Tyrant is an American drama television series created by director and writer Gideon Raff and developed by Howard Gordon and Craig Wright. The first season of Tyrant consisting of 10 episodes premiered on American cable network FX on June 24, 2014, and ended on August 26, 2014.
Jeff Danna is an award-winning Canadian film composer. Born in Burlington, Ontario, to a musical family active in local theatre and church choir, Danna was a reluctant young piano student but found solace in an electric guitar left behind at his home by a friend. Unknowingly following in the path of three generations of Winnipeg mandolin players, progress came quickly. He began playing professionally at the age of 15 until a hand injury brought his performance career to a halt at 22. He has composed or co-composed scores for a wide range of films and television, including The Boondock Saints (1999), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Silent Hill (2006), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Storks (2016), The Breadwinner (2017), The Addams Family (2019), Onward (2020), Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia (2020), Nora Twomey’s My Father’s Dragon (2022) and Julia (2022). His older brother, composer Mychael Danna, is a frequent collaborator, and the two have received Emmy nominations for their work on Camelot (2011), Tyrant (2014-2016), and Alias Grace (2017). Additionally, Danna has been nominated for six Annie Awards, won five BMI Film & TV Awards, a Gemini Award, a Genie award, two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and 15 SOCAN Awards. - Hudba

I miss that show....
I watched the show in the UK when it aired and it is still one of my favourite shows I've ever watched. Very intense and emotional show at times but such an interesting story and cast! This theme song and the music throughout is so captivating and incredibly beautiful! Thanks for sharing it on here and making this memorable music! 💖

Show title songs have been quite good lately (the shows I've enjoyed watching anyway). This was easily one of my favorite songs and I took great pleasure watching a new episode every week so I can hear the title song come on. This song begs to be heard on a good home theater surround sound system especially towards the end when it's bass heavy.

OMG, I LOVE Middle Eastern-inspired music. I also enjoyed the show, but it’s a shame it was canceled. Nonetheless, the show’s theme is absolutely beautiful. These composers should have just composed their own music inspired from the show, the ethnic motifs, and released a completely separate album.

What instrument is being used from 0:02 to 0:08 and 0:08 to 0:17? I’ve always wondered what instruments were used to produce those two sounds.
Hi iWTF , I'm glad you that like the Tyrant score. It's one of my personal favorites among our catalogue.The instrument that you hear in those 2 spots is called a Kamaan , played by the amazing Loga Torkian! We always look forward to the opportunity to work with Loga , and he and his Kamaan are heavily featured on The Breadwinner score as well.

Glad that you like the tunes! As for Tyrant , there is a full play video at the end of the list there ...but after you mentioned it , I realized that it’s blocked in-country . It should not be , so we are applying to get that lifted . Stand by !

What instruments were used in this one?
Gideon Raff's stories are always a hit but the problem is that his shows never get renewed after 2-3 seasons.
I've watched his POW and was hoping if they releases the 3rd season of it but they didn't. They left the show at a very High point. Same as with Tyrant.
