These mirror dash cams are a good concept. It would be good if Korean manufacturers like Thinkware & Blackvue would experiment with them and add capacitors instead of batteries. Sometimes its hard to discreet a dash cam if the center mirror has a rain sensor with a plastic cover, like the case of my Thinkware FA200 on my 2017 Ford Escape Titanium. Even if I were to purchase a wedge style camera like the Thinkware U1000, it would be way too low on the windshield.

Very thorough and professional 👍 This product has lots of nice reviews. I live in Phoenix so I am a little worried about the Heat during the summer. I think the literature said up to 150 degrees which is about what the interior of our cars get to in the Sun during the summer months! I'll be using the sun shade for sure.
Yeah heat is always going to be an issue especially for those of us who live in a hot climate. The sunshade on the windscreen will help keep the interior temps down. I found also putting screens up on the side windows that the sun will hit also helps and cracking the windows too.. The best I could achieve inside the cabin was 10C above outside temps. The real problem is the heat conduction of anything attached to the windscreen...i e. The rear view mirror... I have found even with the shade up the base of the rear view mirror is quite scalding to the touch . I think I have measured it up to about 60+C ..I used to use a normal dashcam attached to the windscreen via an insulation buffer that cut conduction temps or i just used to take down the camera. You should check what temps your mirror plastic reaches if considering this dashcam. Parking out of direct sunlight will help.

@@MzClementine ... That's also an option Some people don't want to be carrying it around with them. I tried various things to keep it cool while left in the parked car as i wanted to leave it up as much as possible.. This is important too if you plan on using parking mode.. Sometimes i took the camera down and left it in the car where it wouldn't get exposed to the sun.. And then sometimes i would forget to connect it back when i started driving...so.. it's what works best for you...
The NexiGo 12" camera is the right size for my 2013 pathfinder. I have a smaller size mirror that does the same thing minus the GPS. But the factor mirror is big than the mirror camera I use. That was a problem for me.
Dail2fast can review a fisheye camera mirror 360-degree view with a rear camera and a side camera that goes on the driver-side mirror. I want to know what you think.
I heard there can be a lot of glares under certain conditions. It is due to the limitation of this type of cameras as it is too far from the windshield.
I love this Dash Cam, just wondering is there a way to use the rear view mirror and capture the road as well?

None that I am aware of. Homelink pretty much owns this market, and I don't see the mirror dashcam company adding this feature which will also add the overall cost.

Q1: depend if your accessory outlet is always powered or tied to ignition 12v. If it's ignition 12v, then the dashcam will turn off when you turn off the ignition. If it's tied to constant 12v, then the dashcam will always be powered and drain your car battery until it's dead. Q2: you can't exceed the manufacturer's suggested card size because it will not read the card.

For parking mode, you need to install the hardwire kit that gets power from the fuse box (link of hardwire kit in description). This does not have wifi connection for app connection. If you need the video clip, take the SD card out and plug it into your computer.

It does not do that. This does not have sonar backup sensor.
