraBand Flexbar and you'll find the same thing.
love the intro
from minnesota here near Anoka, mn was raised there
I got the green one and black one and have been cranking them daily for about a week or two and at the beginning I would shake the black one and it wouldn’t wiggle and now I can get it to shake pretty well, awesome investment because I am a wrestler and I need to get better grip strength, also for baseball it will help a lot because grip is one of the most important things for hitting nukes
Same. Bro I just need to save sum money
i always do this exercise.👌
omfg that intro🤦🏾♂️😂
Woah this is such an adorable channel holy shit.
Which of these is best for wrist tendonitis?
i think another key, is to do those exercises slowly, especially if you have injuries.
I have partial tear of TFCc, can I strengthen that with these flex bars. Any way I am working with resistance bands as Dr suggested. But this seems more effective.
Very refreshing, warm and welcoming video. Can’t wait to have Popeye forearms 🤣 Thank you guys! You have plenty of friends now 🥰
This is an exercise to do while I am on boring conference calls at work!
just pretend you're gripping your boss by the neck... :)
Slow your movements down for better results fellas:)
Wym?? So curious just started pole and can't get a grip on life let alone a dang pole lol I bought a home pillow and I am just a slippery frozen turkey on wet noodles
@@mabelinerose1404 I think he was making a joke about masterbation 😂🤦
Actually he is right. Powerlifters know that slow steady lifts are more effective that rapid jerking lifts. You will be stronger and have better muscle control
Sir one of my friend has a mild thickness of CHL in shoulder . What does it mean sir ? Pls respond sir. Help sir
Are there any alternatives to these tubes or something I can make at home
Excellent!
But when wrist n fingers muscle power is zero how we improve grip?
i haven't seen these at retail stores. where can i purchase?
I have a lot of weakness in my wrist and hands due to psoriatic arthritis. Would this help me regain some strength?
I'm a COTA I remember using these in the field
You guys did a good job avoiding jokes I wouldn’t be able to stifle.
thanks I was able to close a captains of crush #3.5 after watching this.
what to do, if someone not able to reverse his grip e.g. some brain stroke patient unable to open his grip, then what to do, which quipments is important ?
how often would you recommend using these?
Bob and Brad. Thank you for this video. I just bought the can do twist and bend set. Got it last week after watching your video.
How often would you recommend to use these? (I have been doing 10-15 minutes doing all the different movement patterns with these but don’t want to over train.)
How about driving screws into/out of wood( manual screwdriver- and sawing with handsaw
pushups are must, for overall hand strength..
Do you have suggestions to help stroke recoverers who don't have access to physical therapy? I've yet to figure out how to get my fingers to open. Sure I can make fists... but as a musician I really need both....
Hi guys im in ireland where can i buy those and what do you call them? Cheers good video .
I believe that with practise, we may simply enhance our hand grasp. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
Hopefully this helps for my bjj grips :)
What about finger extension? I've been told that weak antagonists could limit your grip strength quite a bit.
Who's the antagonist
@@glennhonestly6600 "In an antagonistic muscle pair as one muscle contracts the other muscle relaxes or lengthens. The muscle that is contracting is called the agonist and the muscle that is relaxing or lengthening is called the antagonist."
@@HeikkiHallamaa thanks, i learn new things
You mostly need extensor strength according to studies
Its the flexaility of the antagonists that can limit you, not their strength
Guys, another fantastic video...but what of the hand intrinsic muscles ?
Hi, just found this video but it looks like the bendy bars are gone. Are they still able to purchase? I can't find them on Amazon or your store.
1000 and 1200 lb hand grips are available on the Internet. (Beginners accept, since it will save money on grips.)
Please note to save some money as your grip strength increases to go on forever, on Amazon and Ebay there are 2 hand grip exercisers that one promotes 1000 lbs and the other 1200 lbs, using 6 springs that last forever and the grips easily allow to remove springs and 12 notch positions to find a poundage you feel comfortable with exercising with. The springs are held in place by 2 bar touching each other and if one slide to the side releases the springs. 1 spring in the highest notch position, will give a 200 lb workout and 2 springs in the highest positions is a 400 lb work out - good for one year's practice. The lowest position with one spring is from 50 to 70 lbs, approximate.
Will this help tennis elbow?
Does this help with the grip for guitar playing too? Because for playing you are using more of a clamp-grip.
Where do you buy these?
So informative and subtly cringey in the best, old school way! Thank you!
Where can I get the tube objects to grip?
anyone know what I could do to help with foot pronation other than have an orthotic
Went to your link but can’t find this product.
Where can I get those
a wet towel is better. Try to squeeze it dry! I had a grip of 50-55kg. After a year hand washing and squeezing, it's about 85-90kg. try it and then comment after a year.
What length are you guys using, 12" or 24"
多謝!
Thank you for your support. Stay well!
Where do I buy those grip rubbers from
I think filling a Windex bottle full of water and spray it to empty works well.
Or a weight on a rope around a pole.
