Silent Hill is a 2006 supernatural horror film directed by Christophe Gans and written by Roger Avary, based on the video game series of the same name published by Konami. The first installment in the Silent Hill film series, it stars Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, Deborah Kara Unger, Kim Coates, Tanya Allen, Alice Krige and Jodelle Ferland. The plot follows Rose da Silva, who takes her adopted daughter, Sharon, to the town of Silent Hill, for which Sharon cries while sleepwalking. Rose is involved in a car accident near the town and awakens to find Sharon missing. While searching for her daughter, she fights a local cult and begins to uncover Sharon's connection to the town's dark past.

Jeff Danna is an award-winning Canadian film composer. Born in Burlington, Ontario, to a musical family active in local theatre and church choir, Danna was a reluctant young piano student but found solace in an electric guitar left behind at his home by a friend. Unknowingly following in the path of three generations of Winnipeg mandolin players, progress came quickly. He began playing professionally at the age of 15 until a hand injury brought his performance career to a halt at 22. He has composed or co-composed scores for a wide range of films and television, including The Boondock Saints (1999), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Silent Hill (2006), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Storks (2016), The Breadwinner (2017), The Addams Family (2019), Onward (2020), Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia (2020), Nora Twomey’s My Father’s Dragon (2022) and Julia (2022). His older brother, composer Mychael Danna, is a frequent collaborator, and the two have received Emmy nominations for their work on Camelot (2011), Tyrant (2014-2016), and Alias Grace (2017). Additionally, Danna has been nominated for six Annie Awards, won five BMI Film & TV Awards, a Gemini Award, a Genie award, two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and 17 SOCAN Awards. - Hudba
I'm not even gonna complain cause I'm glad the movie versions of these songs are available, but, why are they all named something completely different?

This OST has a long and tangled story for sure . The original soundtrack that I prepared got caught up in the legalities between the film studio and the Konami ( as i was told , anyways ).I had prepared this soundtrack , but it was shelved. People asked me about it for years , but i wasn't allowed to let it get out there . Then 2 months ago , one of the subscribers here pointed out to me an Eastern European CZcams channel that had my version of this sound track uploaded on it. I was kind of shocked, because only one other person had these particular versions that I had prepared in 2006 .I guess he felt like he would do whatever he wanted , and it got uploaded to that other channel. So i thought " i guess it doesn't matter now " and I uploaded it here also, and I used the same titles as that other Channel had used ( which were not the ones I had used ) , in case that was how the Silent Hill fans knew these particular pieces. So here it is. It's mostly Akira's music that I had to tweak , write intros and outros to , and join together and then re-record it all to sound properly impactful in a modern 5.1 theatre . It was an interesting job , but I didn't have that much to do with the creative aspect of it , compared to the scores that I usually compose , including SH2.
