Just bought one last week. Had blocked dpf on a 2012 Mercedes b180. Used the live data to help diagnose issues. After cleaning dpf ,went to reset menu, did a 15 minute soot level check, % was 400, now much lower, and not showing soot level fault. Think originally failed to do regen due to failed thermostat. Thanks for your videos on the dpf cleaning.
Very helpful video! Having trouble with an S-max, its the resetting/adaptation that is killing me. hopefully this gets me where i need to be, everything else was sorted out, DPF, diff press sensor, 5th injector. Bought this based on the video, hopefully it does my DIY'er jobs. All the best from back on our home turf!

Hi jimmy I’ve had p0101 for MAF sensor, my query is if I unplug the sensor when it’s running will it die like a petrol engine does if it’s bad PS I’ve got exhaust fumes smell in car as well now cheers jimmy
Been looking at this, unless I'm wrong, will only work on Pre Secure gateway vehicles up to 2017/2018, bit of a concern.

Launch says RH Front wheel Sensor issue, but all wheels are reading wheel motion?

Great video. I'm trying to get this to work on my 206 2015 sprinter 2.1L. Tried sitting still and driving and it won't do it. Gave ignition circuit message driving, and no clue why it won't do it when still as the parameters seem to be met...
I drove on the highway for about 40 miles trying to get it to start and it wouldn't. As soon as I pulled into the driveway I tried the standstill method and it started doing the dpf regeneration. So yes, it works, more detailed instructions and messages would be helpful.
A good test would be to know if it can work effectively in diagnosing and display data for the older 2.5 VW crafter as that a right Jekyll and Hyde.
Also interested to know if any of these universal tools are up to speed with EVs especially some of the more complicated brake bleeding routines.
Even my expensive unit struggles to get any info from them
@@ORileysAutos I bought VCDS but even that’s limited and I find it a very awkward tool to use.
It can’t even activate cruise control for the 2E crafter variants . However the Kufatec dongle enabled it it in seconds!
It is a shame we have to cart about so many different tools isn’t it

Yes oil change is recommended as it gets diluted with diesel during a regen

Can I inject some fluid through the oxygen sensor's opening to facilitate the cleaning with forced regeneration, can it be GAT DPF cleaning fluid or maybe even 1 litre of brake cleaner fluid? I already poured DPF additive to the tank and sprayed DPF cleaner in through the oxygen sensor opening but I wonder if I can pour liquid for the forced regeneration? Can I do it with MA PROFESSIONAL - DPF Filter Cleaner 5L?
Putting fluid in during a regeneration will lower the dpf temperature and cause the regen to fail
Jimmy, after a few goes with my new Launch 129x, I have a simple question. Where is the best place to get my vehicles live data parameters. I have a opel zafira 1.7cdti 2014. I was hoping there would be an extra column showing NORMAL specs, a bit like when you have a medical; Actual 6 (Normal Range 2-10)..thanks for your education..
By the way, Regen on a Opel Zafira 1.7cdti worked on this launch 129x 2023 version. It was at 92% which i thought was high (range is 0-250), not 0-100%. After a Regen and a 30 minute run it showed a saturation of 49%, down from 92%. The tool is very good, but, i cannot seem to find Fuel Trims which i wanted…

Hello Jimmy , i have a 2011 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 HDI, just had the Service light come on also DPF additive to tank low. Can this scanner also reset the ECU for this condition ( after i have topped up the additive tank )

Great video. In another of your videos you used a different diagnostic tool to tell a Range Rover Sport that its failed DPF had been replaced. Would a Launch 129 EVO be able to tell a vehicle that the DPF had been replaced ? i.e. could you have made that same Range Rover video using the Launch 129 EVO ?

Hi Jimmy I have a 325d on 58 done scan and dpf fault is there soot and ash were high I’ve done a regen after pumping some cleaner product in the pipe on the side of the cat and soot came down to 3g but ash is 49.7 and that won’t go down what do you think I should do?

Personally I think the resets and replacement parts should be in the same place in 1 area, had my dpf cleaned but couldn't find how to tell the system it had been replaced eventually found it in resets.
I'm looking for a tool to do this now on my e250. Dpf collapsed and got a second hand one professionally cleaned but the % is stuck at 165. I'm surprised my icarsof can't do it.

Hello, I have a big problem with my toyota auris 1.4 d4d.
Dpf was cleaned and now the diff pressure is 10mbar on idle. But the car keep to regenerate every 60-70km. The mechanics doesnt know how to reset the soot, the command doesnt work and the car keep to regenerate even of the filter is not blocked. Can you help me please?
After static regeneration you muss learn ECU that is dpf and diferential pressure sensor new !!

It seems all of these diags like Thinkdiag and Launch all have the same rouletter VIN, Menus, buttons and so on. Whoever wrote this program must have made an absolute fortune as it's used by every diag company.

Will this work with Citroen ? Is there such a tool that can power up the AdBlue motor and function test the injector and leaving it hanging out of the manifold so you can see it working or spraying ? C4 Cactus flashed up with Urea fault and poked my head underneath and removed injector and bench tested it ... AdBlue tank full with crystal preventative additive also noticed it had an Elyos tank cover at r/h side front of rear wheel and looking through with an Autec unit it seems to be connected containing 1.14 ltrs fluid within ?

Doubt it. Don't even think his tab 3 does it on Citroen. I have seen him do it on a mk8 transit though

Looking at buying one of these to keep on the work van, does it allow you into ad blue systems?
That's what I'm wondering too. I'm going through the adblue nightmare at the moment on my Pug and would like a tool that can help me look into that. Obviously, diagbox/lexia can (for about £150), but that's for PSA group cars only and I'd like one that would work with the other brands of diesels I have to look at sometimes too.

@@pureoffroad thanks, I didn't see it listed as a feature, but Launch seen to be great at adding new stuff to existing tools/software.
The CRP909X does list adblue level resetting and nox sensor stored value resetting, so at least that's an option. Another £100-150 on top though 😬
