Just discovered your channel! Your reviews are fantastic girl đđđ» thank you for including âMinuit et Demiâ in your faves, that makes me so happy đ„ș
Thank you so much Demi! đ€đ€ You have so much to be proud of!
Minuit et demi is BEAUTIFUL! My ideal perfume!
Thank you so much Anne đ€âš
My best discovery for this year is tour channel! I love your video and youâre so entertaining đ„°đ„°đ„°
Awww thank you!! I appreciate you!! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Tihota is another beautiful vanilla scent that Iâm sure you would love.
I don't have any bdk but rouge smoking is defintely on my to buy list.
All my Navitus discoveries are my favs!
Divine Vanille by Essential Parfums (your review had me pull the trigger), Velvet Vanilla by Mancera (decant turned full bottle purchase), Vanilla Musk by Nemat (10 ml oil that I have repurchased), Mon Guerlain Intense (blind buy), and Vanilla 28 (full bottle purchase after having a sample and all the rave reviews) are my favorite discoveries from 2021. Are we sensing a theme here...? đOther favorites I added full bottles of in 2021 include Lira and Love, but they weren't new discoveries this year. I'm looking forward to seeing what 2022 has in store for fragrances!
Yesss letâs hear it for vanilla!! đđ One of my favorite fragrance notes! đđŒ Actually just added Velvet Vanilla to my to-buy list last night đ Also, could you give me a mini review of Vanilla Musk? Iâve heard a bit about the brand but havenât really looked into it. Do people mainly use it for layering or as a substitute for perfume?
@@AnneLauren I use it for both! The projection of it on its own is soft/moderate- I catch whiffs of it on myself and people who get close to me can smell (and love!) it, but you aren't going to turn heads wearing it alone (especially through a mask). It is just lovely to me when I wear it just for myself or when cuddling with a partner. I use it for layering a lot, and also for reapplication when I'm out and don't want to carry a decant or reapply something by spraying. I know Nemat has an amber oil as well, but I haven't given that one a try.
@@laurenzieger9617 thank you!
@@AnneLauren also fyi, after reading other comments about Tihota, the vanilla musk is considered an oil equivalent for tihota! Thought it was worth a mention, though I havenât sampled tihota to provide my two cents.
@@laurenzieger9617 oh nice!!
I fell in love with two: Angelâs Share by Killian & Tihota by Indultđ„° Because itâs winter and the holidays, I like to change up my scents to more vanilla, boozy & cozy. Thereâs so many beautiful vanilla scents though but these two..â€ïžâđ„đ„°
Ooo great picks! đ I still need to get my nose on Tihota!!
@@AnneLauren btw what to expect: I compare Tihota to vanilla ice cream or liqueur, very creamy and very linear..I would layer this mostly with Killian.
@@amorgan88 sounds yummy!
Is your Mon Guerlain an EDP or EDT? Thanks!
I have delina exclusif and I am so in love with that fragrance, along with mon guerlian. I am like you and now I want the 100 ml of the intense!!đđâ€ïž I think maybe you should sample Hermetica sandlesun, it has Bergamont, hazelnut, vanilla and myrrh I think, itâs so so good!!! â€ïžâ€ïž Great vid, I know you said you donât like fog but you tested Gris charnel and though it was beautiful, I am very intrigued by that one, what did you get from it?
Sounds super yummy but really nutty scents aren't for me unfortunately! Gris Charnel is a rainy, foggy, overcast kind of day fragrance. The opening is my favorite with the spicy cardamom and the black tea note. It's unique, edgy, cozy, creamy, a little powdery. The sandalwood and vetiver give it a nice woodiness, and the tonka and fig give it some sweetness. Dry down gives me vibes of Versace Crystal Noir a bit. đ
@@AnneLauren ok awesome, thanks for describing it for me, it sounds like something I would really dig!! As far as sandalsun, I didnât get super nutty from it, itâs more just really warm, in the vain of like the sol bum bum cream, if that makes any sense!! LOL!!
@@MelBscents oh ok!! That sounds good!
Have you tried Piano Santal by L'orchestre Parfums? I think you'd like it since you like Santal Vanille too. :) Piano Santal is a really milky, creamy, slightly spicey, ridiculously cozy sandalwood. Bloomingdale's just started carrying L'orchestre Parfum. I nearly jumped for joy when I found out.đ€Ș
I havenât but that sounds amazinggg! Definitely adding to my to-try list!! đ thank you!
Big fan of Vetiver Elemi from The 7 Virtues. My only bottle from them actually. Santal Vanille was my #2 (picked up Zara's S4nd4lW00d instead) and Vanilla Woods smelled just like Zara's RWA! Certainly can't get enough of Muse edp. Now I don't use the word SEXY very often...and I won't here...but yeah. I just DID. đ Definitely suits you Anne.
Haha thank you! Iâll have to try Vetiver Elemi! Iâm very impressed with the brand
@@AnneLauren It's more of a sparkling take on vetiver. Not earthy, slightly sweet and lasts forever.
@@justaddlight literally just ordered a sample ;)
Hey girl how is the lasting power of BDKâs rouge smoking? You SOLD me on the scent profile but wondering on the performanceđ€©
I'd describe it as moderate!
Yas Santal Vanille smells just like 33 with vanilla. Oh yes girl please join me and do a âme in a bottle perfumes videoâ!
Will do!! đ
Another great video! đ€ I just went on a fragrance buying kick the last few weeks! I keep going back and forth with the Delinas. I have samples Iâll revisit again in the next few months⊠maybe Iâll purchased one for myself for Valentineâs Day. Funny but I just finished my bottle of Mon Guerlain! I purchased a backup of the EDP as soon as I started running low and ended up purchasing the Intense version. I canât be without it. I donât have a signature scent but if I did, it would be Mon Guerlain EDP. Loved your description of it BTW. As far as discoveriesâŠas someone else mentioned Divine Vanille (Iâm also thinking about trying The Musc), PDM Herod, Kilian Princess, Vanilla DioramaâŠI could go on!! đ have not been unhappy with any of your recommendations I have purchased! I am hoping to get my hands on Note!!! Thank you!!
Iâm so glad youâve been happy with my recommendations!! â€ïžâ€ïž When I FIRST tested Delina it was a big like but the more I wore it, it became a lifer. Maybe one day youâll feel the same? Yesss Mon Guerlain is so good!! It seriously never fails me, I canât wait to get the Intense đ. Great discovery list!!
@@AnneLauren yes, itâs funny how our noses can change! I hope you love Mon Guerlain Intense!! I heard someone once describe it as having a white chocolate feel and I agreeâŠitâs so good! I also have been learning more about middle eastern fragrancesâŠtalk about deep and rich (not even talking about money ârichâ but that kind of rich too bc the ones Iâve smelled smell like money đ)âŠand complex â€ïžâ€ïž.
@@star579_Chandra I do! Iâve tried it before đ not much of a blind buyer haha
We hope you will like it âš
@@AnneLauren ahhh ok! Blind buying is sooo risky!! đ
I have vanilla note, but honestly feel some plastic, not natural sent. Somehow for that reason do not use that perfume much.
ooooo đđ„°
ALWAYS a boss woman!
Thank you love!! â€ïžđ
I always say I AM angel muse. No, really. That's me in a smell. Chocolate patchouli musky dreams.
Yes!!! đđŒđđŒđđŒ
Hello beautiful.
Hey! đđŒâ€ïž
I don't understand why all youtube is full of videos copying the same fragrances recommended by Demi. There is thousands of frags out there and most female youtubers try and recommend what Demi already did 6 months ago. This is not a criticism against you at all, it's just a thought, I would personally love to see new things and not over and over hyping the same fragrances.
Totally understand where you're coming from! I try a mix of fragrances, some hyped and some I've never heard of. I try ones that are hyped because I'm genuinely curious about them, and my subscribers will ask for my thoughts on them. While Demi has talked about the majority of this list (she has an expansive collection and has been doing this for many years!) I've personally never heard her mention Coconut Fizz, Note Vanillee, or Santal Vanille :)
Rouge Smoking is a mystery to me: I didn't like it when I first tried it and I'd be so embarrassed to admit which fragrance I thought it smelled like that first time because the second time around it was NOTHING like that at all. I'm truly puzzled at how I could have made such a profound error in assessing this fragrance. Did I pick the wrong sample up?! It's one of my strangest olfactory errors and I'll never understand. The first time around I picked up on way more spice than is actually in there. It's a really gorgeous fragrance and I'm glad I turned back to it that second time. Oooh, talking about mysteries: why do some fragrance houses have no websites, no clear line of communication & advertising? It's beyond dodgy. Who runs a business without a professional online presence or some way of letting customers know where they can buy your products. I'm really put off brands like Kemi Blending Magic and Costamor. I do searches for 'Aurum' (KBM) and 'Sugarwood' (Costamor) and just find NOTHING about each company online. Maybe I'll eventually sniff out ONE distributor but aside from that...crickets. Who operates a business like this?! I challenge anybody to find a Costamor website or distributor aside from Luckyscent in the US. Running a high end niche house via instagram is odd, if that indeed is what Kemi are doing. Also worth sharing as a bit of hilarious gossip: one place I found Aurum for sale was a Spanish website and it was almost 250 GBP and the other was-- get ready for it-- Walmart in America. What the hell is going on? Imagine a high end, expensive luxe brand sold via Instagram...and Walmart. I'm sure I don't need to mention that there was a price discrepancy too. ????
