Petey is playing injured. His wrist is nowhere near 100%. As a player that has injured his wrist in the past, it's a longer road to recovery than most people think. The first thing to go is your wrist and snap shot. Then your ability to check, battle and stick handle is greatly affected. Then there's your passing strength and accuracy along with your ability to win face offs... all affected. So what do you do? You go to your slap shot because it utilizes your wrist the least and then realize that it's also weaker and less accurate so you use your body more, which Petterson has been using in droves. It was apparent at the all-star break that his shot accuracy and speed was measurably down from last year. Just ask Brock how long it took for his wrist to heal and get his wrist/snap shot back. From experience it takes easily a year till you have your strength and you're not feeling any pain with heavy use, sometimes longer. I'm glad we signed him as he will heal and get his complete game back, but I am concerned about how effective he'll be in the playoffs. Here's hoping it not as bad as his play is reflecting. Go Nucks GO!
@@Nickh4929 I'm hoping we see these lines and I'm thinking we just might at some point.. Miller, Pettersson, Boeser Höglander, Lindholm, Mikheyev Joshua, Blueger, Garland Podkolzin, Suter, Lafferty Centers are interchangeable.
@@johnnybaxter1953 lol no, but I've played hockey for most of my life and have dealt with knee and wrist injuries. The knee was easier to recover from than my wrist.
You may be right. We did see him quietly taping his wrist on the bench a few weeks back and he hasn't been the same player since. Having said that, we do know from Petey's history that he suffers from lengthy bouts of confidence issues. Hopefully they put the Lotto line back together for a while to restart his confidence. It would help Boeser as well.
wish if only the rest of the playoff series would look as doerble as this... i wish... waited for too long for the lord stanley to be paraded through his namesake park...
It's never gonna happen, BUT YES. In fact, Petey doesn't have a NMC until July 1, 2025! So we've got over a year to deal him if we really want to. But I highly doubt the Canucks would trade him.
Petterson will become invisible, just bench petterson, , put someone who will play tough hockey, if Canucks coach continues keep petterson in the line up , Nashville sweeps Vancouver Canucks

I believe in Petey
You're the only one who does.
Sure ok @@glennhankins6927
the only thing i'm seeing is ep isn't the same player we've seen the last 3 years. he seems to be lacking confidence.

It will be difficult for the Canucks if Petey does not show up! May be he should go for an ice bath to wake him up a bit.
A pay reduction would be a good wake up call.
New records for petey no worry 🤠🍻🚬😸🩸
If he craps the bed in the playoffs, can we trade him before his new contract?
Nah he is legit stuck forever
$92.8 Million ??.....oops !..... Alvin wants a re-do.

Jack Hughes deserves Norris Trophy. He’s much more then a scoring defenseman
Jack Hughes is a devils forward😂
You did yourself no favours in regards to hockey cred when you mixed up the brothers' names. 🤦♂
