How to Make a Laser Cut Radio

- Today I'm laser cutting a radio. The design uses laser cut living hinges, laser cut leather, and features Rockler's Wireless Speaker kit. It's also my first time using Reality's Falcon 2 22w Diode Laser cutter and I'm excited to show you how it worked for me. This was my first time laser cutting leather, and 1/8" thick walnut using a diode so I was curious how the finished cuts would look. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!

Hi Michael,
Hi nice job! I have an advise for you a speaker enclosure to work well need to be air tight and so the living hinges are not the best way to do it in your case. Perhaps you coul'd have filled the holes from the inside. Anyway, beautyfull project keep up your energy!
Very creative and well executed. How'd it sound. How about a review on the speaker kit. BTW, you'd get more views if you put Red in the video. Everybody love a pup. Thanks for a video.
The sound quality was great! I forgot to mention it in the voice over but both Michael and I were really impressed. And Red will hopefully make more and more appearances as she keeps going with her “Shop Dog” training 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome job and super creative 😁Thanks so much for sharing and have a fantastic day 📻
Thanks so much! It was a fun one to put together for sure
That's cool! Great job!
Thanks so much :)
Great project (as usual). Love the twine clamp. I'm guessing you did a running stitch not a saddle stitch so you'd only have to mess with one needle? There is a certain irony of needing a big laser with ventilation to use your smaller diode laser. That's why I went with an enclosed laser that I could vent outside.
Where is the design download???!!!! You did an awesome job. Love your works!
Ah, thanks so much :) It should be linked in the bio but here’s the link again for you: makersworkshop.com/products/laser-cut-wood-and-leather-rockler-radio
Hello, can you tell me what did you spray to clean the leather after laser cutting 😊
It’s leather conditioner I got from my local hardware store. It was in the auto care section, intended for car interiors, but worked great!
@@MakersWorkshopLLC ah ok nice, I will see what I can find, I also have a creality Falcon 2
Oh cool! How do you like it so far?
@@MakersWorkshopLLC i think for leather it's perfect, cuts and engraving are clean, I'm still playing the settings on lightburn. ( this is my first laser)
Wow, you got some hairy arms, honey!
OH! Wait! Nevermind. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 😁✌🖖
