- A quick session turns into non-stop action with myself having difficulty keeping bait in the water, its action-packed, and keeps on rolling. It's a must watch!

@John Morris have you any rivers or lakes around you? Barbell I'd love to chase again! Miss the Barbell.
@@thatsabite river wye ,don't know about barbell, but it used to be quite famous for its salmon and trout fishing ,there is a small lake in our town that carp anglers try for ,I don't do anything other than sea fishing 😀

That's what it's all about! Hopefully, he'll land some nice fish!
First comment on your channel mate, been watching yours and johns channel a while now.
Loved the video mate top stuff.
I’ve never tried limpet in darkness before think you’ve inspired me to try it. I’ve used it a lot for wrasse/pollack in daytime when short on bait and always caught on it. It certainly bulked the baits up nice 👍
You would imagine that cod, bass and other species would eat them even as a plain bait.
Tight lines, all the best.
Karl
Thanks for the kind words mate, means an awful lot!
The limpets is the first time I've fished with them and proved out to be OK as plumping up the bait as you say! I believe the wrasse will love them from what I've read!
However, it's the muscles I want for the cod, I think I know where they are in abundance, so I'll go and check over low water. Tight lines buddy, and thanks for watching!
Top video bud. Loved that. ❤ subbed from little jersey 😊all the best
Brilliant mate! Thankyou!
I,m gonna get over and fish with you guy,s love what you film 👍 steve from chaple st leonards
Brilliant, thanks alot, that's mega that is. Glad you enjoy the channel!

Yeses chavvy! Top shot on you too 🎯 cheers for the support!
No problem love it mush and thanks bro 💯
Great video Mike on them greedy whitening I was fishing new Briton on the Mersey on the same day as you nothing but whitening all the best from Paul from Staffordshire 🇬🇧 👍
Cheers, mate, it's just full of whiting, isn't it! Still, that's fishing!
@@thatsabite I did have something big on at low tide lost it in the last second think it was a massive ray had it on squad with salmon raped around it salmon was from aldis 5 frozen fresh fillets for just over £3 tuck ages to get in was like trying to get big carp in my arms and rest was akin after lol
@@paul3155 sounds like an epic battle, we will be hitting the mersey soon, that's for sure.
Haha those limpit bait kebabs look banging mate
🤣🤣🤣
Good vid mate hopefully be out with you an John again very soon
Sooner rather than later pal! 👍
@@thatsabite hopefully 🤞🍻
Is Colwyn prom snaggy ?
Where would be the least anaggy points ?
Opposite the arches or to the right as you look out to the water
Anywhere from the arches up to rhos is sand, to the right of the arches (as you look at the sea) is very snaggy. Goof though, but rotten bottoms and expect gear loss.
NICE VIDEO WELL DONE, A QUICK TIP IF IT, S THAT COLD TAKE A SMALL CAMPING STOVE AND 2 EGGS BOIL THEM RAP IN TIN FOIL PUT THEM IN YOUR POCKET, S THEY WILL STAY WARM FOR SOMETIME, AND NO MORE COLD HANDS. CHEERS CHRIS
I like that tip, plus when they cool down, some nice food. 👌
Great video.
Do you ever get the line rapping round the rod lights I fancy using them just worried line get wrapped and snaps the tip.
Just check each time you cast, once I've clicked the bail alarm, i just use my index thinger to feel if the line is moving freely, so far no problems.
These are rig shark lights, I love them. www.rigshark.co.uk
Thanks for that I will have a look at them online. Keep up the videos there superb
why i love the uk fishing community, we are all nice guys and support each other... tight lines and calm minds
Yes, it's not true what they say about us is it, every little helps when people are starting of, I remember starting of myself. Thankyou for the support.
great vid mike to keep your hands warm put wrist bands on they will make one hell of a diffence pete north wales
that rockling was a shore rockling, it has 3 beards but much smaller than the 3 bearded and a much darker brown compared to a more redish colour of the 3.
Thanks for pointing that out mate, only had a quick glance and still learning the species. 👍
@@thatsabite no probs, it's all about learning. I still have to look up some of the mini species 🐟🎣
If you go to Mostyn docks you will get the cod there it's fishing well for them the last couple of weeks
Itching for that cod, thanks for the heads up! 🙏
@@thatsabite average 2-3 lb on big baits lug and squid a lad from the wirral pulled one last night around 6lb so worth a wet line
top vid keep it up
Cheers mate!
I used these pulley beads as intended, check the holes through, after several outings 40lb rig body cuts through the plastic and the line doesn’t run through it , like you,not impressed, went back to 100lb swivels 👍.btw, tight lines 👍
I'm glad I spotted it to be honest, my good friend Martin has advised the use of a certain pulley which I'm about to get onto. Pretty decent to be honest.
I'm new to sea fishing Mike. The limpets you used, would you think it would be a good idea to stick them on a dongle? Would that be a good idea, or not? Better to ask, than go ahead and do it, l reckon suppose. Better to ask the people with experience. Loving the content btw Mike, keep up the good work👍
Great to see you starting! Yes, I suppose they would work well on a dongle, muscles would be even better to be honest. If you can get muscles, there a good bait. 👍 I do try my best with the content and it'll only get better as time progresses, I've got so much I want to add additional into the filming via equipment etc. Massive thankyou though, go get them!
@@thatsabite thanks for you're input Mike, will definitely give them a try.
If you use two skewers when wrapping the mussel in bait elastic it should stop them spinning 👍
Mate, you've just saved me alot of frustration, and it's so simple! Fair play! 🍻
@@thatsabite it’ll all be worth it when you get that cod! 🎣
Top man
I know it's not the place to ask but I'm worried so Mike have a check on Webby I saw a post he put on Facebook that sounded like he wasn't in a good place cheers pal we all need to look out for each other love the vids tight lines 👍
All I can say is that he's battling something at the moment, he will be out very soon. He's good, I'm constantly checking in on him and popping by.
@@thatsabite sound I was just I bit worried good to know you got him under your wing ....I'm only down the road from you guys hope to bump into you on the shoreline sometime 👍
Good session well done keep it coming
Thanks a lot, buddy!
Nice video buddy 👍
Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a rechargeable hand warmer. You can get them from Amazon or eBay. Look for the ones with 10,000mah batteries as the last longer 😉
Bro, your literally catching catching the best cod bait and don't even know it. 2 hook flapper, 2/0 pennels on 40lb snoods, hook the whitting on the bite and leave it there. Or dead bait one, but live will ring the dinner bell where you want it. Lil tip from an ol sea dawg from Mon.
Oh mate, I know the whiting is a cracking cod bait. I tried for the past two years of our shore with them, to no avail. This winter, I'm telling you now, I'll have me that cod! 🥍
@@thatsabite ye man, just keep slugging away as you do de. Ty croes way the cod hit first, try that method in a couple months time off that side. You hook the whitting out there btw, strike the bite and leave the fish flap on the end until a cod inhales it. Whitting don't survive being blasted 150 yds alive.
Hi
If you turn a rock over you should put it back.
As explained before in other comments, I do regularly do this, however... the footage didn't make the clip. I've been corrected about 5 times already.
My question, most rocks get tumbled around in the surf, right?
But yes, I do turn them!
PUT THE ROCKS BACK AS YOU FOUND THEM !!!!!! 🤥
First rock in the footage, I didn't, however. I have footage that didn't make this video due to bad audio in which I explained about flipping them back over.
Arnt u in johns video
I am indeed
Great video but make sure that you put the rocks back to the same spot where they had been originally 👍
I did have a clip of myself mentioning that, it's what I normally do to be honest. The clip wasn't good, very muffled. But I agree with what you are saying.
Check your shellfish minimum size limits they definatly apply to mussles and the one you collected looked very undersized
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't know this. There's too much to know everything, one thing I'll definitely take notice on, thanks!
