I use LSW tire on my scraper steiger and front wheel assist tractor and they performed great pulling the scraper

Love the video good information. I farm in southern Illinois. 150 cows 1400 acres and have been lobbying for the upgrade to these tires for some time now to my father and uncle who obviously have the money resources to do so where as I do not; yet that is. Given the opportunity I look forward to trying these tires out. Until then I look forward to watching more and more videos on tractors set up with these lsw tires. I think they are really cool and hearing about guys saying that they pay for themselves in as little time as 1 year just adds to the interest in the lsw tires
We appreciate the complement Jacob! Interest around these tires has been building each year with more farmers making the switch. On your farm, what application would you like LSW singles for?
NTS Tire Supply our john deere 9430 fwd could really benefit from a switch to lsw tires. It has 710/42 duals on it now and it goes through extreme power hop as well as road lope. Given the opportunity to make the switch I would lean more towards putting the new 1400s on rather than duals again. So for us I would swap tires on our fwd and our combine. Our combine has 520/38 duals on it and I would swap them out with 1100/46 singles. Not a fan of duals on the combine.
Yep, that would likely solve the power hop and road lope issues. But for now if you want to give us a call we can help walk you through adjusting your air pressure on the 9430 to fix your power hop. We have a set of scales and have gone out and corrected a lot of 4WD power hop issues over the years and consider ourselves to be a bit of an expert on the subject:) A lot of times on the John Deere's we've found we've needed to move some weight from the back to the front, and then adjust the air pressure after that.
NTS Tire Supply that's ok I can deal with it for now. I am curious though of guys who use these tires on sprayers. The videos I've seen talk about guys putting 800 lsw s on and spraying there wheat and it leaves no track behind. Just curious if they also spray corn and beans with the wide 800s as well just after it sprouts
Jacob, we haven't had much experience yet with LSW's on sprayers so I don't have any feedback for you yet. However, we do sell a lot of wide float tires for sprayers in more traditional sizes like 710/70R38's and 650/65R38's, and they have been used on corn and beans after emergence but before there is any stock to break, and the results have been better then with duals, even though the tire runs over the plants. There has been testing done on this in Iowa and that proved that wide floats driving over the row had better yields then duals with a smaller footprint running between the rows. The reason for this is because the duals still cause compaction in the root base because of row pinch between the tires from them sinking in more, whereas the wider tire with less compaction doesn't hamper root growth as much.
I bet you sold more LSW tires in Minnesota in 2019 as we had our wettest year on record.
Goodyear has always had horrible ag tires in the past. Have these tires proved themselves or are good year titan lsw just doing better advertising?
The bumpy ride, the wear and tear with duals and the problem of turning is explained in this film about dollys. The inner and outer tyres is attached on two different positions on the axle. They are forced to turn with the same velocity, but has to travel two different distances. That is no possible by physical law unless the tires are forced to rotate towards each other.

Torben Sollyst Mikkelsen yes this is true, But the same stresses happen to these 1400’s. The inside and outside of the tire have to cover a substantially different amount of distance during a turn.
Of course they’re better. They look flipping awesome.

Goodyear/Titan feels the best questions are the ones that are never asked. Questions only lead to more questions and those questions turn into conspiracies and before you know it, there's a horde of BLM protesters staged at the Akron HQ calling for the CEO's head.
