Thanks! I’m super excited too!
Incredible ! i just bought this printer and im waiting for its arrival and this video comes out ! perfect timing !
You will really like it! Congratulations!
This is the one i reccomended to my friend last week, he got it and loves it!
Nice recommendation!
Trade Wars 2002! That was my jam back in the day.
Hey new subscriber here and new owner of the Neptune 4 plus. Just wanted to mention that I'm also getting that squeek and can't seem to find it. So please let me know if you do. And some bonus info for anyone one looking to pick this up, when the bed recognizes the temp has reached 60c it hasn't actual done so completely for the entire bed. So I give it 15 minutes to preheat before even leveling to compensate for thermal expansion otherwise you'll find different results leveling everytime.
Hey! Welcome in and thanks for sharing that you have the squeak too!
😊Thanks for sharing your honest experience. Maybe an addition to my collection!! ❤
Very welcome!
I like the CRT being the overhead. Really cool!
Fun huh?!
Great vid LM
Thank you Shane!
Dude omg you were talking my language with the old tech. I remember assembling my first computer solo and it was a 486 DX2-66 and i had to do the manual cpu switches LOL. I thought I was such a power user!
Awesome!
Love Elegoo filament. My first PC was a 8088 with 768 bytes of memory (yes, bytes). That was 256 bytes of extended memory with 512 bytes standard (or 640 standard with 128 extended.. many moons ago).
Elegoo filament! Also, that is awesome to hear! I can’t wait to share this new content!
Subscribed to the second channel and notifications are turned on, looking forward to the new content!
Thank you Larry!
Oh, Wildcat BBS! I ran a 2 line BBS on that in the early 90's.
DUDE! How awesome is that!? I remember finally saving up enough money to buy it! I always used free alternatives until then.
❤❤❤ I love it lm
Thanks!
Enjoying my 4 Plus. None of the issues others have reported. I use the Elegoo version of Cura for regular prints, and S3D with a 4 Plus profile for Lithophanes. I've only had the printer for a few weeks so it's not fully tuned, but it's very quickly almost as tuned as well as my older X1.
I think I will buy it next month. I bet that will be massive leap from my Ender 3 Max Neo to this beast.
@@karolgolden231 my issues with most of enders printers is that they are slow. I'm have a ender 3 neo V2. Ender still sells it's old models. While everyone else clears them out for new versions, better and faster . My Neo, It worked great, but slow. Some prints I don't even bother because it takes a day or two. Neptune plus much faster. Only problem I'm having now is that I'm going through filament so much faster now lol
@karolgolden231 did you buy the printer? If so, is it worth it? I also have a max neo but I want to get a new printer.
@@jaimefish173 Yeah print quality it's really good but they are damn slow. My longest single part print on this printer was almost 60 hours, lol.
@@axb.2830 Hello man. No I haven't because I've had some unexpected expenses but I think it's really worth to buy this printer. Fast, good quality prints I think you won't regret it.
I sold mine. It's just to inconstant. It took 2 firmware upgrades to even make it usable. It's awesome you got great prints off your's. Ultimately I got a Kobra 2 Plus.I'm pretty happy with that machine.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience!
just ordered mine :)
Congrats!
Hey I was wondering if you’d recommend buying the creality ke or the Neptune 4 plus. I could get either but I’m not sure if the ke would be better for more precise and articulated parts which I’d be interested in.
Did you ever decide?!
I am stuck. Trying to decide between this printer and the Sidewinder 4x Plus. They seem very alike. What I am wondering how the noiselevels are on those two compared ?
Did you ever decide?
I printed out a version of the mushroom that wasn’t nearly that big (even accounting for the extra 33%)… on my SV05 the spots did not fit in the spots on the lid… I tried resizing them the best I could but it never really worked. When I got my P1S, I reprinted it and everything fit perfectly. The spots still don’t make a ton of contact with the indents in the lid but I used enough glue to get you high lmao… I really need to get some 3D Gloop!; I hate using super glue 🤣🤣🤣
Ah! This was the second model I tried, first model the spots didn’t fit either! Wasted a lot of filament on a different printer!
That price is killer!
Almost too good to be true! These are amazing machines.
You should have done a small comparison with Sidewinder X4 Plus! I'm stuck deciding between the two. They are so similar. Regardless of this, thanks for making great reviews and other informational videos, I've spent the last 4 nights watching them :D
We'll definitely do some comparisons.
Thanks for the video. This helped me decide on trying an elegoo Neptune 4 max series printer. Question is. Once I get the printer connected to the local network/wifi. How do I get to klipper?
Get the IP address from the interface and then access it via your web browser on your computer.
@@LoyalMoses thank you I finally got it to work. Looks like the ip address was being blocked. Now to figure out how to use the slicer! Thank you again
Thanks for the video. Question - Can you tell the print speed in mm cube/ sec? Also I have always used Marlin based printers. This being Klipper machine, does it need Klipper skills to calibrate the m/c or work with it in general? I am just not sure where and how much Klipper I need to learn. Thanks again
I hadn't considered that measurement for print speed.
No klipper skills needed!
Can you do a comparison with this Nepune4+ and the Artillery SW-4+? They seem similar in price range currently.. comparatively the SW-4+ has X/Y linear rails but I hear it has some FW issues (not keeping Z-offset), Neptune4+ has accelerometer and Elegoo seems to be much better overall in terms of QC and customer support. Since you have experience with both, what are your thoughts? Which would you be more likely to keep/use if you had to pick?
I'm thinking about getting a second printer to upgrade from my Ender3v2.. I'd love the bigger volume and Klipper. Just need some help deciding.
I’ve had great experiences with both, but I would likely lean towards the Elegoo. The Elegoo also has more aftermarket upgrades available as well.
I can definitely do a video on that!
3 year old filament still good to print right away after being out in the open is great but there’s a lot of filament that you could buy now that you would never be able to use 1 year…QC needs to be a thing again
Cheap filament is just so frustrating too!
That's a very cool video, thanks for that! I'm actually looking for buying a "helmet class" 3D printer. And I was going to buy a Anycubic Kobra 2 Max, but then I learned about the software and all about that to use Wifi you need to use the phone app and thing like that. And I know it's gonna bugs me ...
The way you explain the workflow in this video, "plug the RJ45, Put the IP in the software an boom, launch the print right from you slicer from you PC", is what I want. So do you know if there is way to do that with a Kobra 2? Or is ther other machines about the same size or bigger, with same quality, same price range, but LAN/Wifi connected and easy to use like that?
And did you tried the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max and the Anycubic Kobra 2 Max? I looked for but didn't find any video on those two on your channel. I'd love to hear your thoughts on these two machines.
Anyway, thanks again for all you videos, very helpful!
Thank you!
great video. been looking at this printer too. you didnt mention it but im assuming this would be considered a helmet printing kind of printer
Yes! This is helmet class! Thank you!
@@LoyalMoses thank you for confirming. Gooniesneversaydie80 over and out
Dude you're talking my language - CRTs are the best way to appreciate retro gaming
Heck yes!!!
Oh my gosh!!! I want that mario head!! Did you create it, or could you share the location of the file please @Loyal Moses
STL is in the description!
How did you get this printer to work?
I got one decent print out of it and everything since then gets shredded after the first layer, genuinely don't know what to do with it anymore.
Oh no! Are prints coming loose from the bed, or what’s happening? Join our discord, we can help!

Awesome looking printer and some pretty nice features for the price point. What score did you end up giving it using your system?
That video soon!
Quick question have you reviewed the anycubic cobra 2 plus and which machine do you think is better that or neptune for a beginner?
I have that machine right here in the studio!
Make a 486 DX4 100 and you could use the CPU to heat the bead on a 3d printer ;) Does days where crasy.
Lol
Sooooo.....
How big of a TPU o-ring can you print on that thing? 😆
Great content as always Loyal!
LOL! I was so tempted to do a full spool of TPU as a giant o-ring!
Maybe if Loyal eats that super mushroom he'll become a big boy!🤣
If you don't understand that joke, come join us Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:00 PM Pacific (8:00 Eastern) on Twitch for the LM Show!
Hehehe! 💜
Can it heat portions of the bed for small objects? ( same Q for the larger printers on the market if you know)
Subscribed to the new channel 👍🏻
No, all at once on this machine.
It's getting to the point where upgrading older machine is more expensive than buy ones with all the Klipper features are on them. Makes the newer model much more "Starter" friendly.
I agree! Amazing how fast this all changed!
It's a bit late, but happy MAR10 Day!
I MISSED IT! 😭
Just looked the Plus printer up as Elegoo are having a Sale on, this printer is now £283.99p on the UK site. ( need to save up I guess as bills come 1st sadly )
I really wish to get it to replace two other 3D printers I am now going to dismantle due to them being a pain to use even after I spent time and money upgrading them!
( Aquila G32 chip model now upgraded with dual lead rods and motors & PEI bed & all metal hot end = 550 C max but used at 300 C )
and the
( FLSUN QQ-S Pro Delta Printer also PEI bed upgraded & fitted a Titan Extruder ) No end of issues with both f them no matter the work done?
I have a Elegoo Neptune 3 and the Elegoo Neptune 3 Max, the Neptune 3 hot end throat needed replacing ( just got the bi-metal throats now )
The Neptune 3 Max just being a swine as it worked great for ages and now will not do leveling right even after tons of manual and auto leveling done
and I getting upset with the time I put in only to have it still not level enough to print right?
I have now the BTT Pad 7, I wish to klipper both Neptune 3's But being new to klipper I can't find a video step by step to set up both of them on to the pad 7 klipper control?
Anyone know of a help video clearly showing how to do these two Neptune Printers in to klipper by the Pad 7? Maybe then I can get them working better and faster?
I having to only do fast printing on the new Qidi X-Plus-3 Printer I have now. I done the hobby for 5 years now but still not able to do all the g-coding and klipper stuff yet?
That is a lot of machines! Very cool!
@@LoyalMoses Thanks I just now ordered the Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus online from the Elegoo UK site, their sale is on for the next 4 days from now!
The Neptune 4 Plus cost me £283.99p ( $359.00 ) with free shipping due to the sale and the fact their warehouse is in the UK so be between 3 to 7 days delivery time.
The saving on the non sale price here saved me £81.00p by getting it on sale now! 😉
BTW, Can you do a video about how us dummies in klipper codes set up any printer/s for klipper using the BTT Pad 7 I have?
nice step by step easy one so others like me whom have the pad 7 can use it to run any printer/s so it is not a waste of money buying that unit. Thanks for the great videos 🤔
Congrats and yes, I can definitely do that! Would be a lot of fun!
I have the machine and I like it, but it is difficult to get the bed perfectly leveled. If only this machine had auto nozzle height adjust!
One tip is to just power it off, and move the print head manually to each area of the bed, and eyeball it close to the nozzle using the knobs underneath. Go around a few times. Then you can adjust z from the user interface after you power it on.
The cigarette TV lives!
Haha! Yesterday I caught a slight smell of it still… it seams it’s faded away, or I’ve inhaled it all! 😳
I have never had power loss recovery work for me, and I have heard of it creating more issues than it solves. Just get a UPS.
I’ve had very mixed results. Sometimes they resume on the next layer, ruining the print, sometimes on the same layer doubling up filament and sometimes they just work great! This one I stopped during infill and it resumed just fine.
Also, I agree. A UPS is the way to go.
Don't you ever worry about running out of filament??
All the time! I must get more!
@@LoyalMoses yes! This is the way 👍
So as of right now both Elegoo Neptune 4 plus and artillery sidewinder x4 plus are both $350 between the 2 which is better?
I would likely lean towards the Elegoo if I was forced to choose.
@@LoyalMoses Thanks for the reply
"Little" Mario Mushroom. Lol.
LOL
how fast does gloop cures ?
It will set in about 1 to 2 minutes, and cure in 24 hours.
what size is that mushroom?
BIG!
Where can I buy the gloop glue from?
From their website! 3DGloop.com
Thank you so much I appreciate your help.

@@LoyalMoses I don’t see any stock profile
I want one. Lol
Such a nice machine!
@@LoyalMoses I am looking to purchase my first machine, and this one meets all of my requirements. I’m hoping to pick one up in the near future. Wishing I could get one for my birthday, but I know it is not possible for me too at this time. Soon though.
@@LoyalMoses im getting close to having enough for one soon. excited and nervous about it. lol
Your video must be the reason Gloop is sold out everywhere until at least mid April. lol
Could be! LOL
@@LoyalMoses Well, you did a good job advertising it anyhow. I bought a large bottle, and it was because I took your advice, and bought an Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus, which I've fallen in love with. It's been running every day, for a month now too. Thank you.
why aren't those spots designed to snap in?
I know! I wish they were too! Wouldn't that be cool!
The 385mm height is so annoying. I have so many models that I designed to work at exactly 400mm (like the industry standard has been for large format).
400 is a big machine, not super common.

The electric noise from the CRT is giving me a headache!
😳 You can’t hear that CRT, the noise gate is set way to high for it to even come close to coming through the mics. ⚡️
@@LoyalMoses I swear I hear electric noise every time you talk!
Oh wow! I’ll check, I think that is a printer or the PC in the room! Sorry, I’ll work on that! 💜
