The Gospel of John is a 2003 film that is the story of Jesus' life as recounted by the Gospel of John. It is a motion picture that has been adapted for the screen on a word-for-word basis from the American Bible Society's Good News Bible. This three-hour epic feature film follows John's Gospel precisely, without additions to the story from other Gospels, or omission of complex passages.
Jeff Danna is an award-winning Canadian film composer. Born in Burlington, Ontario, to a musical family active in local theatre and church choir, Danna was a reluctant young piano student but found solace in an electric guitar left behind at his home by a friend. Unknowingly following in the path of three generations of Winnipeg mandolin players, progress came quickly. He began playing professionally at the age of 15 until a hand injury brought his performance career to a halt at 22. He has composed or co-composed scores for a wide range of films and television, including The Boondock Saints (1999), Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), Silent Hill (2006), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), The Good Dinosaur (2015), Storks (2016), The Breadwinner (2017), The Addams Family (2019), Onward (2020), Guillermo Del Toro’s Tales of Arcadia (2020), Nora Twomey’s My Father’s Dragon (2022) and Julia (2022). His older brother, composer Mychael Danna, is a frequent collaborator, and the two have received Emmy nominations for their work on Camelot (2011), Tyrant (2014-2016), and Alias Grace (2017). Additionally, Danna has been nominated for six Annie Awards, won five BMI Film & TV Awards, a Gemini Award, a Genie award, two Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and 15 SOCAN Awards.

This film is completely underrated and I think it blows passion of the christ why out, it's just so simple and humble and by far my favourite movie
Guys, you know what I miss most if our civilation would colapse? I would find and make food, a home and protect those I love, I don't care about Apple, Internet, cars or all that stuff... but music....we would loose all that music...master pieces like this one. That would hurt me most. I will survive but have never such music again.
Incredibly underrated movie... The music simply divine.. Christ our God please speed up Your Second Coming.

Blessings Jeff, my name is Donna L. Young and I am a full-time Evangelist. The Gospel of John is by far my favorite movie and music score. I've listened to it for years gaining inspiration and encouragement. I am wondering if you might have an instrumental version of this song, The Prayer, that I might use to sing the LORD's prayer in Aramaic. I would, of course, give all credit to you for the background music as I am not looking to gain anything other than bringing glory to God this coming Resurrection Sunday. Hi Donna. Thanks for the nice note.I'm glad you know the film , it's not a particularly well known title! I'm afraid there are no remixed versions of any of the tracks from 2003 when we did the film in London. So all that is available is what is on the soundtrack. Thanks for checking in with me .

What are the lyrics to "The Prayer". I listen to it at least once a day. I'm not sure what the lyrics mean but they sound so beautiful that I tear up.

She sang bible passages in Aramaic , and the one I used on this piece i believe was from the Book of Numbers in the OT. can't remember which verses at this point - that was 2003!
