- Space Jam 2: A New Legacy's first images show us what Bugs Bunny looks like in the film -- and also might hint at the movie doing something kind of neat with its visual style.

I wanna call it , if we get Michael Jordan watching the game from his “ house” and he only say “ really?” then we get a after credit back to that moment and we see bugs sitting next to him too and reply back to him , I’m gonna need to call it lol
This isn't really a "secret". Tony Bancroft confirmed the film has both 2D and CGI on Twitter about a month ago.
Welp, it was news to me. I guess I should add Tony to my follows.
@@seaniccus Surprising you haven't. He worked in Disney in the 1990s and 2000s and even directed Mulan.
You are actually correct! Tony Bancroft, one of the animators on the film, said that the film uses both styles.
If "Space Jam 2" has both 2D and CGI animation for the Looney Tunes, I can imagine this being similar to the Louvre paintings scene from "Back in Action." And since this movie takes place in VR, maybe this will be an expansion on that concept. Besides, it's always cool when characters would switch between different art styles/mediums.
But Back in Action is still a live-action/hand-drawn animation hybrid feature film. But A New Legacy has live-action, hand-drawn animation and CGI where they put the hand-drawn and live-action separate by implementing a strong amount of CGI.
Space jam will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'm totally down to get an HBO Max subscription just to watch it
Hey DippedCookie instead of buying HBO May there’s a website on safari called soap2day. You can watch any movie or tv show on there. So when Space Jam 2 comes out on the first day, you can just watch it on soap2day. No Cap it’s fire 🔥
I would put money down to bet that the first trailer of Space Jam: A New Legacy will be released on March 13th; during the 2021 Kid's Choice Awards hosted by Kenan Thompson.
I hope so.
Me too
Maybe that get by end this mouth i wait forward to summe moives live luca and space jam
@@itcaptaintoad6423 Yep, either this Saturday, next Thursday, or the end of this month. Who knows?
@@matthewthornley1120 there was a new moive called a spin off moive soon
I love 2D animation over everything but I think the switch to 3D while the game is going on could look really good. These semi-realistic characters being flattened, squashed and stretched might make for good slapstick.
I'd predict it the other way around actually, I think the 3D is the real world style, and the 2D is the Virtual reality style. That would also give us a 2D basketballer which could be a fun twist.
There's some leaked merchandise deleted by Warner Bros. which depicted Lebron James in 2D style.
I know they want to give her more personality, but there's no need to sacrifice anything...physical.
She still looks fine though.
Interestingly enough, Looney Tunes: Back in Action was meant to be the anti-Space Jam. Just ask that movie's director, Joe Dante and the movie's screenwriter, Larry Doyle. Both of them hated the original Space Jam because they felt that it ruined the personalities of the Looney Tunes characters.
They're not the only ones though. Veteran Looney Tunes director, Chuck Jones also hated Space Jam, saying that Bugs Bunny would have never enlisted the other Looney Tunes characters nor would he have gone crying to Michael Jordan for help. He said that Bugs Bunny would have defeated those aliens, whether they were tiny or colossal, in just 6-7 minutes and not in an 88 minute movie.
As someone who is a huge Looney Tunes fan, I got to say, they're not wrong.
That's actually.... a very good point.
Ironically Back in Action Destroyed the Looney Tunes franchise to the point of obscurity due to it bombing at the box office which lead to WB abandoning the Looney Tunes franchise for the rest of the decade.
So you could say that A New Legacy is the anti-Back in Action
Well while they do have points, but I honestly feel like Space Jam is overhated by a lot of hardcore Looney Tunes fans, sure the movie didn’t entirely have the wackiness of the original Looney Tunes, but that didn’t entirely make the movie bad. And I didn’t really see any “change of personality” despite what Joe Dante, Larry Doyle, and Chuck Jones said. I mean again, they do have valid points, but I still feel despite the movie’s fame, it still is kinda overhated
Honestly im somewhat excited about the new space jam movie even if its bad i will probably still watch it, love your vid
I doubt it will be bad, it looks so good.
If there's gonna be hand-drawn animation, why don't they include those moments in these batch of stills?
Focused marketing is effective marketing. There's a large demographic of general audience that prefers 3D to traditional animation. Showing just this gets that demographics attention -- and if they're Only releasing a handful of stills, with only three of which that have animated characters, mixing styles in those few shots might be confusing to some.
Or I could just be wrong, but I don't think I am.
I like the new design of Lola Bunny, she's so cute as always.
I will see this sequel and lola bunny is very attractive. 😀👍🐰
No she's not, unless she has the original design 😤
So it combined part 2d traditional animation and part CGI animation effect in Space Jam: A New Legacy, incredible.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A bit like how Back in action mixed up the Art Style
Yes, the film has hand-drawn and CGI where A New Legacy is a live-action/animation hybrid film while the first is a live-action/hand-drawn animation hybrid feature where A New Legacy usually puts the live-action and hand-drawn animation separate by implementing also a strong amount of CGI where it's live-action than animation unlike the first.
I hope they make a trailer
Also it seems like this movie is a sorta meta-commentary on studios' recent obsession with cinematic universes.
That would be sick
Loony Toons Back in Action is actually refrenced Space Jam believe it or not.
I absolutely don't remember this, but I do believe it.
I think one of the characters pulls out a Toon Squad uniform and/or a basketball for a one off blink and you'll miss it joke.
@@seaniccus There was a moment in "Back in Action" when one of the bad guys unzipped themselves (classic cartoon gag and all) and one of those 'reveals' included Michael Jordan holding a basketball.
2D > 3D. Don't @ me.
Why would we It's objectivly true
Are you asking us not to @ you about how right you are?
Just saw the trailer that just came out and you were right on the money.
I am excited for this movie. I want to see it. :)
The CG style looks like they aren't going to push it too realistic, but the fur looks a bit overly detailed.
The Rocky and Bullwinkle movie from the late 90s or early 00s did a similar art switch. The animated characters start out, well, more like Flash animation than the original 60s cartoons, but flat, and then when the Pottsylvanian baddies get a studio executive to buy the rights to a Rocky and Bullwinkle movie they get pulled out of a TV to become live action characters, while the heroes get sucked into the real world by a literal Greenlight and become CG animation.
Somebody wanted to make a movie about Termite Terrace, but the studio dropped it and gave us Space Jam instead. I wish we got the Termite Terrace movie.
was this really a secret?
i mean if it’s anything like the first
film it’s gonna have the toons coming to the real world and the players going to the toon world so i think some of the 3D footage is MANY cartoon classics in a real stadium with bugs right?
It’s Been confirmed that space jam 2 will have 2d animation and 3D Animation in it as well
Maybe you should make reviews on HBO’s Looney Tunes Cartoons. You’ve got potential.
I got the space jam 1 disc and I can't wait to see the 2😃😃😃😃😃😃
I’m very sure for a portion of the film they will be in 2d form until the final game where they will be 3D
I think it will be both

Those videos are pretty heavily scripted and take a long longer to put together. I try to get them done within a week of the episode being out, but they're way too much to do quickly after work at my day job, like this video.
I usually have to wait until Saturday and Sunday to get any real work on them done.

SPACE JAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok
naaa man, also for the first space jam they had two different design for advertisement and movie itself
I am a fan of the original Space jam, but I am not a fan of Lebron James and think that this idea is not worth it.
Wow you don't anything about basketball or Michael Jordan man are you out of the loop
I was never much of a sports guy. I go to Baseball games with my brother sometimes, but I don't really know any of the players, I just like watching live events and hanging out with friends.
I know Michael Jordan was super famous and well loved, but I can't say I've ever watched a single game he played in.
I think I went to a Globetrotter's game once? But that's more of a comedy show than a sport.
@@seaniccus me too
I don't know, man. After the disastrous performance of the new Tom & Jerry movie, I have no hope for this movie whatsoever.
I think it's possible to be interested in the animation choices a film makes even if the film itself doesn't work as a whole. I didn't see Tom and Jerry (I knew it wouldn't be for me early on), but from what I've seen in the trailers I think the animation technology and style are pretty interesting!
I can't say I have any interest or faith in the story, though!
I'm not sure if Space Jam will tell much of a story either -- but I do like the creative idea of changing styles, even if the film doesn't work out as a whole product.
On the other hand, I miss sexy Lola Bunny 😞
Ion kno bro it’s already kinda weird to be attracted to cartoons. The cartoon bein a bunny makes it even worse😭
@@marlandshanklin1987 it’s really not weird if 90% of the people who watched the movie thought she was hot. Weird means uncommon 🙄
