This is one of the most difficult pokemon challenges, and it's a perfect balance of skill and luck: you have to play extremely well, make good strategic decisions, and get lucky! I feel like all of my hard work and dedication paid off, and I was able to beat this crazy challenge! I streamed this every day for 2 weeks trying to beat it. detect on the champ lead is so insane, holy. since you aren't attacking, AI doesn't see detect as actually procking, so it continually sees it as a good move to click with items being used instead. that was so clean, well played my dude

Oooh, this really does the impossible (for me): it makes randomizers with random movesets/BST distributions interesting! Never heard of Ironmon before but now I have to check it out. Awesome run, I look forward to seeing more :3

The somewhat sub-optimal typing of Aerodactyl was just completely overrun by that stat distribution. I don't think I'd be able to balance a BST 515 Pokemon more ideally for an Ironmon Kaizo than this Aerodactyl was. High Spe, high SpA, and balanced defences and hp, sacrificing the unneeded attack stat, but not enough that physical moves are useless. Couple that with the stellar moveset you stumbled into, a perfect ability to keep you alive, and some absolutely insane lucky misses, and man. What a perfect one-Mon army.

This Is a Perfect Guide To Me + My Current Experience When The Time Comes For Doing It According "To The Book" In These Official Rules. Farewell is a very fitting track for the E4, since it’s a track that’s heard in the final part of the game it’s from which is infamously difficult (Farewell Golden is an insane achievement to be able to accomplish, too, just like this)

Also, maybe I'm weird but I'm hoping to see more of the ultimate ruleset over Kaizo. Yeah its fun to pog over the challenge but ultimate offers the player a lot more agency and opportunity for interesting combinations. I think the realization that convinced me off the Kaizo train was that the additional restrictions arguably do not increase the skill ceiling of the challenge. All the skills and decision making that kaizo requires translates equally to ultimate, but with more opportunities to apply them. Not saying either mode is superior, I just personally have more fun, either watching or playing, the ultimate ruleset.

It was Attempt 650. Game knowledge plus a little bit of luck is certainly expected at that point. This was well-played. If it “looks trivial,” “looks” is the operative word there.
this is pretty impressive, I want to try doing this in Emerald but idk how you did things like increasing pokemon per trainer and increasing wild pokemon levels. is ther a specific randomizer you are using or can i just find this all in the universal randomizer

i just.. the amount of eundurance needed.. i had an insane tank blastoise with immunity and decent moves and boom - perish song...
I've had a lot of runs die to Perish song! Very brutal and something that I always try to play around when possible, but sometimes there just isn't anything you can do :(

I wanna see somebody do this challenge with no status healing items AND... Well i guess AND.../ OR NO other items i.e. (the X items) besides healing items ONLY in battle like you did
There's a few other people who have beat this challenge on stream! It would be a lot harder without x items, as they are a major way that you can get an advantage in E4, but the newest challenge that I've been playing (Survival Ironmon) bans the x-items in elite 4 specifically, making it even more difficult!
Did pie make another ruleset where you can't use balls to get through things like bide? I thought I remembered him talking about it. Specifically that you could only throw one, but maybe he was just thinking about possible changes 🤔

just imho, PC7 kaizo nuzlocke is more impressive and challanging. lvl cap, real kaizo teams and AI strats, no items in battle. this one is "restart till stars align",

It's automatically generated! Some fans of ironmon have made a pokemon tracker which is what that is. You can find it in the ironmon discord which is listed in the description of the video.

Eruption is busted in PvE.
Is this an early version of the ruleset? I got to elite 4 as a level 89 missing maybe 3 trainers and wondered if the exp growth rate was different earlier on
No version of the rules has changed the XP curve of the pokemon, although this was on an earlier version of the rules where you could only pivot to the same or lower level pokemon.
Your experience getting to the end of the game can vary a little bit depending on the types of pokemon you run into since things like Blissey give insane XP and things like Mew give little XP. I also think that I had good rare candy luck as well on this run, and I think that I had 2/3 rare candies on this run. I do think that this is the highest level I reached the E4 at on any pokemon, as I was able to full clear everything besides victory road trainers.
I'd just like to point out that different Pokemon have different growth rates too. So that is also a factor.
@@econsean yeah that's true, I did fight a lot of babies early on and not much legendaries overall, ended up dying to Agatha because her ace was on level with me ironically linking to your comment, a Blissey, that lived on about 3% and crit hyper beamed me into oblivion
@@keenanlarsen1639 not in this, unless I've misunderstood the randomizer string all Pokémon are set to (iirc) legendary Pokémon growth rate.
@@keenanlarsen1639 The randomizer sets all non-legendary to fluctuating growth rate and all legendary pokemon are set to slow, so growth rate isn't an issue here (fortunately).

Why does the aerodactyl have high special attack as opposed to attack?
The stats of each Pokémon are randomly redistributed for this challenge, in addition to randomised movesets and abilities.

No level cap, but there's only a certain amount of XP you can realistically get due to only being able to battle trainers.

Bro can u help me i wanna know how we can reload the game without actually closing the game and do the randomisation because when i rest the game after fainting the same pokemon appears after reset
There's a couple of ways that you can do this. The newest version of the tracker has a feature where, if you create a bunch of random files, theres a hotkey (default is AB select start) to load up the next file in sequence automatically. What I do is that when I'm finished with a file, I rerandomize a file and save over the previous one, and then just load the file that I randomized over and it didn't reset the emulator.

did you farm healing items underground?
You aren't allowed to get the underground items more than once, and they are random. I did grind steps to get those items once though!

@@Znickel Yep! You are only allowed to use one pokemon for the entire run, so I used Aerodactyl for the whole thing!

you fought every trainer in the game?
Every one except victory road trainers (excluding all the illegal trainers like ones on sevii of course).
@@econsean i've seen several kaizo streams and every time they reach the e4, the pokemon is always around level 92-95, always the same numbers
How did you use strength
Without teaching
I believe that for this run, I was using a ROM hack that enforces some rules of ironmon (prevents reentry of dungeons) and makes a couple of things easier, like reupping repels and allowing you to use HMs that you have in inventory without teaching them to a pokemon.

I may have explained the rules not great in the beginning of the video, but the full rules are at ironmon.gg
You are allowed to use the items that you pickup in the overworld IN battle, but not outside of battle, and you aren't allowed to purchase any items outside of pokeballs and repels, so you can only use what you get. A major part of the run is trying to stockpile heals so that way you have a little bit of insurance for the elite 4 fights: You're probably going to take a ton of damage, so you're definitely going to have to heal. Sorry if that was a big confusing!
