      Sinistcha & Poltchageist: They steal people's souls. Yeah. Sinistcha is even worse since it uses a tea cup as a booby trap to steal people's souls.
      Okidogi: "Okidogi is a ruffian with a short temper." Depending on this "short temper" it could be indiscriminate attack like Primeape.
      Fezandipiti: "scatters pheromones that captivate people and pokemon." Uh, depending on what exactly it does, could count as mind control and I think using pheromones counts as some chemical shit but I don't exactly know since I don't think people have tried using pheromones in war.
      Gouging Fire: It "rampages and spouts pillars of flame". Yeah id say this could count as indiscriminate attack and also incendiary weaponry, especially since it's probably burning down the forests.
      Raging Bolt: it "incinerates everything around it with lightning". Incendiary weaponry, yeah.
      Iron Crown: There was "an incident in which it launched shining blades to cut everything around it to pieces." If this really means everything, then yeah, I'd say that's probably indiscriminate attack.
      Pecharunt: Pecharunt is a hardened war criminal, using poison and mind control at the same time. I think it's pretty obvious why it's bad.

    • @diamondseraph9369
      @diamondseraph9369 Před 2 lety +302

      To be fair...
      Just because they _CAN_ destroy the universe doesn't mean that they _WOULD_ destroy the universe. They could be completely harmless individuals who have complete control over themselves and their powers and only go around doing good deeds or whatever.
      I could go and find a defenseless animal somewhere and ruthlessly kill it or set a forest/someone's house on fire somewhere. I have that ability and could do that at any time.
      But would I ever do something like that?
      Hell no!
      So even saying that someone is a war criminal just because they have the ability to destroy the universe is a bit...harsh.
      Obviously they have the very real possibility of becoming a war criminal (and... arguably much worse...) but at the same time they might not even _WANT_ to destroy the universe (and can control themselves in a way that that's never even an issue) so it would be the equivalent of arresting someone just because they have the capability of committing murder in a very specific circumstance despite never even showing any signs of wanting to so much as threaten someone.

    "Seperate your soul from your body"
    How do fantasy writers not realize that's just a fancy way of saying "killing a person", like, i get its supposed to be this spooky 'touch of death' thing, but i'm pretty sure if a normal horse kicked you hard enough your soul would leave your body too

    • @FlameLegend100
      @FlameLegend100 Před 2 lety +358

      I mean ya got a point but in the terms of fantasy it could imply that 'something else' could enter your soulless body, it would be terrifying if a Yamask or Hisuian Zoroark (Only mentioning the new Zoroark just because of its ghost typing and my liking of Zoroark) convinced a Spectrier to kick someone's soul out of their body only to enter and inhabit it.
      I'd also imagine that other ghost pokemon would want to eat or capture your soul and such. At least your soul can hopefully reenter your body.

    • @bort6459

      It's the silly consequences of keeping things kid friendly. You can't kill a person and trap thier spirit in hell, but you can "remove their souls and trap it in the shadow realm."
      You can't have cartoons shoot guns, but lasers are fair game. Can't have characters use weapons on people, but they can brandish them and use them as tools. Spiderman can't punch people so he drop kicks with hilarious regularity.
      At this point its practically a staple of children's media and localization.

      If a horse kicking technically makes your soul leave your body. What an animal or being had the ability to do the opposite. It can now trap your soul in your body. So it can never leave. Your soul is trapped, you have no ability to use your now limp decaying body and until it is fully decayed you're fully conscious and away how trapped you are. I'm just gonna avoid horses for a bit and try to go back to sleep.

Turns out the Mismagius gets to control everything you see, hear, and feel, and can create an entire environment filled with NPCs for your disembodied soul to interact with. Friendly ones use it to convince you to just stay eaten by giving you an ideal world to live out your most cherished fantasies. any actual info they've heard
      any random bull they come up with

      the reason it's the same each time is because each playthrough technically has the same protagonist, just a different name/pokemon team/gender
      BUT different regions have different myths, knowledge and protagonists
      and the reason it seems to be written so quickly is because, well, why would we need to go through the actual writing itself, it's easier to just generate it

    Hi! The reason all the Gen Seven dex entries for mega evolution are so violent is possibly due to the natures of the pokemon when the mega evolve (violent pokemon staying violent), but also because in Alola, the trainers mostly use z-moves. They see mega evolution as the same thing (a quick burst of power) so when some megas have to undergo the painful transformation quickly, they go bezerk. Hence the insane dex entries.

      Secondly the distortion world cant be made out of antimatter because every person or thing or even air molecule that enters it would immediately annihilate. Our characters, the spirit trio, and Cyrus can walk on the grounds there for that hypothesis is completely dead. Same is true for giratina the moment he enters the realm of matter.

    Ahh I love pokemon Pokédex entries… cause they go from
    Playfully playing in the snow that fell due to the Avalanche it caused
    to
    FORGED BY THE SPIRITS OF THOSE KILLED BY THE SWORD CLAD THEMSELVES IN SNOW AND BECAME A POKEMON

      This still implies the issue of the Pokemon world having geological catastrophes of great proportions on a regular basis.
