I’m LOVING the yuminashi variation on my ADV150. I have a malossi clutch and heavy spring on the way so I’ll give a update on how it feels after thats installed. I’m also just running the 12g rollers that came with the variator, I know allot of people recommend and say sliders are better but nobody ever explains why there “better”.
I’m a big guy and I like the Navi! I’m considering one for around town and dirt road/light trails at buddy’s property in northern Michigan. I had a Honda Elite 110 that pulled me around at 45 mph just fine, but it said that’s all she wrote at 50.
Here in 2024 iam hearing rumors of honda testing the market for the adv 350 in u.s. actually reaching out to some influencers for testing, but if they do bring it to the u.s iam thinking probably like 7800$ msrp definitely over 7k$
no dis us chunkier fellas (hey least we're taller :P ) - was it you talking about mirror extenders - im looking at the video and notice kevin has the ones i did have on my cb500f - the rack is just argh - cos the tubes are so far out it can do nothing but flex - if you put stuff in it it would only flex more with the weight and id be worried about fatigue - omg you just pulled in and then mentioned snappys - I HATE YOU im hungry now lol
Yes, he has his own channel ( @ExcelsiorDDZ ). The Navi is my scooter, and I was riding his ADV150 during this video. I mounted the SHAD plate on top of the Honda rack with 2 bolts drilled through the plate and two more bolts with the curved SHAD brace/bracket clamping beneath the bar of the Honda rack. It's very secure, but the Honda rack flexes and allows the top box to bounce around more than I would like. I think the welds on two mounting plates under the seat might eventually fail from flexing, so I don't carry anything heavy in the top box. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
One guy no wallet, one guy no credit cards. You guys are making this interesting. Lol. Question, does changing the rollers and those little internals affect the warranty, if it's still under warranty?
Unscripted and naked... just the way I like it! 🤣 Changing the variator and other drive components won't void the warranty in the USA because they are classified as user add-ons or bolt-on accessories (not internal components of the engine, transmission, or electrical systems). At least, that's how I understand things from reading the warranty's fine print and other case studies over the decades. If something in the final drive were to fail related to an aftermarket variator (e.g., variator grenaded and damaged the drive housing), then the Honda warranty wouldn't cover those parts. However, other items on the bike (e.g., engine, electrical, suspension, brakes, etc) would still be covered as those are different operating components outside the scope of the bolt-on accessory. 😉👍 --QM
Howdy, Danny! I purchased several of those tool tubes (manual canisters) from Agri Supply a few years ago: www.agrisupply.com/manual-canister-lrg-new-style/p/67670A/ . You can also find similar ones (if not the exact same ones) at Cycle Gear: www.cyclegear.com/accessories/dryspec-tool-tube-kit?sku_id=964439 . The inner diameter is 3.0-3.25" so the 30 oz (887 ml) fuel bottles fit inside perfectly. I mounted the tool tube on the side of the factory rack with heavy-duty black zip-ties: czcams.com/video/Rq7IB7cS6IU/video.html . Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

C'mon down! I'll be doing another scheduled live stream tomorrow night (Saturday, 4/30/2022) at 8pm CDT. We will be doing some long-distance rides in the next few weeks out to the Texas Twisted Sisters (May 6-8) and for the Texas Tiddler's Run (May 13-15). The Bikes and Pizza event in Round Rock, TX, is held on the first Tuesday of each month (?), so that is coming up soon as well (May 3rd). Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Hey Kevin if you're reading this, how does the ADV150 do on fuel economy? My current CBF190 has been giving me problems for the past year, feel like its time to retire it. Im thinking either the ADV150 or PCX160.
I've seen several pictures of those, but I think it's just an aftermarket kit. There are a few channels that are doing videos on that with a walk around, presenting it like it's a new model from Honda. I don't think so. It's just an aftermarket kit, but it looks really good! 😉👍 --QM
Don't be so quick to judge if you don't know the back story. 😉 I offered to let him stay at my place, but he wanted to cash in some free miles and stay at a hotel. I also suggested that we motocamp in my back yard because he bought a new tent that he wanted to try out. He was just getting into the motocamping game at this time, but he didn't know how to get started. I'm game for sleeping outdoors anytime! --QM

I'm still using the GoPro Hero 7 Black camera for my helmet camera. It's smaller and lighter than the Hero 8-10 models, and it works well. I will occasionally ride with my Hero 8 Black and the MAX360 for additional camera angles. All of the editing is done in Adobe Premiere Pro, where I apply color correction and audio normalization.
